Too bad you werent in Charlotte or so, i'd be hanging out there every weekend. And to do the conversion, how much would they charge? and how much would they charge to do the RHD conversion also at the same time? Those are some last questions i have for right now.

Im sure. Possibly my uncle could help me with that. or atleast the engine. He has a shop over in town and he has a welding/machine shop and a crane so im sure he could help a bit. Seems to know alot. Prolly could help me make some Manifolds too.lol. I always thought about that when i was working for him.

Anyways...girls are damn confusing. Well, yesterday was 5months and i find out she wants a little break so i guess thats whats happening. IT sucks because my car is at her house and well im bored at home.

That's too bad man, sorry to hear that. Don't take it too hard though, everything will work itself out; what's for you is only for you and if you don't get it, then it wasn't meant to be.

I wanna learn welding too! Welding is such an invaluable skill to have. Maybe next summer I'll take that up in my spare time.

Yea i did it all the time and shoot im pretty damn good for a youngster. Only reason he let me go was because he didnt have much work and i'd be wasting my time. Hopefully i'll be going back soon or over the summer.

so that's the $200 car? Not bad. I can't see much from the pics but I think if anything is good on the car then its worth the $200. sorry to hear about your girlfriend. I'm sure there are plenty more out there though.

I really am going to get a sr clip, I just got to figure out how to get it home and find out when staticx gets his next shipment

I've got a truck and I'm pretty sure I could borrow a trailer form a friend, let me know when you want to do it and I'll help you out.

That would be awfully neighborly of you to do that; if worst comes to worst and you can't get the trailer, you guys could always rent one from U-Haul or something like that. $20 isn't too bad imo for a trailor if you had to go that route. I don't think the trailers have odometers on them so you probably could get away with taking it out of town w/o a charge if necessary.

It does look pretty good for $200 What else is wrong with it besides the dilapidated interior and those minor exterior flaws, is it driveable? I'd say go for it, for $200 you get what you pay for, and if you're just looking for another project car then you already want to spend the least amount of money as an initial investement anyway

That is definitely nice of you. There's a good chance I will take you up on that if you are willing. Probably on a saturday. I know I could borrow a truck, but not necessarily a reliable one, but I don't know about a trailer or even a hitch.

well, you know my shoe string budget, the rb is already a thousand dollars more initially, plus the cost of mounts, drive shaft, etc. to get it running whereas all I need with an SR is the harness done. Plus the aftermarket support for the SR is way better and cheaper from what I've seen. Anyone thinks I'm wrong let me know

wow i missed a bit, and yea things arent going to good with the girlfriend. not sure if she wants to stay with me. She went on vacation with family (parents stayed home, i did also) and well she came back and started acting weird and wanted break. Says all this crap and idk man. i feel like pure **** right now. one of the worst feelings in the world and although im 17 i hate it when people say your too young. In my opinion it doesnt matter. I've know older people that im smarter then so would age matter? no. I know tons of hockey players in the North that are younger that could kick my @ss all over the place.Does age matter? no. I really dont know what to do. This crap makes me think about her even more and is definately not helping. Doubt you guys want to hear this but seems everything is falling apart and it helps to get it out. Im so different from any other guy and it blows because i have to act like this and tell you guys all this stuff. Sorry for you guys to read this. Lucky to be able to talk to you guys about stuff though.

Anyways. Not sure if im going to sell the other car either. Might just sell some interior or engine parts from the car above to get my money back and then start over. or i might sell the black hatch and buy a low milage KA. who knows.

Too young? For what? well, in my opinion, age does matter, but not in the way you think. It changes your perspective on things, but it does not mean that the way you feel about things is wrong. Anybody who loses someone they love is going to feel like ****, it doesn't matter how old they are, it may not be as bad as losing a wife or something but it feels that way. I think and feel differently than I did when I was 17, 21, 23, and 25 but that doesn't mean the things I thought about were less important to me at the time than things are to me now. You are who you are, you can't help that and anyone who looks down on you for being young has forgotten what it's like to be young and therefore they are too old. If that made any sense.

Look at it this way, everything is not falling apart. You have your car project to work on and you have hockey, and you're at an age and a place where you can meet other girls whether they be the girlfriend type or, you know, the fun, one time thing type . Just act like you don't care what this girl does, and it will either make her think about what she's doing or she'll move on. Either way, try to enjoy your freedom while you have it. Just don't sit around the house thinking too much, get out do stuff.

Yea thanks man. Thats the way i see it too. Im sure when i get older (21 i say or so) i'll learn alot more about life, etc. I think i'll try and ignore her or wait for her to talk to me first.

Im hoping to get in touch with the guy tomorrow or something and hopefully have the car over here and get my other one from gf's house so i can put all the parts i need on the black hatch onto there from the other. (wheels, struts, whatever else)

If you deside to sell that car let me know.

Don't worry about the girlfriend, just look on the bright side you can now waste all your spair time and money your car.

In other news:

I went and took a look at a few coupes today (3 to be exact) the guy wants $1500 for all three. One has a silvia conversion and is beat to hell don't know the year(forgot to look), one is a 91 with no title or key and has had a cheap paint job and the interior has been riced also have no idea if it runs, the last one is a 90 and it seems to be alright other than a crinkled pass front fender and some surface rust in the spair tire well. All 3 are auto and I figure I could turn around and sell the 90 and 91 for $1000 (as long as I can get a clean title for the 91) each and just part out the other one as it has a good drivetrain.

What do you guys think? None of them are what I'm looking for but i could probably at least double the $1500.

yeah I think you could make good off those. I think coupes are fairly rare these days so they should sell easy. What kind of shape is the silvia conversion in? Is it reusable and are the lights ok? That's good money right there. (or make your car into a sil-80) Too bad they're all autos...

What exactly is what you are looking for?

I just found out my father in law has a trailer I can use, so maybe we're in business.

Yea how i saw those and wanted to see them. I was thinking about buying one or something maybe to do the same as what im doing with the $200 hatch.

Well as things couldnt get any worse. My gf just blocked me on myspace, took of her pics of us, and changed her profile. So now i have almost no hope and im just going to move on and see what happens. I know there will be no other that treat her like i did so im not too worried about her not coming back.

Definately have time to "tinker" with the cars =)

yeah you'd better get over there and get your car.... That's cold. You should go out with her best friend or something. j/k! Nah, just move on, if you're meant to be together then you moving on now shouldn't change anything. Think about who you would have wanted to go out with but you couldn't cause you hada girlfriend. Well, now you don't , so go for it. I know that's not the best advice , but it's probably what I'd be thinking if I was in your shoes. Good luck with all of it.

The only thing good on the silvia conversion is the head lights and the corner light on the drivers side, the rest is junk. It also has the silvia deck lid and spoiler.

I'm looking for a shell that need just an engine and or transmission, with a body and an interior that doesn't need much more than a good wash and wax. I've found 2 that were exactly as I described, but the sellers screwed me, I told both I was gonna be there on a saturday and they said they would hold it for me only to that saturday, both times I got an email friday night: sorry man sold it.

WELCOME TO NICO! Great to have you, hope you find that NICO can be like a 2nd home to you. There's a lot of great people in here and not just in the regional forum. It's good to see someone else here in Columbia, and it sounds like you and I already have some other stuff in common; trying to buy a 240 and planning to go RB . Hope all goes well selling your Xterra, be sure to post it in the Classifieds Forum if you haven't already done so. If you get what your asking for the Xterra you should have enough to get the car, RB swap, and maybe some xtra parts too. A lot of people say that you should get the bearings replaced on those motors though. IMO you should get all the oem stuff (ie. water pump, timing chain, etc.) replaced upon initial acquisition of the motor and the go for performance enhancements afterwards.

Hey ClubSX, sorry to hear about your situation with your gf. Things will definitely get better for you, just keep your head up man. Don't consume yourself with thoughts of her, I'm sure that you will miss her and think of her occassionally, but like Maxima278 said, try to find things to keep your mind occupied. BTW, you definitely want to p/u your car from over there ASAP. I would hate to for things to get ugly between y'all should something happen to the car while it's over there.

$1500 for 3 cars is a steal whether they run or not. It's hard to get one car for that much these days. I agree that you could get more than your investment back if you decide to part them out (after you get what you want first). There are lots of peeps looking for stock ka parts over in the Classifieds Forum, I think you should go for it.

Yea im really not worried about the car right now. Ofcourse she lives with her parents too and i must say they LOVE me. Let me borrow there car, etc. They let me stay then night just about every night (those days awhile ago that i wasnt on for a few days at a time) and i'd stay in her bed ya know. So they are the most kicka$$ parents i know. They wouldnt let that happen. They already said they were going to talk to her awhile ago and not let somethign bad happen. Its cool though, i went and hung out with this girl thats in German class with me so it was all cool. Now im watching hockey. Sabres vs. Flyers to be exact.

I gotta call tomorrow about the car and hopefully they made there mind and are going to sell it. If not then thats a shock and i'll be pissed lol.
