I'll try to get up the few pics I have in the next couple of days, I don't have and action shots because my camera has such a huge delay between pushing the button and taking the pic, it just wasn't worth trying.

Seeing Hogan was freaking awesom, I saw him out of the corner of my eye, and thought that it couldn't be him, but after I looked again and confirmed it was him I scrambled for the cammera so I could get a pic before he walked away.

actually, it was Braselton, GA.

scs13- send me an email with the number in it so we'll know if I sent you the right number and I'll email you back with the right one if its not.

annie- welcome to nico! I think this room's pretty close. we're all different ages and different places in life but we still can relate on a lot of levels. one of which being Nissans of course.

If any of you has spare time, I'm shopping around for a good deal on a swap, if you see a good deal let me know. ... I did see an RB26 for only $3000 which made me think about it, but I'd still be spending over 5 grand to get it going so I don't know... The SR just sounds more economical at this point, but I'm still open to options

a guy I know at work actually took some cardboard and a paint stirrer and made one of those signs that says "Id hit it" and was flashing it at chicks out on the road one day.

I can remember reading an article that I have that Super Street did about Hogan and his son's supras. Hogan's supra is more of a show car and Nick's is more hp-focused. Both are sweet though in their respective lights.

staticx- what's the word on your container? Did you get any RB clips?

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell I want yall. I want my car to be an excellent corner carving machine and I don't want to make extra cost or work for myself which makes the SR sound good, but I'd love the novelty of the straight six and I wonder how much more powerful it would be. I need to really spend some time shopping around, maybe we should take a poll between all of us:

should I go RB or SR?

I'm going to keep in the Nissan family. I believe in keeping brands separate, at least as far as Nissans go. Although I did see a nice FC RX7/LS1 hybrid at formulad last weekend. It fit like it was made for it. Also for years I've been pondering putting a fully built to the hilt thousand horsepower monster in a Geo Metro, Yugo, or Ford Festiva, complete with tubbed rear wheels and everything. Or maybe you could pull off the sleeper look somehow... Anyway nice suggestion.

sleeper FTW!!! i should turbo my dads hardbody truck, that would be utlra sleeper, its such a ****box.

james - would this weekend be a good time for me to come there? i am trying to figure out when i can do this. also, what is the deal with the transmission?

and i totally agree with you on the whole keeping it in the family thing. although sometimes its cool to see something different. i am a purist for the most part when it comes to 240s for sure though. have you seen the thread about the 718 hp ka-t?

Well, I'm biased because I want RB, but I'll try to be partial.

Pros for SR: Factory fit with minimal wiring changes, high power output potential, might be more fuel effiecient than 6 cyl. , lightweight motorset.

Pros for RB: More displacement, stout transmission and bottom end, HUGE power potential, looks good in the engine bay

Each has it's pitfalls too, but perhaps the SR may be less labor intensive in all aspects. RB's require a lot of custom parts just to get the car going so the initial cost of entry is a little more, but the reward imo outweighs the sacrafice.

scs13- saturday's fine, just have to be some time late in the afternoon cause I work in the morning. I shouldn't be too late getting home, maybe I can narrow down the time a little better when I talk to my boss tommorrow and I'll let you know.

like i said in a previous post, you can have the auto transmission because a) I don't have time to remove it, and b) you can sell it and get your hundred bucks back and hopefully get your car running for free. I think that's a good compromise since I have no way of guaranteeing the motor.

You have the right phone number. I have voice mail, so if I don't pick up leave me a message and I will call you right back. I will email you directions to my house tommorrow, and I'll tell you what time I'll be home. It will be in the afternoon sometime but hopefully I can be more specific. I have an engine hoist, but make sure to bring chain to lift the motor into your truck with. Not sure if I have any or where it might be.

your welcome I hope this helps. Looks like tommorrow I don't really know how long I'll be working so we better figure on me being home around 5 o'clock. I gotta help get dinner ready but I'll email you directions after dinner. its real easy and takes about an hour and a half from simpsonville.

That looks like a heck of a deal, even though it is about a 11 hr drive for you, and george (powerline) is a good guy to deal with.
