this is maxima278. I'm on brandon's computer. I only planned on the KA being temporary anyway when I put it in mine. I just wanted it to run. So I see where you're coming from

you missed me by about thirty minutes. Yeah a lot of people started leaving around three. Just wasnt much to do.

Im planning a lot more stuff for the next one in August. Sunliner is helping me out also. We are going to try to get more booths set up and a food next time. Instead of everyone walking to sonics or whatever.

Apparently I "cut" him off. He then followed me to sunliner tire. He jumped out yelling. "Next time you cut me off im going to run you right over" My comment to him was "go right ahead" He said, im going to "I have good insurance" (I highly doubt his insurance would cover him running over someone....on purpose) Me: I do toHim: im going to run you over next timeme: ok...then do it...He said it another 4 times with my answer being the same..Then he yelled about how I almost made him wreck...

I dont even remember cutting him off but I guess I did. I went inside and they told me the guy was an A** Hole that has a vette that comes in all the time complaining. I guess he is the Rich Village Idiot

A lot of people in SUV's are PITA's because they think they own the road. Maybe we wouldn't have to worry about pulling up to the gas station with empty pumps as much if so many people didn't have those hogs.

Sounds like the meet was not all that great which is too bad. Maybe next time it will be better, and hopefully I'll be able to go....in my 240 of course. BTW, did anyone take pics that they would be willing to post or paste a link?

Hey Club SX, you weren't sh**ing when you said that the tires needed to be replaced. Those are some pretty good shots of the rear and it looks like there's no tread left on the back drivers side tire. Hope you don't have to drive it that way often. lol

It was good for a first time. Kinda getting the feel for it. Will be better next time. The guy had only dynoed 3 cars total before we came. So he was still new at it also. It will probably be accurate next time also.

Yea the tires are completely gone. =/ im really surprised i made it home though. I havent heard anything from the guy selling me the SE wheels so who knows. I was also looking into getting some Pontiac or so Gold mesh wheels. What you guys think. In my opinion gold meshes would look really smooth on the car.

still, it looks like you got a really good deal on the car. It looks nicer than some hatches I saw at the meet. (not including their engines of course). I'd just put the cheapest wheels and tires I could on that thing and then do the 5 lug conversion when you get serious about spending money on wheels and tires. Or I think the FN01rc's by 5ziggen actually do ok with the 4 lugs....

Those dam hummers and escalades and every other kind of suv are everywhere here in GA. Makes it hard to find the 240 in a parking lot.

knightrider- didn't you dyno your car? what did you get and what do you have done to your car? btw- for the record I enjoyed the event. I met a lot of interesting people (a few characters too).

Yea the body is in amazing shape and there is absolutely no rust on it, the only bad part is the hood is gray and is rusting a bit. The seats arent in good condition either but i could always shampoo those i suppose.

s13 seats suck a$$. They are the worst seats ever. Just get you some s14 seats or something. Shouldn't cost much to get that hood repainted then your car's body will be perfect. You could go ahead and get your holes in the trunklid filled in and painted too if you wanted to. I saw so many hatches at the meet that had holes in their trunklids

Unless you can get a pair of S14 seats for less than $30, I would say spring for some seat covers to get yourself by for a minute. They can be as conservative or flamboyant as you like. Although you want to ride in comfort; if you're looking at a long term project like I am where you will be upgrading/replacing a major portion of the car, then you should wait. Be efficient and just replace the old with whatever new end product will be. As far as the S13 wheels are concerned, unless you're getting hosed, it shouldn't be such an excess since you need new tires too.

Although its your car and you will end up deciding what happens; IMO on the stock size mesh. I really think mesh should be reserved for larger diameter wheels, like 17+. You get to appreciate the spoke pattern better when the wheels are bigger (ie. BBS). Of course you might say that about all wheels, but with mesh wheels its just that much better imho.

Tell me about it, for a moment I was entertaing holding off on my 240 and buying a motorcycle for $600. My father in-law is gonna give me a '91 Plymoth Acclaim as soon as he gets it fixed up. I was thinking of selling it, but it's always good to have a back up car. I want a 5spd first, but I've run into a lot of decent offers on autos.

I dont think we should have the next meet at sunliner... like you said, there isnt much to do after a couple of hours. We need to hold it @ Project Auto Salon in Charlotte, or Myrtle Beach. If we do it at Myrtle beach we can hang out for the weekend and cruise the strip. There's also a lot of places and things to do at Myrtle Beach. AND for all you single guys, you might be able to pick you up some fine hunnies... haha jk... My vote is for Mrtyle Beach in July....
