orly?

that is what is going to go on them.

i have them in the loft/ceiling i built

well i might run some teardrops for now since they have good tires, im not lookin to spend alot to get this thing on the road.

if we have another s-chassis in october this is what is coming more than likely.

the s13 is going in for more rust repair and then awaiting a swap

ok update time!! sorry its been a busy week; last day at my one job-(had two for almost a year; and decided that id be far easier to just pick up more hours at the restaurant and have more free time for a social life)

anyways.... i pulled out alot of the interior; the carpet is in desperate of cleaning.

gross

during tear down.

as it sits (need someone else to help wiggle the dash out( alot of s12 guys say you need to pull the steering wheel to get it out

backseat( hatch area is much the same) what else is a s chassis back seat good for anyways

finally got the pesky CA 20 out of the bay. I caught one of the PS hard lines on a small clip of the auto trans. i released the engine rather hard in frustration and hit the rack pretty hard; it started oozing ATF Im hoping i didnt do too much damage

turd is waiting for a truck to be turned into scrap metal.( after pulling some useful stuff i can barter with )

the dirty bay

the dirty a** garage

tmw is a clean up day; im gonna organize some of the parts- put some of this stuff back in the loft finish stripping the block and hopefully clean the floor up after i spilled so many diff types of fluid everywhere.

i think for now a squeaky clean stock interior... no auto belts ftw!!!

if it was as ugly as the cress's i would rip it all out and kill it with fire!!!

but the tan is rather nice.

i think im gonna keep the 80s clarion unit cuz its so rad. and im cheap

but yea seriously u need to come down here and give me a hand. and mention something to keegan. i dont have his number

ill prob need more help when the KA comes out (EGR delete etc.)

im currently trying to find wriing diagrams, and figure out some suspension solutions that are on a budget. meh at LEAST stuff that will be tough to get to later (steering rack etc.)

Have you ever noticed that the older the Nissan/Datsuns are the more the engine bays look like someone puked up a bunch of wires and said, "that looks fine. ship it out".

full s13 body swap would be ALOT of work for a simple KA.

im gathering all the diagrams so i can show you wat i mean; but im thinking just sliming down the harness a bit, and hiding the rest of the relays either in the dash area or along the inner fenders

im just amused there the relays werent in boxes to begin with

jumping on this thread bandwagon, hoping this project gets finished, im in the same boat, but mine is 5 speed.

Best of luck with the swap, what are you gonna do about the motor mounts to the crossmember?

i think it's a legit question. and now i'm curious too lol. what are you planning on doing with the car? rally? drift? autocross? ____ ? i don't think you ever mentioned what you were going to do with it.

ummmmmmmmmmmm ok well sorry u are just normally a d!ck so i thought u were pointing out the typo (really want a mod to fix it)

im just going to swap in the KA, and daily it. my current daily (cressida) was a last minute thing, and the terrible gas mileage is a deal breaker (plus its an auto)

but the more im thinking about it after i swap something into the s13 i may do some serious suspension work to this and autocross it (dont care as much if it gets damaged)

and didderson i havent gotten anything else done. the engine and trans are at the scrap yard; the garage is cleaned up a bit but we have family coming in from outta town for a wedding so no progress till next monday.

Wow, this miss-communication can start a thermonuclear war sometimes. Save your anger for the commies boys... lol.

I say daily the S12 with and keep it clean, and beat the s*** out of the S13 at the track.

update time

cleaned up ALOT actually.

started on stripping the undercoating and primered one wheel well. i discovered that the front shocks are blown and now considering options.

i might just do spring/strut combo for cheapness reasons; seeing as this is gonna be my DD and i dont want to have my 240 sit for ages like some local guys (totally not directed at you WC)

i removed EVERYTHING from the bay. im gonna replace the front brakes (hard lines included) and use the stock S13 BMC.

i think i am going to cut the stock brake pedal; and just get a cover from a 5spd 240 and you wont be able to tell.

good news is; PS lines from the sohc s13 rack can be used. bad news the rack looks rather worn so i might replace the tie rods at LEAST.

new swaybar bushings, tension rod bushings and steering rack bushings are next on my list (shocks/ struts are gonna be in a few weeks)

ok pics

the suspension half assed off the car

almost everything off....

bare bay

ewwwwwwwww ps steering rack

wire brushed off

primered

just needs bed liner

ok its been a while, and i've been hard at work

finished sanding the undercarriage and laid down the undercoating.

same as my s13.

i got a bit lazy and didnt do around the rear subframe (the factory or maybe extra undercoating was pretty nice to begin with.

shell in the air

i got lazy as well thats the only picture of it really

OK so wednesday jeff (whitecomet) and myself when to a massive yard (location is a secret) and picked up a s*** ton of parts.

i spend less then 50 bucks for both petal assemblies, BMC, CMC, two headlight motors, a factory s12 lip kit (sorry tom no pics of that for some reason)

and a bunch of other stuff.......

anywayz

back to da build

desided to spray the whole car.

silver and black two tone, with the hood black as well.

so i figured why not continue that theme in the bay?

theres the finished product.

a few runs, but i will prob spend more time on the body than in the bay.

got a bit of modivation to put in the master cylinder and pedals

and da pedals

moved all the junk over under inside and ontop the car so i could pull the 240 in.

supposed to be strong storms the next couple days, and im going to philly on monday sooo no work on it till tuesday.

k thanks bye

Just 2 weeks ago those rails were chipped and burned lookin, now they're black with a silver bay. I love it man. Great idea on the 2 tone. Makes it look even more classic (frame and body lol)

Get some pics of that lip kitt
