Your now on the list.RB26-S13 wrote:Hey Bubba, any way I can get in late on the drift day? Still room?
I'd be happy to get some tires shredded and represent the RB26-S13 crowd.
I got this subscribed, I'll check back after 4:00pm today.
Carlisle Fairgrounds is very easy to find. There are links earlier in the thread to show you how to get there.RB26-S13 wrote:Sweet.
yeah. 91 Silvia with RB26. Kinda hard to miss that big *** intercooler and the West Virginia 3-tone.
Although I might get the chance to rattle can it black for the show. If I do, will update.
Is there anyone I need to be in contact via Email or phone for the drift day? I suppose it'll be easy to find? Such n such n such?
As many runs as you want during each period, it depends on how many other drifters there are. There's no minimum or maximum number of runs. The track is about a half mile.. There are pics earlier in this thread. There are no classes or specs, the emphasis is on fun. One car on the track at a time.RB26-S13 wrote:Yeah my buddy and I are comin down and he's from Harrisburg so he knows exactly where the place is.. I was talkin bout the track and where I park my car and stuff...
Will the track cars be separate from the judging and all that jazz? Also, how are the runs setup?
1 run every hour? 1 run every 15? How long is the track approx? 3/8's mile? 1/2 mile? Laps? Or Point-To-Point? Just tryin to get a picture for how much time I'm actually going to be behind the wheel y'know? I have friends that'll be there that won't be in the NICOclub area -- best friend's rockin an IS300 show car, and I had some friends with a shop I'm supposed to be ... free advertising for. Y'know what I mean?
Oh and will this be more than 1 car on the track at a time? Or completely solo?
Don't be surprised to see it sellskydragoness wrote:Hmm. Maybe I should bring my M 2005-rated Fulmer dragon helmet to sell at Carlisle.
Guys I'm leaving for VIR tomorrow morning, returning Wednesday. I'm probably not going to have access to a computer. If anyone wants to sign up that hasn't yet, there's still time.RB26-S13 wrote:Heh. I might stick a For Sale sign on my RB-S13 for ****s n giggles. Lookin at either a GT-R or an M3 or ... something.

I'll add you to the list if you'd like.Onizuka wrote:I haven't been to any car events in a while so I was thinking about coming and doing some autocross and taking some pics. Hey! Will be good to see somebody I know there!Onizuka wrote:I haven't been to any car events in a while so I was thinking about coming and doing some autocross and taking some pics. You're not sleeping in your car. I still have space. It's still only me & Wes.Chaotic_Warlord wrote:I have been slacking on keeping up with this and posting for a while now, works been keeping me uber busy, nothing like a 50 hour work week to kill your social life. Gnik if you still have room that would be cool, I do smoke but I won't smoke in the room, unless you are super sensitivity to the smell of it on someones clothes. I don't chain smoke so I don't think it will be a problem. If the space has already been called for then I'll be looking for alternative sleeping quarters. If I can't find anything by then I'll be sleeping in my car, I only live 4 hours away but I'm not going to drive home then turn around and come back since I have volunteered for track help on Sunday. I would've gotten a room a month ago but I've been trying to get my car track ready.
no joke how much.skydragoness wrote:Hmm. Maybe I should bring my M 2005-rated Fulmer dragon helmet to sell at Carlisle.
I was instructing plus driving. VIR supplied the corner/pit out workers. There were about a dozen workers on the course at any one. The corner worker salaries are included in the cost to rent the track, as well as the EMT staff, , food services, fire and tow truck drivers, security,etc.corey240 wrote:iv been thinking about it and if its at all posible, id apreciate it if sombody can do take my tech spots, id rather only HAVE to do it if nobody will do them. wasnt sombody wanting to do tech befor but it was full? congradulations you got spots. im sick as crap and il be coming down off of it by then so my mind wont be acting right. btw bubba, when you went to vir, where you there driving or flagging? i get the emails aobut them wanting flaggers for different races, im gona do a few this summer, are we using flags?
You also might ask about the size. Price is irrelevent if it doesn't fit....corey240 wrote:no joke how much.
Yes, when you pay your admission to the show at the main gate, you tell them you're doing the NICO drifting. If your name is on the list which I'll be providing them next week, they'll direct you to the paddock. If your name is not on that list, you're not getting in. It's a private event. However, if you have a friend that wants to participate, I must have their info before I send Carlisle the list. Figure Wednesday evening for when I send them the list. There is no additional cost to do the drifting/autocross beyond the admission to the fairgrounds.kas14slider wrote:I just had a question. When I get to Carlisle, do I just say that I am there for the NICO drifting? And is it $20 on top of regular admission for Saturday? Is there a separate entrance for the track guys or do we just go through the main gates and make our way to the course? Also, is there a driver cap or can anyone who shows up decide they want to do the track. Or is this a NICO members only event. And if it is, will that be regulated with a list of members or something like that?

The paddock and NICOfest tent are not close to each other. The course/paddock are on the northern edge of the property. Since you're autocrossing, I assume you'll want to park in the paddock, so I already have your name on the list, but if there's anything additional you need or want, Greg would be 'da man to speak with...skydragoness wrote:

So what do I do? 'Cause I would need to park close by.. should I just email Greg about it?
I see no reason why you can't display your car and drift too. You probably want to go thru tech and register 1st thing early (in the paddock), then take your car to your shops display. That way when it's time to run, you bring the car over to the paddock and get in line.RB26-S13 wrote:What about guys like me? Who will be attending with a shop and displaying their car for the shop, but would like to participate in the dorifto action?
