Huh?

I put my control arms in today...and in the process I managed to replace my steering rack boots and my end links I love spur of the moment choices.

Well I broke one end link, a bit rusty. I found out the right side (the one that gets hit most lol) was bent. The boots have been broken, I was gonna change em with my tie rods, but since I was in there. I definitely noticed a change over bumps, even from before the curbings. Doesn't feel like it slams, like if you were bottoming out. Still pulls to the right a little, but I blame the tension rod.

I still can't get the real feel until I get the tension rods in. I'm gonna haveta get an alignment after all this. Miro, does your dad's shop do alignments?

Unfortunately not. I'll be doing my alignment with a tape measure in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know how it works out.

Dat and I are going. It's at Giants Stadium, not at Englishtown. (The first Englishtown autocross event is in a few weeks.) You need to be there by 8:45am at the latest. Here's the site if you want to look at rules or whatever:

Tape measure? If your doing what I think your doing, all your gonna be able to adjust is toe. I know there's no front camber adjustments (unless you got your bolts). But I also have caster to worry about now, since the tension rods are adjustable.

I can see the right wheel is still set back a little, I'm hoping the t.r's change that. That's this sunday at medowlands? I definitely can't make it there that early, sunday's are my one day a week to sleep in. Not to mention the potholes around there and my ghetto rigged t.r might not get along so well.

I'm going to set the toe and camber when I get the camber bolts. I need to think of exactly how I'm going to measure camber, but don't think it'll be too hard.

I wouldn't mess with the caster. If you change it with the T/C rod, you're pulling the control arm forward or pushing it backward, and I don't think it was designed for that.

Yeah, it's pretty early this Sunday, but you'll wake up when you mow down some cones doing 50.

I'm not sure if i have this right but its $30? Thats seems mad expensive if u ask me. Formula drift was even cheaper and that was a huge event. With mad sponsors

It's free if you want to watch, $45 if you want to race.

If you're just going to come to watch and hang out, you can come any time during the event. It usually ends around 3pm. But if you want to compete, you need to be there by 8:45 to register and get your car inspected.

When's the next event after this one?

I don't plan on adjusting caster...yet. But it's nice to know when I get an alignment they can make sure that's on point in case any mounting points are a little bent. Do you know of any places that you can go and buy the camber bolts?

The next one is on the 16th at Giants Stadium, then 22nd at Englishtown, then 23rd at Giants Stadium.

You mean without ordering the bolts online? I don't know. I've only seen them on courtesyparts.com. But maybe you can buy them at AutoZone or something. It's a pretty common thing, so they might have it.

Maybe, I'll ask some parts stores my shop uses. I'm just trying to get them soon, before the alignment.

Let me know if you find them. Shipping costs almost as much as the bolts. I'll ask at AutoZone next time I'm there.

Get Nino to give you a ride to the Meadowlands for autocross on Sunday. Or better yet, get TJ's car, and race it on Sunday.

Autocross was fun except for when my water pump crapped out after the sixth run. There were six 240s there. I'll post up the results when they come out.

I'll hopefully have the new water pump installed and lightweight battery in the trunk by next week's event. Just finished making the battery mount:

I also got some new ideas for lots. I'll check them out when I get the car running again.

That sucks, have you ever done a pump on your car before? Hopefully this week I'll be back to normal and can start looking for lots. Ima need new tires soon though, my treads are getting pretty low. I still have my spare steelies in the hatch with almost full tread, but I wanna keep them for when I NEED them.

I think ima go 205/50's this time around, I wanna see how much, if any, of a difference the lower pro sidewall will work.

Yeah. I actually changed the pump a month ago and haven't had any problems with it, so I was definitely not expecting that to break. But I got a new one for free (still under warranty) and changed it this morning.

Lower profile will definitely help. Let me know if you want some crap rear tires. We can go to the place in Fort Lee where I get my free junk tires next time you're up here.

Go to Fort Lee and get arrested/shot by MP's? LoL

Only reason I asked about the pump is cause I did mine last summer when I did my timing. Scary that a new pump will fail like that. Did you originally get new or re-built?

UPS's site says my rods had a depature scan on the 7th...and that's it, guess it takes more than 4 days to get from the west to east coast by plane lol. They estimate it will be here Thursday, hopefully. Did you check out any lots yet?

We actually weren't doing anything wrong that time we almost got arrested. At the worst, we'll get lectured again by the cops about how our tires will last for years if we drive "normally."

The pump was new. It must have been defective somehow because I've never seen a leak like that from a pump. When my last one went bad, it was a really slow leak. I drove around with it for a weak and barely lost any coolant. This time, all the coolant was gone after 10 minutes. I had to put a whole gallon in it just to get back home.

The guy taking pictures was in the run group that all the other 240s were in, so there are no pics of us.

Sexxy pic..hahahaha...What happened to you on the 3rd, 4th run? You were drifting the sh*t out of the course the first 2 and then calmed it down after that. Did they talk to you!?

Yeah, I think they got sort of mad because I destroyed half the course on the first run; didn't hit as many cones on the second run. Damn it's hard to drift through those little gates... lol. They told me to stop after the second run.

I got some pretty decent speed runs after that though. I'm curious to see the times, but this club always takes forever to post the results.
