yeah my brother put it on a cnc lathe, then duplicated the id and depth from one to the other, the splines are identical its just the opening behind the splines (pump shaft o.d. + .oo3-5" i think) where the pump shaft slides into the pulley!

ok so i worked my but off sunday afternoon and cleaned out the garage and managed to get the motor dropped in for a test fit! it's a tight fit but with a little massaging here and there she dropped right in! I just followed the instructions on the mazworx install kit. every thing came together really smooth, although i might have to trim the shifter hole a tad bit more. looks pretty good. here's some pics and some more pics of the wheels and rear bumper test fitted! currently in dallas at the nissan training center so wont have any updates till this coming weekend!

just an fyi and because i didn't read properly the z32 inner tierods ar alot stronger than stock but DO NOT work with stock outer tierods! so for future reference they only work with longer after market outers like the spl's so now i have a new set of oem outer tierods if someone needs them the spl's should be here in the next day or so!

Looks good! I've gotten rid of every line under the plenum and it's sooo much nicer to work on and still ran great.

yeah i think it will be alot easier also, just at a glance it looks like the only thing that i have to keep is the iacv hoses and the vacuum supply to the fpr's! an trust me this beast will go lower once i get it on the ground! ive been slacking lately, really busy with work, family and community svc! yes community service! damn speeding ticket from 2 yrs ago! it sucks but gotta keep the points off of my record!

Just as an FYI, you can bypass the IACV all together as well. These motors idle quite well without them.

Also, only the FPR goes to Vacuum, the damper actually goes to atmosphere (post MAF pre TB) according to the FSM. The FPR is on the same side of the engine as the TB, and there is a convenient vacuum port on the back of the manifold to connect it to. The damper is on the other side and I just leave it connected to nothing rather than plumbing it into the intake tube.

agreed on the iacv, idles fine without out it, i removed everything off of the intake manifold. Removing the plenum for me now takes 10 minutes.

Wonder what would happen if you removed the fuel pressure dampner all together.

Can injectors get damaged in any way from fluctuations or excessive fuel pressure?

All injectors? No, because I can think of plenty of cars that don't have dampers and their injectors last just fine.

These injectors? I would still say no, but I'm not an expert. Anyone know if Scoobys have dampers?

From what I understand, the damper's purpose is to smooth out the rail pressure that can sometimes be viewed as a sine wave due to the pumping action of the fuel pump.

definitely gonna do away with some of this stuff, but i think im gonna keep the iacv for now. with the crazy temps we get in the midwest it can reach over 100 degrees in the summer and below 0 in the winters so i want to have a little bit of driveability!
