The B&M shifter is def. one of the best mods I've done to the car. It makes shifting so much smoother and faster. As for the oil pan, I know mine was welded it. You may have to look around too see anyone makes it.

Yea I was looking and most just seem to be a stock pan with a welded bung. I still got time to worry about that, turbo is my next year's vacation project.

Does the B&M lower the shift knob as well? I know some short shifters do, but not all are made the same. I was wanting to go to Englishtown tomorrow for the strip, but prolly won't happen cause the the 'snow'. Anyone planning on going to the Javis (sp?) Center for the auto show? It start today to the 30th.

We gotta meet up again soon looking for spots, I installed one of my boss' old Simpson harness in my car yesterday. Just remove the rear seat and I'm good to go, I have a pic, but with the rear seat in. I'll post it later, I'm on lunch right now. Right now it's only a 4-Point, I gotta put a bolt through the floor for the crotch strap.

Ya. We definitely need to start getting the meets going again. There's a decent industrial area right by the White Castle that we always meet at. That's where we found the lot that I posted the video of a few days ago. A lot of other places I still need to look at, but I need to finish getting my car back together first. I spent today getting the evaporator and old carpet out and doing a bunch of other stuff. Then my dad helped me weld some holes in the floor. Going to try to get the interior back together tomorrow and install camber bolts.

I found some sweet pictures of Tsuchiya from way back... lol.

I heard the track is open today. Is the autocross still off today, since it's held by the SCCA? I might go, I'm going to chill at my friends house, who lives like 5 min from the track. I might end up going, we'll see...if I do go, my goal is to get into the 16's. Since last time I ran low 17's and had ****ty runs every time, I can't find my slips or else I'd post my times.

Their website says that the autocross was canceled. The autocross at Giants stadium tomorrow is still on though. I'm going.

The track was closed, I got there around 4:30. The security guard said there wasn't a big turn out. When I was driving down the ticket road, there was one car making a ton of smoke. There was a little track set up in the parking lot on the spectator side. I saw a few 240s, one nice lookin white one, I think it's the same one I saw at this performance shop down the road from me. Well use to be there. Still not sure why he told me the track was closed, since there were cars obviously using the course...idk maybe the organizers...

Oh well, tomorrow their closed, so I'm shooting for next week. What time is your thing tomorrow?

The 240s were in a parking lot?

Registration closes at 8:45 tomorrow. A good time to be there is 8:15, but if you're not going to race, you can come anytime. It usually ends by 4pm.

I just woke up a little while ago, turns out I have plans with the family. By the time I got going and got there, it would be close to ending.

Yea I saw one deffinitly, couldn't really tell about the others. Coulda been. There was an Advanced Drifting on the schedule yesterday, that maybe what they were there for.

Yeah. I just saw that it was the first Club Loose event. I thought it was this Wednesday, but I guess they had it yesterday.

Autocross was fun. Dat broke a stud on his car trying to change tires, so we both drove my car. I'll post some pics and results later.

Better before the race, than during, even though -1 stud won't or shouldn't cause to much of a problem. I wanna check out Club Looses regular drifting events too, get a feel for it. Not to mention and this may be like sacrilegious, but I've yet to go to any form of drift event, besides what we did.

I'd love to make it to one of these auto-crosses, but it sucks it's so early. I like sleeping in on my one day off. I'm trying to also get to the N.Y Auto Show, but it's only till sunday. Seeing if anyone was up for it, I haven't gone in like two or three years.

Also can I get everyone's .02 on Enkei Mesh 92's. I told my friend I'm prolly gonna end up getting em. He went on and on about how Enkei's are **** and they won't hold up against pot holes, drifting and such since their cast. I find it hard to believe a rim manufacturer that had a big part in racing makes weak wheels.

One stud shouldn't be a problem, but the tech inspection people would have probably complained if they saw it.

The club that holds events at Giants Stadium does a few autocrosses on Friday afternoons from 3pm until sunset. Here's their schedule: http://autox4u.com/MSNE/index.htm. And the Englishtown events shouldn't be so bad for you since you won't have to drive an hour.

Enkeis are fine. You'll only have problems with pot holes if you run super low profile tires.

Some pictures from yesterday:

Me with the rocket start lol:

Dat locking up the left front... not used to garbage tires:

Looks fun, but I still needa do some things before I do anything like that. I seriously need new brakes, rear struts and an alignment. But when that's done I think I should be good.

How'd those camber bolts work out?

I didn't have time to put on the camber bolts before Sunday. I'll see what they do next weekend. I really want to take a closeup picture of the car going through a corner so I can see how much its rolling over and how much more camber I need.

Results came out from Sunday. All the 240s ran pretty close: Archie (51.653), Angelo (52.750), Me (52.878), Dat (53.273). But the sad thing is that three of us got beat by a Honda Fit with "FITRARI" on the license plate. He ran 51.693... lol wtf.

A better picture (you can even see the bird crap residue on my hood):http://moonlightingphoto.com/g...edium

hey miro - good lap times considering your stock setup.just my 2cents...make sure you tighten and secure your camber bolts after installation, I had them on my car but I took them off due to clunking noises during hard cornering - i cant get the nut tight enough, maybe some loctite would've helped. use a thermometer on your tires to find out how much camber you need. measure the temps on the outside, middle, and inside part of your tire tread to see which part scrubs the road more. take the temps as soon as you pit.the "FITRARI" ran pretty well - pretty good driver, he probably got the suspension dialed in to his driving, his new azenis probably helped a bunch too.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be checking the bolts often to make sure they don't come loose. I like the new sig.

Anyone interested in autocross Saturday or Sunday?

I'm going to visit my list of tire places Saturday night and stock up for some drifting the following weekend.

Let's plan for a meet on Saturday April 5th. I'm open to any location, but if there are no suggestions, we can do White Castle as usual.

Nice. Did you get the 8kg/6kg or 9kg/7kg springs?

I got it with the 12/10 installed but I have the 8/6 springs to swap in when I feel the need. I only got the chance to install the rears so far. I'll be finishing it up next weekend at my shop followed by a full alignment.

Damn. 12/10 is pretty crazy for a street car. I didn't even know they came with that spring rate.

LoL Hey dat, find a place to drift w/o being hassled and I'll be there every night like clock work. I still haven't really found anything by me, as I said before, it's too residential.

What are you looking to store? Just a car or parts too?

I have some ideas that probably shouldn't be discussed here. We need to start the meets again (and now they will be better since we've become wiser from our past experiences... lol).

Also, I'm going to try really hard to make it to E-town for the Club loose event on 4/30. I can't say I'll definately be there but most likely.

Dat, if you don't find anyone with space, you can go on craigslist and rent a garage for like $150-$200 per month.
