Hell I'll tell you what. You help me get my car done up with the body kit and maybe a two tone paint I'll give you the wheels.
Maybe not two tone. I'm crazy but not that crazy.

Some ideas I had included midnight blue metalic, or a wickid thick black lacquer, or a candy metallic red, a dark shade. or something. Classy, non-stock and memorable.

Oh well, I've probably found as good a price as i can get. I'll check ebay before I commit though.

idk about the window tinting, my car came with it i would think it wouldnt be expensive at all though.

i have sort of a dilema that maybe you guys could help me out with. i am trying to take off all the bs so i can get the oil pan off to check out the rod bearings. but the nut on the left side bracket on the sway bar is stripped to hell and i cant figure out a good way to get it off. its in a tricky spot, cant use a nut splitter on it cause there is no room, i cant get it off with vise grips, cant heat it up because i dont wanna set anything on fire or mess anything up. anybody have any suggestions? the only things i can think of are that i can take off the tension rod bracket and everything and maybe the bolt isnt attatched to the subrame but to that, or having to find a dremel or something and try to cut it off.

why does taking the oil pan off have to be such a PITA!

I paid like 125 to get mine done. The place I went to charged by the window and the biggest part of it was in the cost of labor. The materials only cost like 10 - 20 bucks I think.

I have to have mine removed first. I've been meaning to get a quote on what that will cost. 125 is not bad. I think Lams in gainesville charges more now. So Brandon what colors are you thinking of for the Z?

For tint, the price will vary from place to place. More doors=more $$ of course, but most places here in Columbia will do a 4-dr for right around $100. There may be a surcharge if you want darker than the legal limit tho.BTW, congrats on the shift boots!

I've seen a guy tint windows on my mom's car a while back, and he did it in our driveway. I don't think it's very difficult, you just have to make sure to get all the air bubbles out. He used a hairdryer and a squeegie type device to press it on evenly.

A guy I work with said he tinted his own side windows but payed someone to do the back. As much as tint costs it still seems like its better to pay the guy that does it for a living.

As far as Lams I still think they are probably one of the best tint shops in Gainesville. I'd try to remove it yourself first though and have them tint it.

Shoot man I don't know I haven't really given it any thought yet. I guess I want to wait and see what my body kit and once I get my wheels looks like before I start thinking about paint again. I will need to paint it at some point though. I didn't get a clear bra and so I have chips all over and its just getting worse because of the slow suv drivers that always seem to get in front of me. So I get frusterated and ride their *** in a vain attempt to get them to move faster.

It's not rocket science or anything, I did it on my accord back in high school, but the curved windows are a butt, and they're impossible without the tools the shops have. I guarantee it's worth the money to pay to have it done. You'll never get it perfect if you do it yourself.

I just called Lams and they want $220 to rip off my old tint and install new. That's $60 to remove it (which aint so bad) and $160 to retint the windows (which seems high). I'm probably going to call around to try to find a better price.

I guess staying red wouldn't be so bad, I just wanted to see what you had in mind and give you some different ideas. I know you probably won't be getting it done any time soon. Are you coming down this weekend?

Whoever did your window tint did a good job. Maybe I should call them up. If they are that much cheaper, maybe I can just schedule for them to do it while I'm up in SC one weekend.

I was thinking of black top and red bottom like some of those photoshops I sent you once upon a time. Rogers Stereo did my tint but I would have to pull out the receipt to find the exact price.

I leave the tv on alot just to have noise in the background but I don't really ever pay it any attention.

The VQ sounds soooo groovy going through the rpm band, especially on the Nismo Z.

I'm probably going to come down the weekend after the 18th.

I've looked around and can't find anything that is subtle enough but still different enough for paint. I guess its time to break out photoshop and see what I can come up with.
