Lol, I forgot a "," in between infiniti and maxima.

I won't be able to make it down tomorrow, I've got to work all day, but I am going to get up on saturday and try to get there before the gate opens.

Good news, the kouki is road worthy, and it drives great. The motor pulls hard and the stering and suspention is tight, but enough about how it drives, here are the long awaited pics:

Before pics found here:zerothread?id=171734

This is how the car sits now:

don't mind the bird poo or the sticker on the bumper, they will be take care of shortly

still looking for a replacement wheel(or a 5 lug swap and some 350z/g35 wheels), but the steel wheel will do for now

Thats all for now since the batteries in my camera are dead, but I'll clean it up and get some more.

That's awesome man that the car is driveable now. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding some wheels to go on there, however the 5 lug conversion may take a minute to put together, albeit there will be less work involved than if you had S13.

Its driveable, but its not legal to drive yet, but all I have to do is get a title and transfer the tag from my s13 to it.

Well guys. I've decided to part out the red hatchback to help pay for some stuff that i want done to the black one. I plan on doing a 5speed swap, new paint possibly, New KA, Suspension mods, and a 5 lug swap with Z brakes and Z32 Wheels. Then performance will come.

It stinks that both cars have an auto transmission. It would be great to have the best of both worlds right in your front yard and be able to mix and match parts. Best of luck getting everything on your shopping list.

scs13- you need to give me a call real soon if you plan on coming down tommorrow morning. I'm planning on getting to the track between 10 and 11, so just let me know something. Honestly, I'd be more able to help you load it if you came on an evening next week.

beatupsx- so you gonna bring the s14? like I said, just put a dealer tag on it. hope to see you there tommorrow.

I'm actualy gonna drive the truck down, the s14 needs an alignment really bad, and I don't have anyway of getting a dealers tag between now and tomorrow morning.

Sooo... skipping over most, since there's like 67 pages here, but it seems like you guys are all pretty close? Maybe? Just a vibe I'm getting.

I'm new to the whole car-thing, but I just became the proud owner of an S13, then shortly after, an RB-powered S13. (Yay!) But I'll be coming to Charleston here between August-December (Military Reassignment).

So what's the whole car-scene like there? Better than Kansas? Do you guys meet up near Charleston at all? I'd like to be filled in

scs13- you sure you have the right #? I didn't get any missed calls or anything...

anyway, formulad was awesome! Tanner Foust knocked off Sam Hubininette to take the trophy in a close battle and Dai Yoshihara took 3rd over Rhys Millen. My wife and I met up with BeatupSX and Redemption1978 on saturday. We walked right by Hulk Hogan just strolling around with his family like a normal guy, it was pretty cool. You should have seen this guy who stole Taka Aono's bumper and tried to hide it under his chair in broad daylight with eveyone in the whole place laughing including j-rod (the announcer guy), it was hilarious! He was obviously drunk. I'll post more details over the week as I think of them and I'm sure one of the others will chime in too.

Nopi is usually in september, but there will be more local drift events, I'm gonna try to find out when they are and post them.

Dang, it sounds like I really missed a lot too. I forgot all about HIN. It would have been nice to have something to do on Saturday instead of sit around the house all day and be bored. I'm not a Hogan fan, but I have respect for him and it still would have been nice to see a legend. If anyone took pics of either event, please post a few for us losers that didn't get to go . Hey scs13 are you in g-ville too? If I had known that you needed a riding budy, I gladly would have gone. I was trying to work something out w/ Beatupsx, but he had to drive his truck and I'm sure that gas was already a PITA for him just to drive to ATL from Anderson. I should have my 240 by the time NOPI rolls around, so maybe I'll be able to make it to that. Our meet should also be before then right, or have we not set a date yet?

Welcome to NICO annie4rb20. You're pretty right about the vibe in here. Most everyone has met on some occassion or another with the exception of myself. I just joined this forum about a month ago or so. I'm guessing that your rb-power s13 is rb20 based or your SN right? Not too sure about the car scene in Chucktown, but I've heard from some other NICO members that it's not too bad. What branch of service are you in?

For all that made it out to events this weekend, I'm glad to hear that y'all had fun. For the rest of us, better luck next time I suppose.

yeah, i should have made the plans further in advance. i should have seen who else wanted to go too. i tried the number that you sent me in the email james and it just rang and rang and rang. oh well, i was gonna be crazy expensive for me to go to that and then go back up there next week and get the motor so i just decided not to go. did you take any pictures or anything?

Beatupsx got a pic of Hogan it was pretty cool! I was at my brothers graduation for the first part of the event so I missed it but I wish I would have been there. Does that count?

Of course it doesn't. But it made my mom happy and with it being mothers day weekend and all I think it was the right thing to do.

Yup! I'm so excited about the car since it really is my first neat car. So I've been trying to take the highway all the time whenever I go since I like to see the faces of mustang owners when I smoke them.

I'm in the Navy. Right now I'm a reservist, but I'm switching to active duty as a Nuke Electronics Tech, but am waiting for security clearance since I'm an immigrant...

I heard Charleston was a lame place to be. But I really want to start learning more about cars and RBs so I'd like to go to some events. Glad to know it's not dumb like Kansas and probably has better car-related things to go to. You know, something non-Nascar related

I don't know. Nascar is pretty nifty if you go to the race have a pitpass and its all company paid for..... A huge cooler of beer is a must too. Then comes the racing and well thats kinda boring but by then I was too drunk to care.

/me fondly remembers his one and only Nascar experience.

*EditOh yea I got to meet Tony Stewart whoever that is. But the people I was with seemed to think it was a big deal so I played along.

Haha... I worked for Racergirl and Chase as a vendor the one and only time that I've ever been to Nascar. It was really funny because it seemed like at 8AM everyone was pretty tired. But by noon they were drunk and wanting credit cards to buy more beer and t-shirts because someone spilled some beer... or something. It was great. But your experience with it sounds a lot more fun than mine!

I don't think I could work at any race but I know I wouldn't want to work at a nascar event. I had fun but I'm not a convert!
