haha, yea to be honest its an n/a, with a blown motor, its awaiting me to rebuild my 70 montecarlo ss motor to do a hybrid. has 178k it, but its pearl white paint looks like the day it rolled off the line, and absolutely stunning to look at. terrible thing is we're moving to a house, now i'll have my 240, this, and my friends wreck sr swapped 240 im picking clean, its gonna have to go. so it and the motor will be up here soon for as much as i got it for, 400 bucks, and 250 for the motor.

i'll never work on a twin again if its to do with the motor, turbo elbows while still on the car, SIKE...

So what Crash you are selling your 300zx or one of the 240s? If it is the 300, email me (its in the profile) and give me the heads up on it. I need a new daily driver that is also why I was thinking about the 300.

I have about a month to have a new daily. I have a court date on the 28th of October and if I don't have the new car by then I can't have the guy that I am going to sue pay for it. Long story, but it ends up with me being robbed at gun point on the side of the interstate. Interstate 40 in North Carolina if you guys know where that is. So this car is basically not really going to cost me anything, but my parents are going to have to front the money at first and if I can get something a little cheaper it would be better for me. So that is the entire story of why I am moving to so many different things, and why I have been the way I am since I came here. I am moving back to what I was before, but it is moving kind of slowly. We will see what happens, but I don't want to get rid of my 240. I can't wait to have my knuckles bleeding and sweat rolling of my face, just to see what I have accomplished. I hope to get a 300 also, but only if things work out and I hope they do.

Anyway Crash just get back to me on it. If it happens to work out I will be really grateful. I am not trying to pressure you I am just giving everybody a little background of why I am the way I am. I used to be a lot different, but **** like that changes you. Anyway I am done, oh one more thing don't tell anybody else on the board about this I just wanted the people that I hope to meet soon to know. Anyway CYA guys.

As much as I love 240's, I would love to have a z32-tt. Granted they're a PITA @ times from a maintenance stand point, but the potential for them is awesome. It's all about your goals and ambitions. Z's are collector's items in some instances; especially the ones that are in good shape and well maintained. You can always p/u a 240 for next to nothing, especially if you're mostly interested in doing a project car w/ an engine swap. It would be good to have a decent car that runs well for your DD, and then have your 240 to work on in your spare time. Just my $.02

I called the guy today to set up an appointment and he told me that the posting on autotrader is an old one. He sold the car about 3 weeks ago. I would have really loved to get that car. Sucks, but I am still looking since this has to be my DD.

blown motor, but luckily j-spec tt motors are on the cheap side. swap in and bam, a little plain compared to what im wanting to do, but hell for 400 bucks im sure you'd have more than enough to start it off, let me get into our new house and what not, i'll find the title and get some stuff around..its just chillen in one of the apartment complex's garage, i haven't been in it for over a month man hahaha

and what a ***** man, i didn't think my car was drivable, my ex's dad shows up, gives me a toothed wrench and in 3 tries i crack my mangled oil filter right off the block..fram sucks, k&n melts your face off!bleh..so now i went ahead and told my work that im not gonna need friday-sunday off for nopi as i was meeting 3 or 4 people in columbia..****...dumb luck huh?

waldo's car is mine tomorrow, we'll start parting it off in a weeks time

That is a pretty good deal. I will call that number today, but I am not one for Eclipses never really liked them. Thanks for helping me I hope to buy one in the next few weeks, so I have enough time to report it to the DA. I also found a '92 240 with a Red Top SR for $4500 which I am going to go test drive on Sat. I also called two of the N/A Z32s' that were in autotrader too. The ones I called did not answer the phone, but I left my number hopefully they will get back to me before Saturday. Also I am looking at this car:

zerothread?id=278197

He is about 100 miles away from me, but if he says it can make it I will probably go test drive that too. We will see what happens he hasn't gotten back with me yet on that. I am also going to the people with the Z32's again today and see if they pick up, because a TT engine is not that much to buy .

Will do if I can get my hands on the SR 240, or the or one I listed I will just do what I wanted to do with that and keep it my daily and I will go Frankenstein on the 300zx if you decide to want to give it up. LoL. I have time though so when ever you are ready I am just saving up so I can drop a ton of money into it and with about 16,000 not including the motor on just the motor I hope to break the 450 hp mark.

hell its a 4-barrel 383..it was making damn near 400hp before it stopped running..fuel injection, rebuild..oh for sure!

but my friend eric is pestering me about it since i said i wanted to get rid of it, i actually bought it out from under him. he has a junkyard, so its nothing for him to find say, a junker camaro at auction. but it wouldn't be as fun

Yeah thats fine. I was just looking at your post before and I started to get confused because you said:

"hell its a 4-barrel 383..it was making damn near 400hp before it stopped running..fuel injection, rebuild..oh for sure!"

Just got me a little lost.

the v8, its got a 4-barrel carb on it..im saying if you put a fuel injection kit, say high-born, and just freshen up the seals and what not it'll make 400 hp like you want..heads and straight pipes will definitely get you there

Well I got a ticket today. 3 feet from the entrance to my work. No Seat Belt, its a whole lot of bull**** to me. Although it is only a $25 ticket with no points, but still bull ****. I basically got pulled over because I drive a car that LOOKS fast. All the more reason to get a new car, it seems like everything is pushing me to doing this. Uhh stupid cops.

Has anybody else got pulled over for only not having your seltbelt on?

Sorry to hear about your run in with Roscoe; it's good that you only got a slap on the hand instead the cop being a jerk about it. Ever since I totaled my civic, I now always wear my seatbelt...I'm convinced that I'm here today to talk about it because I had mine on. IMO it's the first thing that a person should do when they get in the car, even before you start it. It's a good habit to form and it could save you a lot. If you're still looking for a z32, check this out: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...t=174I would get it myself, but unfortunately I have to consult with my other half first and she declined my proposition.

Gregg, we will have to get together indeed at some point. My driveshaft is the biggest thing holding me down right now. I also need to get new plugs and wires since I'm currently running on 3 cylinders. My windows still don't go down, albeit the weather is starting to cool down and I won't need to worry about it so much--I've got gr8 heat. I'm pretty tied down usually with school and family so my spare time is kinda limited and I just work on my car when I can. I'm still looking for some supplemental income so that I can get things rolling a bit faster w/ regard to getting the car up to par. I've given some serious consideration to KA-t for the meanwhile until my other project comes together. I'm getting a kade and I figured that I can run stock internals and low boost to keep me happy for the time being.

Thanks, I just called them and they told me that is was sold last saturday. I got him to find some other Z32s in the area though so I should get a call back soon. In the meanwhile I have to make some more phone calls later today about some other ones.

well mike at least you didnt get it as bad as my friend/coworker did, we went out to the home show preview night which had free drinks, then we went to 5 points and drank some more, he dropped me off at my house and then on his way home he got pulled over because he didnt have on his seatbelt and after he was pulled over the cop realized he had been drinking and he got the $25 seatbelt ticket and a DUI. so basicly he lost his license because he wasnt wearing a seatbelt.

bryton i'll check tomorow at the junk yard for a driveshaft for you, hopefuly they will have some 240's out there and that they wont want to much for one.

I called them earlier this week and he said they had a '91 up there, of course that doesn't do me any good for my quagmire. You may find some useful items though. Ok everyone I'm going to bed so I can leave Columbia @ a decent time tomorrow. I haven't been to Nopi since 2K so I'm excited for sure. IF anyone wants to meet up, hit me on my mobile 803-446-3453
