But their troopers, the whole state is their town. I'll clean up any mess I make I guess I'll have to throw a broom and dust pan in my car along with the other mandatory drift stuff.

Do kids still street race? They better reinforce their floor pans for that double shot

The passenger floor pan is a common weak point on the Eclipse... lol.

Dat, what year is the Supra? I'll ask my dad and let you know how much it'll be. My number is 2015625770.

I messed up something bad

After a 45 min drive from my friends, which I have to pass multiple deer infested roads, I'm back in my area. It's late and I'm hungry...let's get some Taco Bell! Good idea, right? Pshh...

The drive-thru is a U shaped, but at the U's apex it's a little straightened out. No I wasn't drifting it. I was going fast at all, because this chick couldn't decide if she wanted to stop or roll through a STOP sign. I even had it in N. As I went to turn the wheel left to finish the U, well can you say massive understeer? The car wouldn't turn...brakes? Why would they work? Black ice. Went onto the curb...again on the same corner. I backed off, got my **** and pulled into a lot across the street, when I could tell something wasn't right.

I looked under and couldn't see anything. Tire wasn't flat, again a minor scuff on the rim, barely noticable. But that brace is taking a damn beating. I could hear something creaking once in awhile on the right, the brake was also grinding. It drives straight...if you hold the wheel, but has a nasty pull to the right. It wasn't until the first red light I knew something was bad. I was only doing about 35 and stepped on the brake lightly, the car pulled to the right and it became unpredictable, I heard grinding and I heard something fall out. I pulled over asap, I couldn't see anything. So I took the back roads home and just downshifted and used the E-brake. I'll asses the damages tomorrow at work.

Does anyone know anything about this crazy legal system? Would I have a case against Taco Bell? That straightened U part is ALWAYS flooded, there's marsh lands around it. It's usually flooded to the right (and it was), I guess a bit of water made it to the left and froze. I mean it's their property and they have to be aware of the problem. Not to mention its kinda dark by that turn...

That sucks, but don't think it's worth the time or money to take legal action against Taco Bell. Nothing you could do... at least you hadn't replaced that bracket with a new one yet.

Why not? That's bull****, black ice in the drive thru? Same as ice on the walkway. Idk I'll have to think about it, plus my parents have a good lawyer, he may be able to tell me if I have anything.

I still gotta see what the damage is, I have a feeling it isn't gonna be good... I wish I could get a loan to just fix my front end all at once lol

If you have a lawyer that you can talk to for free, then it's a different story.

So I had ordered my wheels and tires for autocross and was waiting for them to ship and today I get a call from edge racing and they tell me the wheel was discontinued and they don't have any more in stock. Uggh. This sucks. So if anyone knows where I can get 17x7.5 +32 (or lower offset) wheels for less than $150, let me know (preferably not Rota but that's what I might have to get).

That sucks, whats wrong with Rota wheels?

Bad news time Snapped tension rod, bent control arm and suspect bent tie rod (Can't tell with everything else bent). Pictures speak better than words...

Yup fun Without the tension rod, the suspension moves freely, when I stepped on the brake, the wheel slowed down, but not with the car, getting pushed into the wheel well, that's the grinding/rubbing I heard. That brace seems to be built to last, besides the obvious hit, it's just slightly bent. Here's what a good control arm looks like (other side)

It was slow at work today, my boss and I were able to ghetto rig something together, so it's atleast driveable. First I had to beat/bend the control arm to get at one of the t.r bolts

After a little cutting and drilling, BRAVO, not as good as new, but works for the time being.

I was gonna hold off on the T.R's, but considering the circumstances...I think I might have to I'll be ordering Tein's monday or tuesday. I found a site that has em for $198, as much as Kazama on frsport (who also wanted $240 for Tein). I'll do the control arm's sometime in march. I still gotta look into them, I haven't even priced em yet. I saw one site that had OE arms with poly bushings and a new ball joint for I think under $100 each, which wasn't bad.

Yea I've found a few site's that have the OE replacements for pretty much around the same price. There was one site though that sells the OE arm with a poly bushing already in it. I remember I stumbled across it when I first started looking for tension rods a week or two ago, but I can't remember the name of the site now. I coulda sworn it was one of the sponsors.

LoL thanks. I needed something, the car is way to unsafe to drive without a t.r. You can't use the front brakes, I had a nice slow calm ride to work this morning. Good thing I adjusted my e-brake when I got my drift knob.

It's hard to tell from the picture. There's only one bolt holding the metal to the control arm, that 'new' bolt is just going through the t.r to the piece of metal

Found the site. Unfortunatly their currently outta stock of the pre-press poly arms, but their a tad more money than I thought. For the extra money they charge for the bushing and service, I can almost buy the whole poly bushing set for the suspension. But good if your looking for fast and easy, especially if your unable to press in the new ones yourself, then by all means.

Haha. Yeah, a drive-thru is definitely a third gear corner.

But seriously, you should put on the steel wheels when you go drifting so you don't mess up the alloys if you hit something. That's why I always had the alloys on the back before.

Yea I know. I just need two tires for the steelies sitting next to me right now. I can't have more than one type of rim on my car, it'd drive me nuts. I forgot my insurance is due this weekend...so much for ordering the t.r's this week.

When's the next meet up? I hope it's after I get my t.r's and arms, cause I'm not drifting until I get them. Miro, your dad does inspections?

I got some hubcaps that look exactly like the alloys. You could put those on... lol.

Also, I still have four or five tires from a few weeks ago when we went to that tire place and almost got arrested. So you can take a couple or we'll go back there some time.

Next meet is Saturday (March 1st). We'll meet up with the three guys from Paramus and check out a spot that the guy I talked to mentioned. Probably won't be doing any drifting unless that spot is ridiculously good.

Yeah, my dad does inspections, but you'll have to put that catalytic converter back on first... heh.

DAMN IT

I won't have the rods by next Saturday, I'll be ordering them that monday or tuesday....didn't I say that already? Unless some one has a stock tension rod and control arm for dirt cheap for the time being.

Yeah, but I told the Paramus guys that we would meet up that weekend before your drive-thru incident happened. We'll see what happens. The week after that should be pretty good though with autocross and maybe some drifting. The wheels I ordered aren't coming in for another six weeks ( long story), so I'll be using the autocross event that weekend as drifting practice. I won't even be close to beating anyone on my current tires so might as well have some fun (legally).

Hey what's up guys...I'm one of the "Paramus" guys. Travis and I checked out the lot he told you about off of Rt. 17. The lot itself isn't too bad but is noticeable to traffic on 17 themselves. I'm assuming it wouldn't take too long before the cops would show up. Think we may have to ditch that idea. The name is Eulises by the way. Anyone find any suitable places yet?

Hey man, welcome aboard! I wish my name was Eulises (Is that pronounced like General Grant in the Civil War?).

Unfortunatly no one has a solid spot yet, once I get my tension rods replaced I'll start looking again, but I don't like driving my car right now the way it is. Hopefully sometime within the next two - three weeks

Thanks. Yeah, it is pronounced like the general. Let me know when you guys want to me up even if it's just for a meet & greet. In the meantime, we'll keep our eyes out for some perspective locations and let everyone know.
