im definetly going to get it. i have to find a way to make some money even though i would love to keep it for my own....

on another note, i think i just lost my license. first i got a 6 pt 516 dollar ticket a while back. paid that and idk how many points i have on my license now. but a few weeks ago i got a 180 dollar idk how many point ticket for doing 83 in a 60 on I-85, then last night i got a bull**** seatbelt ticket for 25 dollars and tonight another 516 dollar 6 point ticket. i honestly dont see how things could get any worse. im in jeopardy of losing my license and having to sell my car. and im DAYS away from having it turbo. its so ****ed up i cant even explain it. when it rains it pours i guess, they always seem to want to destroy me after i lose my job. idk what to do really guys.....

Is a SR worth it? I have a chance to push back my VG project till December and SR another 240 I have, but I can't decide if it is worth it. What do you guys think?

Jordan I think your only option is to go to court and beg for mercy. No need to sell your car. Just start drifting it at drift meets. you'll get some use out of it that way.

And for God's sake slow down! And wear your seatbelt. ten over is plenty for daily driving and it won't get you a ticket most of the time. Save the crazy driving for the mountains.

i mean i know i need to slow down, but its not like i drive obnoxiously fast around town. whenever i get a ticket its usually in some bull**** place where they decide that it looks like a 35 mph zone. where i got my last ticket my friend could have literally walked to his door. the only posted sign on that road was exactly where the cop pulled me at. i even told him that i had never even noticed a sign on that road and he said "theres three". theres only one from the begining of the road till the entrance of his apartment complex. i know its all excuses and it doesnt mean a damn but you know.

i had an awesome drive today. went by myself to spend some quality time with my baby and to clear my head. went up 276 to ceasars head, up the parkway and down 151 a few times. its an awesome drive to just cruise or to thrash 276 and 151.

scs13 I'm sorry to hear about your mishaps....PLEASE SLOOOW DOWN:tut! I believe you only get 12 points on your license so technically you're in the negative if you've gotten all of those within the past 12 months. jk about being in the negative, but you are in jeopardy of suspension/revocation. I've been down that road before and I've probably paid SC enough to buy an RB front clip between the court fees, dmv fees, and traffic tickets. My license was suspended for 3 YEARS and now I'm required to have sr22 insurance for the next 12 months. Fortunately I've got an older car and the rates are really low, but I'm sure you can imagine what it could be w/ a newer one. Like James said, you can usually get away with +10mph(mostly on freeway), but after that you're setting yourself up for drama. I would suggest never faster than the speed limit in residential, construction, and school areas..cops seem to be less forgiving and will often give the maximum fine speeding in these places. Imo you should hold off on your next mod and invest in a quality radar detector-at least you'll have a better chance of slowing before the cop gets you(unless he uses instant on then you're kinda screwed). I know it's tempting to push the limits when your car has some a$$ to it, but you have to use moderation and be aware of your surroundings.SCC did an article about ways to beat a ticket. They say the best way is to delay the process as much as the law will allow. Request a trial by mail. You don't have to appear in person and if you are found @ fault there's no penalty involved, ie. it only will cost you the price of the stamp. Furthermore you can still request a jury trial afterwards. The more time that passes between the incident and the trial date, the more likely the cop may forget details surrounding the event. Basically, do a little research and educate yourself about the law and how you can use it legally against the state. GL Oh yeah, those are some really gr8 pics!

Wuz up everyone, just checking in I've been off the scene for a bit but I've been keeping tabs on the posts through my email so I'm not totally in the dark. Welcome newcomers and congrats on the new acquisition Guido! My 240 is still resting waiting on a driveshaft, I also need new plugs and wires cause I've been running on 3 cylinders for a minute. I don't know if y'all remember Chris or not, but he offered me his motor(dohc) and is willing to put it in for me over a weekend. This is a little more feasible for me than the offer that Topless240 offered me a while back. I'm thinking of ka-t to hold me over while I work on my rb project. I figured that 10psi may be safe on stock internals but that may be pushing it. I don't really want to go through a lot of hoops, but since I'll have the opportunity to do some minor mods while the motor is out of the car, then I may as well. I'll scour the classifieds and junk yards for some parts and that way I can invest in some quality fuel management and engine management components. I'm trying to stay under $1250 total so I guess we'll see how it goes.

yeah, i have to make a VERY concious effort to watch the speed limit. its kinda ****ed up though because a while back a cop actually threatened me with this kinda ****. he accused me of smashing somebodys mailbox or some **** in my neighborhood and said that if i dont watch out they are gonna make my life hell or some **** like that. makes sense because no cop has cut me a break with a warning or anything since that happened.

what happened to topless240's motor? does he still have it or what?

Well, there were some technicalities on my end and I lost my transport truck @ the last minute and therefore had no way to get it off his truck to take to my house. I believe he may still have it and it's attached to the auto transmission, but you may want to contact him personally for updates.

Hey John the project is coming along GR8, I like the name Sil40 vert That's an awesome paint job on the motor, very meticulous...all the way down to the oil filler cap! Imo the Uras would look better than the Bee-r's. They kinda remind me of the LM GT-4's(Uras). Keep us posted on your endeavors.

Damn Guido, too bad that didn't happen when you went to test drive the car. Like you said, at least you'll be able to get what you want now.

i love my friends, the only thing though is that he has to take his into the dealership for an oil consumption test on his 05', guessing they haven't yet fixed that problem with the motor so who knows, but he threw some GReddy high rev/variable timing adapted oil..its the blue one..and a nismo intake, and header, and a tanabe exhaust on it, it'll spin in 2nd still. Very comfortable riding along on tein springs, it'll tuck the rear a little. i like the interior fabric, i want that kind of stuff for the center of my seats when i get my upholstery redone in black.

only thing is that the rear end as i was surprised for such a new car, is still a live axle. still doesn't effect ride quality though.

over all a super fun fwd thats a 4door. wouldn't mind having one for a daily.
