I also wanted to ask about doing Auto X. Can you also do auto x on top of drifting? And do you have to be on a separate list for auto x?
I'd check under the lining if I were you. There should be a sticker under there to which will tell you what rating you have.

Hopefully I can borrow someone else's if it comes down to that. The helmet is a half face Gmax and also says DOT on the back. This is the only other sticker I found under the padding:

I'm sure there will be folks there willing to share. But if there's no snell rating sticker, you can't use it.

I'll bring my Snell-M2005-rated Fulmer helmet to the event. I need to sell it as it's too big for me. It says it's a small but it's more like a medium...

For anyone else who needs a helmet: PepBoys actually sells some decently rated M and Snell rated helmets for under $100 usually.

M2005 is practically new. Sounds like a great deal.

I'm leaving for Carlisle from the office tomorrow afternoon, so I'll be signing off here around 9pm tonight if anyone has any other questions.

They're predicting great weather both days, sunny and mild. Don't forget the sunscreen. We'll see you all Saturday am!

Hey Bubba if you haven't submitted the list to the folks at Carlisle I want to add my best friends name to the list. His internet isn't working right now and he wants me to add him to the list.

Name: Ron UlaryCar: 2005 Dodge SRT4AIM: RTU14

He's only going to be there on Saturday and we are looking to be there around 13:00. Let me know if you can get him onto the track so I can let him know. my email is everywhere on these boards.

I apologize for missing my appointment bubba.

My brakes failed and I had the joy of replacing all of the calipers, rotors and pads. But enough excuses, how'd it all go?

I guess I'll be the first to reply...eventhough I can't compliment on Sunday since I was only there for Saturday.

Everything went really smooth and the turn out was pretty good. The course design was good and fast I thought. The off camber turns were interesting and fun to say the least!!

There were hundreds (only an estimate) of people watching during the drifting sessions. The best drift demo had to be from the Dodge

Couldn't have asked for better weather. Thanks Joel for the great time and getting all of this together and all the others involved. I wish we could do this every weekend out here on the east coast....Maybe we should just start a Nissan only auto-x/drift club east coast posse'.

I should have just stayed until Sunday b/c the local autox that I decided to goto today wasn't as fun as Saturday was.

Again, thanks everyone, I had a blast....

Sean (keep me posted on that DVD guys )

Joel, thanks for getting this together for us. I had a great time just thrashing my car all weekend. Greg, thanks for putting up with our shenanigans all weekend and scoring us some free track time. I'm now off to buy 2 new tires and I also found out today that there are a few places around here that I can auto-x for free so I'm definitely going to do that.

Thanks for the kind words. But I really want to thank all of you for coming and pitching in. Really made it a fun special event. Let's do it again some time!

I just want to take this opportunity to say that I had a great time for what few hours I was there until I broke my car.

I also want to apologize to you Bubba for not being there to do the shifts that I had volunteered for.

No apologies necessary. All shifts got covered. I was psyched that you came. It was fun watching you drift.

I know but I still feel like a total ***, I let the opinions of a couple a$$ determine my actions and pushed my car way harder than I should have on my last round when I should have just let the car take a rest so I could enjoy the rest of the weekend and do my turns on the field volunteering like I said I would, it was totally irresponsible of me and my apology still stands, you ever need help with anything just hit me up and I will be there to help you out.

I was standing next to Sean when he got the call about your car, definitely sucked but hey we all felt bad, at least you're not alone in the car troubles!

Anyhow I had a great time buring away, totally had heat-stoke at work yesterday, but at the event I could have cared less!
