Actually, that's a good question. I'll be supplying numbers. My son has already printed 125 separate pairs of numbers (paper), which participants receive upon registering. You'll tape them to the inside of both rear quarter windows. I'll bring some tape, but hopefully some other folks can bring some too in case I run out.

The tech approved stickers will go on drivers side top corner of the windshield. The starter will be watching for those tech stickers before they let you on the course.

Also, everyone that registers will be given a wristband, which will also be checked by the starter each time before you go out on course. You'll need to wear them over the two days. (They'll survive showers and whatever other activities you do ). They'll also get you access to the paddock. Carlisle events security will be watching for them.

Great, you 'da man. I'll go over tech with you on that Saturday morning. It won't be difficult. Just wear clothing that you don't mind gets a little dirty.

Everyone that registers will be signing waivers, including a specific one for helmets. This is an "at risk" event, meaning participants are entirely responsible for their own cars and actions. The only insurance there will be your own individual policies.

I can bring some extra tape as well. If we have magnetic numbers already can we use those?

Sure, that's fine. All I ask is that you give the number you want to use in advance so I don't assign that same number to someone else.

I got 22 and also have an extra 1 so if someone wants a cool magnetic 1 to use for Saturday I'll bring that as well.

As for more volunteers, if there are any open spots that need filling once there I'll be glad to step in and pick up some cones when I'm not autoxing. But since I can't do Sunday that might not help.

Good questions. I'm afraid someone else will need to sign off your tech form. I'm sorry.

If you're talking about using your own car to shuttle between the paddock and a corner work assignment, the answer is no. You can't park cars anywhere near the course area while the course is active. BUT, perhaps someone with 4 door vehicle might volunteer to pickup/drop off corner workers at the beginning/end of each shift. Bear in mind , the course is not that big, so it only takes a couple minutes to walk from end to end.

If no one volunteers to chauffeur corner workers, and if you don't want to walk, segways are cool. . Actually, a cheap razor scooter (which fold up nice and small) is another idea.

il be my skateboard, it will work nicely lol. yea i figured it would be beter to have somone eld tech my car anyway. seriously though, do you think i could have enough time to get my car teched, tech cars, and then go corner work? or should i just do tech for an hour so i wont be so rushed? i just dont want to be late to corner work at all.

EDIT: Actualy go ahead and take me off the saturday 9-10 tech, because im signed up for corner work at 930 and that obviously wouldnt work out. im pretty shore sombody els will be there that could cover that hour of tech.

Looks like im late to the party...

Wes Stinson wes @ Q45.org1994 Infiniti Q45tExperience- Ive done auto-X before and Ive taken my car sideways, but I havent drifted on a drift course...

Let me ask, im sure this has been asked before but I ahvent had a chance to read all 8 pages.......... Are we allowed to swap tires for the drift event? I dont want to roast my expensive 275 if I dont have to!!

Can we share helments? I have a couple HJC motorcycle helmets that I can use but I think my cousin ripped the stickers out...

Also, bubba, I will obviously help in any way I can whenever Im not engaging in motorsports...

I'll make the adjustment, no problem. Bear in mind to get to the first corner worker area, you're talking about maybe a 90 second walk. There should be be plenty of time to get from point A to to point B. It's not that big a place.

Hi Wes. Yes, you can absolutely swap out tires. The only catch is you gotta take 'em home with you at the end of the event. Carlisle can't dispose of old tires.

Hmmm. I haven't really thought about helmet sharing. They tend to get kinda sweaty, are you sure you want to do that? I think we can figure out way to make it work, We'll need to know up front whose helmet you're using and confirm during tech that their helmet passed tech. In addition, we might also need an additonal sticker on the car and/or helmet so we could inspect that you have an approved helmet before turning you loose on the course. Gotta think about that a bit more on how we'll do that.

If your cousin removed the stickers from those helmets, don't bother bringing them. You won't be permitted to use them. Sorry.

Thanks for volunteering to help. If you could pick out a few slots, that would great. I'm trying to get all the slots filled in order to prevent course stoppages during shift changes while trying to locate volunteers.

Thanks again!

Im gonna go back and make sure the helmets are OK, I just dont have my own helmet and I dont think I'll have the means to get one before that... I know i should buy one but im guessing it wont happen... Ill try see if I can borrow one locally...

Ill sign up for some slots closer to the time in case people back out or decide to switch around...

Correct. Here's their official address

Carlisle Fairgrounds1000 Bryn Mawr RoadCarlisle PA 17013-1588

http://www.carlisleevents.com

Their website has a tab for directions. It's very easy to get to. Just a few minutes off the PA turnpike or i-81.

The cars will be close enough to where the NICO guys are hanging out... Besides, once you get there and start hanging out with the crew, youll forget that you brought a car...

Count me back in. I reserved my hotel already (might have space for others that haven't reserved yet). Put me down for Auto-X on Saturday. I'll also volunteer for a couple of time slots a couple of weeks before the event.
