the transmission is from an 89 or 89 single cam, and I've never used it, but I was told that it worked, but the car that it came out of was running on 3 cylinders. The engine was nearly out of the car when I got it, so i never tested it.

It's located in my garage, which is down here in GA.

hey greg, any chance you'd want to sell your old 240? You can keep your cf hood, fancy steering wheel, and your seats. All of which I have spares of. lmk. send me an email I guess if you're interested.

fair enough Greg. If you change your mind let me know. Also, what's the deal with that Accord you have just out of curiosity??

Just so you all know, with the cost of daycare for 2 kids (total of $210 per week) and diapers and formula (another $100 or so per week) I'm working my *** off like a dog and still financially taking on water. So I'm trying to get a little side business going where I buy cars cheap, my buddy Wes and I fix them and sell them for a profit. I've done pretty good with the 2 240s I did myself a while back, but now I'm just looking at common daily drivers and quick sells where I can sell a car in the $2000 and under category. Like Accords and Civics. So if any of you see some good deals laying around that don't need a whole lot of work, just let me know.

Also, if you try to sell a car and I give you a lowball offer, don't get offended and tell me to **** off, it's just business, and I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut. All you gotta do is say no if its too low.

Also, if anyone is looking for a dd, I'm about to have a 94 Saab 900S 5 speed, 5 door hatch for sale very soon (as soon as I can get a stripped oil fill plug out of the transmission, hopefully). We just put a transmission and a clutch in it, I drove it before we started work on it and it drove pretty good til the transmission took a dump on the test drive. The engine runs nice and should be a reliable car. I'll probably ask like $1995 or so.

Hey everyone, I've got good news! I just ordered my drive shaft today, it should be getting here around this time next week. Yea I got a used one, but PopPop has a good reputation on Nico so I'm cool w/ it. I just couldn't spring for a new one; just about everyone I called was talking $350 or more.

ahh the deal well its a 86 Accord LXi hatchback, white exterior with what I'm guessing is factory blue and white vinyls, blue interior, 5 Speed, 300k+ miles, CV axles are going bad, has a oil leak, power steering leak, vac leak, ac needs to be converted so it can be recharged. The body is in pretty good shape, no dents at all but could use a repaint because the paint is dull looking. the hatch struts need to be replaced. I bought the car for $800 bucks 2 years ago and I really don't know what I could get for it and if I fix the problems I know I wont get out of it what I put into it. I had the radiator replaced when I got it and I had to replace the clutch shortly after i got it. I installed a aftermarket steering wheel in it as well as shift knob and pedal covers. I drive it to work and back and thats pretty much it and I would be lucky to have put 5k miles on it in the 2 years that ive had it. Im hoping to get at least $650 for it, so i dont honestly think it would be a good buy for you to buy/fix and try to make a profit from.

yeah 300k, no AC, and leaks galore would be a hard sell no matter what the price. Kind of figured that. Good luck selling it though. I may do another 240 if I can get a hold of a certain one before it gets sold.

my sisters husband wants to buy it once he gets his license back.

well guys it might be at least a month before i get that pignose hatch because the guy that owns the little car lot that its at said that he just got it in and hasnt had time yet to check it out to see whats all wrong with it if anything besides needing a new clutch. he has some cars in line to get checked out before the 240 and he said it could be a month before he gets to it but when he does get to it he will let his stepson know so he can tell my dad to get the info to me. so even though i have to wait at least it will get checked out for problems so i will know what im getting into.

oh man. Sounds like you're getting stiffed. Isn't it only like $400 bucks? Just tell him you'll take it now, and see what he says. It's worth it no matter what's wrong with it.

I agree w/ James, go down there and wave some cash to see if he's willing to let it go as is. If he's only asking $400, you could buy and turn around to part it out and make a profit. Just tell him you want it and you'll take care of the issues
