haha unfortunately it wont be slammed anytime soon.

its expensive to modify the suspension.

you have to make your own coils for it

autozone etc has it

its in a blue box w a 196oz container

should be enough for the whole undercoating.

you gotta make sure you really sand it or it will chip off.

its under 75 bucks

apply w a paintbrush

and thanks man; i got lucky w how clean it is overall. has less rust than my s13

You can use s13 coils in the front, but you have to use s13 front knuckles and disk brakes, and for the rears just take off the top mounting base of the rear coil and take off the spring and make it into one rod that goes through the strut hole. Megan actually makes a coilover kit for the s12 front and rear for $950.

no.

you need s13 tension rods, s14 tension rod brackets, knuckles spindles, etc. etc.

the stock stuff doesnt fit so you need your choice of coils.

and why would i buy megans? i dont buy cheap s***.

i would much rather build my own using koni dampers from a MR2, GC coilover sleeves and some pillowball mounts: and as far as just putting a coilover sleeve over the shock in the back sure you can do that but im almost positive you gotta modify the shock tower since its tiny.

believe me ive researched it. and almost 1000 dollars for suspension on a daily is out of the question for me right now

there is a privately run business on club s12 who builds coils for around 850 (fronts are coils backs aren't full coils but again part of my goal with this isnt a off the shelf car, drift slut or track whore.

its a daily driver.

if i do end up going coils you bet your a** ill build my own.

i couldn't refuse this for the price; and i wanted a nice way to get rid of the KA... what better way to recycle a strong single slammer in a under-represented chassis?

Trade for my '88 MR2. Its a 5spd, and my current daily. I just need something larger.....do you know any sites for the S12 aside from Club-s12.org?The MR2 only has about 32K on the engine after the rebuild. I can get you pics and a vid if you want or change your mind. I just really want an S12.

lol at "hype" I even sigged it.

I like what you did with the black frame rail and silver bay. I hear what your saying without dropping to o much into a daily or just a cheap project in general.

Can't wait to see how you attack this some more.

White Comet wrote:dude come on now. i found s12s for sale on cl without looking for em. and no one wants an aw11.
There really was no need for that...I'm just trying to find a nice example. S12's aren't that easy to find, I have been checking CL also, check all of PA/NY/NJ/CT/MA/RI/VA/MD/DE, etc...all I found were a few rusty automatics...that isn't what I'm looking for. I know you have a preference, but the AW11 is a great platform for different types of builds. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean that others don't. I'll admit, it wasn't my first choice for a daily driver, but it beat the '98 4 door Ford Escort I had at the time, and gets better gas mileage. Downside is the lack of space, obviously. I'm used to driving rotaries. I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or just a d!ck about it....sarcasm I can take, but being a d!ck isn't very nice. The proper thing you SHOULD have done was just PM me if you had a comment to make, instead of making yourself look ridiculous. That would have been the mature thing to do. I'm sure I'll get some sort of response to this, I just felt your comment wasn't needed, considering it wasn't even you I offered the trade to in the first place. +1 for a good fail though....

what are the plan this week? Sucks you moved so fast because I want to buy it lol, no but I wanted to see those datsun wheels on this. I think it would look nice with them, but I am just a fan of those wheels all together.

I know its not the time yet but are the gauge signals going to work with the S13 KA ECU? I am curious about the tach signal

still have the datsun mags.

they are in the loft.

i MIGHT not run them right away; only due to the fact im not lookin to buy tires for them (and i have 4 sets of wheels/tires i could use with good tread left)

when i do run them im thinking of getting some old school tires with white lettering (70s 80s muscle car style) cuz it will look rad.

and oo yes all the stock gauges will work; its a cut and splice job similar to the SR.

plus greeneyes is taking a look at the body harness early next week to hopefully clean it up a bit.

im thinking the ECU will mount in the glovebox, since the stock ECU is on the drivers side and the KA is on the passengers.

all in due time.

and wanted to buy what? or are you poking fun at the noob?

Anyway, the last thing I'll say in this thread is that he's got a really nice example of a S12, hope the swap goes smoothly and the car becomes what you want. I'm not out to make enemies, and I'm sorry if I came off that way.
