2.5 here, ive been tuned for about a month and a half < i think.

UPDATE:

i was just speaking with dangeris on facebook, we both went to the truckaddons.com site. The price is 399. Im not sure if the codes for 30 bucks off works or not.

But he is calling them tomorrow and seeing what the deal is. Hopefully he can get a deal for himself and the rest of you guys wanting this unit.

Update:

Well so far I am not having any success for the Bullydog tuner.I got the update from the engineer's today for my car and I was able to download the tune to my ECU.

I set the tune to PremiumRev limiter to 7100 (you can't set it any higher btw just like a technosquare reflash. So I'm guessing Nissan knows this motor can take 7100 RPM)After thats all done I tested her.

Doesn't feel any faster than before, rev limiter still will not go higher than 6700RPM.

So I'm kinda disappointed so far. GL to you guys tho guess I'll call tech support.

Oh btw now the newest version (thx to me again, lol) is 1104c I'll update it later, about to go out now.

mcheddadi

Are you REALLY getting a boost from this thing? Are you're RPM's going up to 7100?

yeah, honest man! but i've got mods on the car that could help the tunner give more power. oh on CVT the rev limiter feature doesn't work btw, thats what I understood from Rob. i've put the premium tune with 94 octane in the car and I've got my grippy tires with my HLSD so traction is to the max, also I've got y-pipe and intake. it's not like a vague improved feel. its a DEFINITIVE feel of MORE PULL and in a more LINEARE way. like normally i'd get on the accelerator and then arround 3.5 it would start to pull a lot harder and then it would at 4K pull its hardest. but now its from the begining, (1krpm) the pull just builds faster and stronger and longer.

ok I just did a test with the car outside lol. I did stock tune 0-60 it gave 7.1 sec. then I did premium tune 0-60 and it gave 7.0 sec. i'm tempted to say it give one more sec than real life lol.

btw just realised that the rev limiter delete doesn't work, so i'll have to give them a call. btw did anyone manage to start the economy wizard like in the manual. on my unit the option isn't there. so I can't put my units in metric because you need to do it in the wizard (which is missing...)

so as of now the rev limit stays at stock 6500ish the premium tune seems to shift the torque curve more than increase the top end. so you get more sooner but not more overall . can't way for sure without a dyno run.

if someone call them you can mention this and ask if those option are going to be enabled with an update or just never going to happen.

^^That's high numbers for 3.5 mcheddadi, I mean I'm 2.5 CVT and I got 7.6 I'm sure you can get much lower than that :P maybe you don't shift very good :P?

Do the tests again and don't pick speed sense pick the another one it's better.

Edit:

Yes I can't set units in metric too and I don't see economy wizard!

That actually might be about right if he has his rims on. The lowest I got with my rims on was a 6.9(but going down hill )

I didn't see the economy wizard as well but didn't buy the unit to help with gas mileage hahaha. Only thing I've seen so far is the economy fuel estimate.

OK..I want this but I'm talking to some bozo chick who has never heard of a group buy Right now the advertised price for the BD GT is $399 with a 5% discount which brings it down to $379. However, since I know some of you got it for a lesser price, I'm not settling for less than $307!

Mhedi or whom ever, Who originally organized this and who was the contact at truck add ons. Obvioucly, I will need to go over the head of this person who has no clue what's going on

Also..Can anyone confirm that this product works and feels a butt dyno difference on a 3.5 cvt

Jeez, having larger wheels decreases your 0-60 by nearly a full second?

And if you can really "feel" the difference then I'd imagine you'd gain more than a tenth of a second.

Ok maybe its just the +2 timing advance but it does feel a little quicker. (Could just be in my head) but I'm going to call tomorrow and ask why isn't the rev-limiter feature working.

Is ANYONE seeing the rev-limiter function work for them?

I thought my stock rev limit was 6100, then i read it was 6200.

I refuse to raise the rev limit because i would be hitting it every time.

But the lowest i could set it to is 6350, and i hit that mark.

give em a call and tell them that that the tune isn't doing much. ask them if the tune is working for your engine code or if its just been added to the tuner to give you access to it.

Maybe the Rev limit does work with CVT after all, But bully dog didn't setup the tuner correctly? If guys going to call them mention to them that both CVT and Manual users have that same issue. Maybe there are a hope for CVT users! :D

So basically the tuners is only working for the 2.5 and NOT the 3.5 right...

Doesn't sound like anyone with the 3.5 CVT is raving that it works...at least for now..

Unless I've missed something, it's the 3.5 CVT's that HAVE NOT had any issues. I'm one of those guys, and it installed just fine for me, and back when I was following this thread more closely, other 3.5 CVT guys were not having any issues with it. I don't know if that has changed, but it's still working great for me!

So what was the baseline for the 3.5 CVT and what is now different? Also what engine code are you running on the BD GT?
