NICOfest Carlisle 5/5-5/6 needs drifters and autocrossers.

I'm a noob to this stuff and I'm sure it's explained somewhere in this thread but it's a long thread... What exactly do the corner workers do?

Put me down for the Drift 11:00-12:00 Corner worker 3 for Saturday, as well as the 2:45-4:15 Saturday Corner Worker 3 for Drift. I'm not going to volunteer for anything Sunday yet because I'm likely going to head back to Indy around 12 or 1:00 that day.

Wheelsspin and gniknave, thanks mucho for the help, I appreciate it

Cornerworker has a few jobs, from advising the starter that course is clear or not, (there will be flags) to watching for parts that fall off or liquids, replacing cones, etc. I'll go over specifics at the Saturday morning meeting

And if anyone has walkie talkies, like those little multi-channel motorola jobs, please try to bring them.

hey, i got an email from carlisle saying the event fee for nico members is $50... whats the deal with that?

That's because registering with NICO gets you 2 full weekend passes and an entry into the NICO judging which means you park with all the other NICO members. It also means you get to do auto-x and drift, which is something no one else is going to be able to do.

We all have to have to pay admission to get into the Carlisle Performance and Style show. The autocross/drift is a private NICO event within the show. There's actually a lotta stuff going on there besides NICOfest . I posted the tentative schedule earlier in this thread. I believe the $50 is for all 3 days. But you can purchase admission by the day as well.

I'm so psyched I can't wait. only 3 weeks left, have some loose ends to tie up before then so I hope I can get it all done by then. If anyone has a room with some space left (i'll sleep on the floor) I'll pay part of the room fee and I'll be bringing the 360 with me so we can get some gaming in while we're there. Everyone who has one should bring theres so we can destroy those punk kids on GRAW 2 or Rainbow Six Vegas.

wow it really is coming up fast. April is flying. There are still several spots to fill, so whatever spots any of you could help fill would be great appreciated....

I'd say you could crash on our floor but I'm not sure how much room is going to be left because there's already 9 of us gonna be crammed into one room. You may have luck IMing gniknave because he's got a room. Send him a message and see what's up.

Yeah hit me up on AIM. Right now Wes is the only one staying with me at the Holiday Inn next to Hotel Carlisle. I'll have an Aero Bed with me so you're welcome to crash if you want, just bring some sheets & pillows for the bed, it's very comfortable...

I'm trying my hardest to get Jeff (jdmfreak) to get off his a$$ and come to Carlisle but he hasn't told me anything yet. I'd like to have 4 people in the room at the max. If Jeff doesn't tell me anything by Monday, I'll have a spot available for anyone else that's going to need a place to crash.

My room is non-smoking, so all I ask is that anyone that stays with me respects that because I'm pretty allergic to the lingering smell of cigarette smoke. As far as cost, we'll work something out.

i know thi smight be a little out there but. does anybody have a helmet i can borrow for the weekend that isnt driving? and does anyone have some shizity wheels with air holdable tires i can use for the drift? that **** stoll my wallet and now i wont have money to go get some crap wheels and tires. or a helmet. they have thos bell helmets at walmart but only say "DOT" on them and no real ma95 kinda verification.

We can always use additional help with tech, as I suspect it'll be busiest on Saturday morning, I'd be happy to add a slot for you for that . Corner worker spots are what I'm concerned about getting filled.

I'll have a medium open face SA2005 helmet there on Saturday. Just make sure you don't have lice or sweet a lot then I'll let you borrow it for a run, just not while I'm autoXing.
