yeah I could do that. It might take a while since i have to borrow my dads digicam and then go back to his house to download them. You still won't know everything about it till you come down and look at it though. Does what I said sound like a good price for it to you?

He's a cute kid, looks mischeivous. My wife is a teacher and she has a lot of experience in daycare and with being a full time baby sitter, so at least SHE has some experience. I'm learning more all the time though.

staticx- what about SR20 clips? I'm looking to get something soon.

ClubSX- you should hold onto her, she's way too good looking for you! j/k

I'll post some more pics some time, I just can't find the ones I wanted to post right now.

I know my car may not be running now if it weren't for NICO. I got all kinds of info, plus I bought my parts car from the classifieds and resold the rest of it on there too. NISTECH (one of the online mechanics) worked hard to help me solve a lot of problems with getting my car running, not to mention getting my AC working. He probably hates me now for being a pain, but I owe him a lot.

Thanks Wise guy.lol. Yea im definately lucky. Although i spend about 80% of my money to make her happy etc. And im that romantic guy that'll go out of my way to do crap and make her smile....anyway back to cars....haha

Eddie, i got a few questions. Im thining either the RB20 or the SR20 Red Top front clip. The RB i'd like to know what comes with the motorset. Im guessing just the motor w/ fan and the transmission. NO PIPING. And im sure the front clip means with the piping, intercooler, motor, transmission, all the engine bay stuff and the front body parts. Would the body parts be in good enough condition to sell afterwards and make money for maybe a upgrade in intercooler, clutch, etc? Wonder if any of that made sense.

Hey ClubSX she is cute, you two make a nice couple! I'm glad that you brought up the question about the differences in clip and motor set because I was gonna ask them too. I'm curious about what the other $700 gets me. I remember the article that SCC did for the RB swap and it seems that it would be beneficial to have to whole clip for those misc. parts that I might need if I do the swap myself. They did the swap into an S14 though so maybe the clip wouldn't necessarily be needed. It's been a while since I read it so my details are sketchy @ best. The article is online so maybe I'll check it out and post up later.

a price for a s13 redtop clip is $2,099

clips come with everything in the engine bay back to the dash board..except body panels and lights..i can get you the body panels at a discount if you buy the clip..the condition is comming from a running car in japan..it all depends on the condition because of they get bumped around during transport....

well the clips that i get come out of running cars in japan that i buy at an auction...motorsets usually come out of crashed cars...also with a front clip it has all the parts that you need to do the swap mounts ect. you also get the rhd conversion..any more questions feel free to ask,but for right now im goin golfing =)

Well that was informative. I went and found that article, ClubSX you might be interested too since you are considering the RB20. It looks like I definitely might need the whole clip since I'll be working w/ the s13 chassis.Crossmembers and motor mounts will most likely come in handy, plus it would probably be a PITA to find those individually if I just go with the motorset.

There are companys that make mounts for the rb motors that let you keep the stock crossmember.

two that come to mind: Top Hat performance http://www.tophatperformance.comMcKinney motor sportsMckinney motorsports http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com/

(I have all the info to do an rb swap but I don't have the money to do it)

staticx, I'm seriously interested in a SR20 clip, but I have some questions, first of all, how much for a blacktop clip? Also, can you offer any type of guarantee? Are you set up to accept credit cards?

staticx- did you happen to show up at a drift event at Turner Field pulling a clip with an F150? If so, we may have already met.

I can do a s13 blacktop clip for $2,300..if you pick up in raleigh..each motor comes with a compression test and i can start it up for you..as far as warranty goes, 30day on engine block, ecu & transmission..no warranty on accessories, sensors, turbo or labor...Any engine or parts that are found to have been overheated or show any signs of damage due to improper or unqualified installation procedures,or with the use of an upgraded turbo will not be covered in this warranty.

o btw nope that wasnt me

ok, how many miles are on the clips at those prices? How clean are they? Do you deal in other parts like say.. an S15 steering wheel or kouki tail lights? Does your business have a name?

Like I said, I am serious, I just do not want to go into this blindly. I don't have the money to be making mistakes, so I have one chance to get it right.

Also, I seriously need to do some research on the differences between redtop and blacktop and how to do the wiring, hooking up AC, etc etc.

thanks for answering all my pesky questions.

Thanks for answering that for me. I'm sure that everyone else on this board will find that informative too. I'll be in touch with you soon. I've got some details to work out (the issues I mentioned before plus borrowing a truck/trailer for a trip to raleigh).

Yea i think when we each ask those questions we are asking for all of us pretty much. Seeing how we are all intrested. I wouldnt mind a S15 steering wheel either.

It should be easy for me to pick it up also seeing how i have hockey in Wake Forest usually.
