He's in gainesville. His shop is called Miracles in Motion. He doesn't mind fixing things like that only as well as you have the money to pay for. He could make it disappear, or get it 'good enough' with a primer patch over where the dent was depending on what you can pay.gr8bryt wrote:
What part of GA is his shop in? I have to go to ATL to p/u but I probably won't have the xtra funds to get the body work done. I offered the guy $1300 for it although he's trying to get an xtra $50 outta me. There's some other slight damage to the front pass. fender; heres a link with more pics, a fellow NICO member is selling it.zerothread?id=161553 he says that the car runs well and the interior is in good shape. He just changed the oil and had a small leak in the exhaust repaired.
I've thought about overfenders, but I'd still want that spot fixed. Since the damage doesn't impact the way the car drives, I might just leave it that way until I get into putting my project together seeing how I'll be doing a body kit, paint, and other body mods. If I get a steal of a deal I might consider fixing it, but otherwise it isn't necessarily a priority to me.
welcome! do you have pics of your car? Sorry I live in GA so I don't have the lowdown on SC shops but I do know you can drive down to ATL and we have top hat performance which pretty much specializes in KA turbos and even sells a KA crate motor. don't know how far you're willing to drive...Drizzy wrote:Hi everyone,I'm new to the Upstate area. I was wondering if some of you could recommend any good shops in the area that are known for good performance work. I've called a few places and they've all turned me down once I told them I have a turboed KA under the hood. Any reputable tuner shops in the area that have a good history of wrenching on custom setups? Especially shops that have experience with Nissans.
Thanks for any information that you all can provide.
See you on the streets!
G vegas is greenville. And somebody should buy my car and sell me a rolling chassis.ClubSX wrote:G vegas? not sure where that is. .
ClubSX wrote:I am still buying those SE's and i got someone to give me the struts for $30 instead of $65 and i was wondering if i should keep my lowering springs or sell them. Max, you said your stock struts gave way soon after. Is this always the case? because if it is then im selling them. I really want to put them on but i dont have money for aftermarket struts, I'd like to use the money for something else.
My struts didn't have too much life left in them before I lowered them. My front does not bounce because of the weight of the engine, but when I took the struts off they would not even stay decompressed. they just fell all the way in. Lowering just finished them off. I've never heard anything about that you shouldn't lower Nissans. I mean anything over the 1.7 f and 1.4 rear that mine is lowered looks goofy imo and can't possibly handle bumps worth a crap, but mine does not handle badly now, especially with the new kyb rear struts. Once I get new front struts and strut bars, it should handle awesome. Of course it will handle differently. It will handle better, and it already does. ANd it does NOT look ricy.gr8bryt wrote:It wouldn't surprise me if the stockers can't stand up to the abuse of lowering. On most Nissans it's not recommended to over lower the car due to changes in the handling characteristics and such(ie. Sentra). You should probably just go ahead and sell them. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to find a rice boy that wouldn't mind buying them from you. You can buy better springs later, or even a cup kit.
Perfect you can just throw your tools in the back and swing by my house on the way up or on your way back either way........maxima278 wrote:next weekend is not good. I'm taking the family to gatlinburg for the weekend. I'm starting to remove the transmission today. Best I can figure it's either the throwout bearing or the flywheel. I think the transmission itself is ok I believe the problem to be clutch related somehow.
Just out of curiousity, what are you gonna do with the old black wheels?ClubSX wrote:zerothread?id=167245
It's voting time!Im getting my SE's on Tuesday and I need some help
Both...The seller is a NICO member and I just have to go down to ATL to pick it up. I consider that pretty local since it's just a little bit outside of driving to Charleston or Hilton Head. It's the same car that I posted a pic about the damage in the rear panel.ClubSX wrote:nice. what car did you pick? local one or on here?
Just to clear the air, I wasn't trying to imply that anyones car looks ricey when lowered. I was just saying that he probably wouldn't have a hard time selling his springs with all the rice boys that are out there. Some of those same rice boys, they would try to lower their nissans like the honda boys do, not realizing that nissans don't have as much suspension travel as the honda struts do. I agree that any mod to STOCK suspension will drastically improve the cars ride quality.maxima278 wrote:My struts didn't have too much life left in them before I lowered them.
