clubsx- trust me. I've parted out a 240 before. you can make good money. just the small stuff will make a butt load.
Yea. What i was going to do was keep the car for a project and get it as light as i can and maybe use it as a weekend/meet car. I would sell the stuff to make it as light as possible until i make my $200 back. i.e- Rear seat, hatch carpet, speakers, etc. I'd still have to get a quarter window but i could get that at a local junkyard. Then i'd have 2 cars and still have the money i invested.

I'll give you $250 for it. I've been searching for the last month for a 91+ that has a good body (don't care about the motor or transmission). The only thing that I have found is an auto 93 hatch with 70k and it needs the whole interior put back in, and a head light fixed, but the owner won't take any thing less than $3000

Are you kidding me? 3,000? thats highway robbery. For 3,000 i could a cheap shell (the one im getting) and do a SR swap. There was/is a Vert i think in columbia for sale. Around 2,000 for it i believe.

beatupsx- thats a good looking truck

I think I'm ready to lay down the credit card and do the SR swap. After all the trouble that I had with my transmission, its no better. Plus, the new clutch I put in is weak as hell. I could probably get it running with an SR in less time than I spent with that dam transmission.

So I guess I'll have a couple of KA's to sell once that's done. What do you think I could get for them? One is in good running condition except for the transmission gremlin and has about 120,000 miles and the other is incomplete because of the wiring harness fire but still has a good block, head, manifold, etc, just not many of the parts on the passenger side of the motor are still any good and it has 100k on it (perfect for someone with a blown motor to make one good one out of it). Plus I have an auto trans I could sell too. Just wondering what its worth.

Ok, for starters, everyone that's under 21 and/or still living with parents I just have a little advice for you; take your time! I wish that I still lived @ home with my mom sometimes so that I wouldn't have to spend so much $$ on bills and just living. Instead though, I have a wife and 1.5 kids to take care of. I'm not complaining by any means, but just that life doesn't get any easier as you get older.
maxima278 wrote:so what do we have in here now? 1 350Z 1 Q451 Maxima4 240's or so depending on who's talking1 ten speed schwinn (sorry gr8bryt, had to bust on you a little bit! plus a mixture of ford deathstars, escapes, econoline workvans and stuff

what else we got out there?

Well, unfortunately I don't even have the bike anymore, someone stole it off my front porch. lolMy wife drives a Ford Focus sedan, and although I don't care for it personally, I'm happy that it gets our family around until I can get my own.Gas is getting ridiculous, it's $2.73 where I am for 89 octane. I'm really gonna hate it when I have to use plus or premium for the turbo. Gas will probably be like $3.50 for regular by then . I can remember those days when premium was $1.06, but I guess those days are looooooong gone now. I would be shocked to see it go back down to $1.73 and stay like that for a decent duration. Oh well, I guess I'll need to get another job to support my driving habits.

I hope you guys get your cars situated. Maxima278, with 2 ka's and a transmission, you might be able to get close to $1000 depending on where and to whom you try selling. You might not have the best of luck trying to get NICO members to buy the ka since everyone is swapping, but scs13 sounds anxious to get his hands on one.ClubSX, best of luck getting your hands on that other car. I still might wanna take those black wheels off that other car since you've decided that you don't want them. What size are they, they look like 17's from the pics.

That picture makes it look better than it really does, there are dents, dings, scratches, and the clear coat is peeling off the hood and roof that you can't see, but I still love the truck.

I wonder if you would be better off with my stripped down motor. You could probably put all your wiring and stuff on it since the block and head and all that would be the same. As long as everything on the outside of your motor is still good, I think this would be good for you. I don't know if my 95 motor would just hook right up electrically, besides, I will probably put that one up for sale once I do my swap. Also, I will sell the other one cheap enough you can afford it. If you want it, bring someone with you who has mechanical knowledge that way you know its a good motor inside. I have never ran it.

I think if you put both motors on the ground and start pulling parts off one and putting them on the other you can get it done in a day and then put it back in the next day.

It came out of my S14. The reason it needs parts is because of the electrical fire. It has 100k on it, and you'll basically need to replace everything on the right side of the motor including all wiring, plus the fan and a pulley that I robbed from it. The drivers side of the motor looks good. I'll take $150 for it.

The 95s were obd I, but It doesn't matter as long as you swap everything off the of your motor onto the newer one you will be good to go.

Its from a 96 so it was obd2, but like I said you should be replacing the stuff that made it obd2, wiring, fuel lines, etc. I did not fix it because I bought a parts car with a good motor with a 5 speed transmission and everything intact, and I did not have to do anything other than install it. The fire was bad enough to destroy the electrical wiring, and anything flammable, but not bad enough to hurt an iron block, or the head or the valve cover, just mostly plastic pieces, and the fuel lines are coated with rust.
