that's exactly the red I had in mind. I think like the green too. You don't see any green cars any more. Hey I just tried to call you what are you up to?

I just don't think the green will age as well as the red. I mean five years down the road would I look at a green car and say what the hell was I thinking?

Me probably yes but Red is hard to go wrong with. Even if it was the color of your moms minivan :p

no im not hating it i actually like it. I wish my hatch would be candy apple red. I like the color i just didnt like that it was on a minivan lol. I somehow have to get the car from my gf's house to here because well the tires are gone (no thread left). My uncle wont answer the damn phone to ask for his trailer. Yea true, i'd get sick of the green as well. You can never go wrong with the stock colors or a variation of it.

I actually don't think it's too ricy at all. It had a nice list of suspension mods that I would love to have on mine. It's hard to imagine saving the engine completely for last, but I could see it working out that way for my project, since it is the biggest expense and undertaking. I mean that car needs nothing except for the motor to be swapped/built, and the interior dressed up, and a 5 speed conversion. I think the price is good too considering you'd probably pay like 4-5 grand for a nice S14, and then he's got (I'm guessing here) about $3500 in the front end and body kit, $1500 in paint, $3k in suspension mods, $300 tail lights, $1500 in wheels. That comes to about $15grand so thats' close to his claim of $17000. If I knew anyone with that kind of dough to spend I'd reccommend it.

I went to the mountains yesterday. I figured out I need more suspension mods and a lot more practice driving. With my struts gone the car was just bouncing and floating so it sent my confidence down quite a bit. Brandon, I don't think I even did as good as I did with you and Jody that time before. I tried to keep up with an EVO and 2 late model Civic Si hatchbacks and they left me in the dust for the most part.

I like NICO but there just isn't a huge 350z community so I am forced to spend a good bit of time on *other* boards.

amen to that.

if it werent for my car fvcking up again i would probobly be putting all my money into suspension. looks like i will have to just save up for a few months and ka-t or sr her. i really wanna buy a tophat rebuilt motor but idk if i could justify spending that much money on a ka.

I spend alot of time on my350z.com. There is just a huge community there of 350z owners but to be honest I like the NICO community better.

The thing that I don't like about a tophat motor is that its an already rebuilt motor. I'm sure they do a great job and its a top notch quality motor but how many times can you fix something before its just a big heavy paperweight.

So at any rate I went to a few bars last night with co-workers. They are pretty cool guys for not being car guys. But I finally ended up at Brews. I don't think I'll be going back there. The whole bar scene isn't my deal to begin with but I just didn't get a good vibe from the place. Maybe it was because it was karaoke night. There weren't a whole lot of good looking girls there either. Ahh well.

James I know you want to go sing on stage but I'm not taking you to anywhere that does karaoke thats it end of story. Sorry bud.

I'm not saying that they are bad motors or anything and truth be told you'd be in about the same boat with an SR. If it makes you feel any better here is a video to make you feel better about not living in California.

wow. that is ****ing riddiculous. since when is it illegal to do what you want to with your own personal property. none of that **** affects its safety or anything on the road. i dont understand how all of that is illegal. just because you modify your car to make it better, doesnt mean you use it for street racing. i would have to say that is one good reason why i like living in sc. we dont have any emissions bs to deal with or any of those hassles.

and on the subject of the ka or sr. its kind of a difficult decision to make. if i just go for a gamble again and get another motor for cheap and put it in, i run the risk of something happening. so i would rather buy a rebuilt motor and feel like i dont have to worrk about it blowing up in a month or a day like it has before. but it is hard for me to decide whether to spend more money on a rebuilt motor that will have about the same performance power wise as before. when i could be buying an sr with more power and relatively low miles for around the same price. and theres really no other option for me.

yea i must say the Z community is definately tiny. Most the cars for sale or parts for sale are 240's. I wanted a 300z real bad but then i decided not to because a)i wouldnt have the money for that type b)parts on nico for it are scare so i'd have to buy from the dealer and c) i just couldnt find one in the first place.

hello people's been quite some time now i thought i was going to be able to make the meet had my car about ready to go up there all i was going to do was put some new tires on it...... i spent the money to have the ecu reprogrammed and i put a chip it it had the vg30 turboed, changed everything so that it would handle the knew power went from 180 hp to around 240 hp.......... took the other day like a dumb *** and pulled up beside a stock rx8 and he took off like a bat out of hell and i had to do it i don''t know why but i took off and caught him and passed him and right as i let my foot off the gas it started shaking real bad and i lost a **** of power so i came home and found that cylinder 3 and 5 are not working as in everything else is working plugs, plug wires, coil, the only thing i have not checked it the distributor and the module before the distibutor but unlikely its either of them i think i busted a rocker, valve spring, or a lifter cause it makes a metal type noise that i can't hear where it is coming from but it still drives but feels like **** with all the vibration and it fells like i have 50 hp..........LOL But i hope you guys have fun at the meet friday srry i coudn't make it but maybe next time.......Later

yeah well no one else can afford z's. I think they are beautiful cars and one of the few cars that if I am outside I can hear them before I see them and know it's a 350z.

I think I may just have to bite the bullet and save up for an RB25. It's what I want and I may not be happy otherwise. Besides, I can have a lot of power without sacrificing a stock car's reliability.

what year maxima do you have? A boosted Maxima sure does sound tempting, especially when I already have one sitting around.... oh well, must resist... must boost 240 instead...

Well, hope to see you at the meet anyway.

s***, i wish my car had the fixed struts and tires and then i'd come down there with it. Although nothing is on it and its auto. Im just hoping to save up a little money once i can get a job and then add a RB20. I really dont want to swap in another engine but i would have to even if i was Ka-ting. I wouldnt want to run so low of boost on a 163k mile motor and then have it blow on me or something. And as much as i'd spend on buying a new KA and adding the turbo i could spend on an RB20 with already a turbo.

I've adopted the philosophy that if you know your not going to be happy with something then don't go through with it just to get something done. Better to keep sticking pennies in the piggy bank.

Speaking of which I have that bank of america keep the change program and just on my regular spending I get about 20~ dollars a month stuck in my savings account. The fact that they match it 5% per year up to 250 dollars max is pretty sweet. Better than my savings account was doing all on its own just sitting there.

Back to cars I'm taking mine in for the new transmission and rear axle squeak tuesday. Maybe I should act like I'm thinking about trading up to an 06 z but don't know for sure to see if they would give me one as a loaner.

mmmmmmmm free parts............................

First find out the price of these retail from the store. If they are used I'd take off 30% if they are new but never installed I'd take 10% off. Not including shipping.
