Well I'm sure that everyone knows by now that parts for Japanese cars are more expensive than the domestic counterparts........... SO I found a set of knock off Cobra R wheels that are the right size (17X9) for a little under $270 shipped to my door!

Don't worry they are 5 lug.

So our cheap bastard wheels came in yesterday. I get these cheap because they were "scratch and dent" but I'll let you take a look at the worst one.

and here is the worst dent of any of the wheels

I think I could have dented that wheel worse by throwing a Nerf ball at it! So now we need some rubber to put on these bad boys. I think Sean and I have come to an agreement that Toyo RA-1's will fit the bill for now, 255/40/17 front and 275/40/17 rear.

Then it will be on to home made widebody/aero to cover those up and I think that if everything goes as planned we are going to have some impressive looking stuff to show you when its done.

255/40/17 front and 275/40/17 rear? Badass. Can't wait to see the widebody you guys put together. Looking good!

Let me know when you guys will mess with it and I'll come down that way, Mark. Need to get rubber and mount the wheels ASAP... well not really but it will look good actually seeing something that fits on the rear!

Are we gonna need spacers on the rear too, with the 275's?

It's gonna be a bunch of hand laid fiberglass goodness. I've been reading a bunch on race car aero so it should be sick as long as we can mold it right.

Mustang 17x10.5 +24's cleared inboard on the S14. The S13 shouldn't be a problem. Since the tires you guys are running are a bit smaller than the ones I ran, you might be able to get away with a big pull. Not sure how much narrower the S13 is than the S14, though.
