q45 lsd might be a better option at this point, if you plan to drag race the car. It has a 3.6x gear as the j30 uses a 3.89, quite a difference.

depends what year q you are using the 90-96 cars used 3.52 final drives which is what i used in my project and the gearing was simply too low to be useful...1 and 2 would move but 3rd was dead.

Here's a couple videos from the other night. Its the 240 messing around with a Z28 camaro on the highway. LT1 with head work, intake, intake manifold, exhaust, a nasty sounding cam, and he was running 110 race fuel. Sorry for the poor quality, it was just taken on my iphone lol

Yeh that was an interesting night, about a dozen different pulls in all and all victorious. The camaro was .030 overbore lt1 ported heads, cam, big bore Holley tbody, engine built by a fairly credible local race shop, 3500 stall, race built trans, 305/30r18 nitto drag radials and 110 race fuel. I was sure he would beat me but was proved otherwise. One pull I stayed in fourth and just layed into it caught him, passed him and never shifted while he shifted 3 times! Lol pretty interesting. Can't wait to get to some road course events and dial in the suspension. Update he dyno'd 241 to the wheels not very impressive, but has since worked some bugs out of it and wants a rematch. Gonna have to take it to the track. Don't really care for the street racing. Adrenaline rush fun but not worth the trouble or risks!

vh sounds good, and like most/all gm cars that lt1 sounds like complete a**.
with that much displacement i'd expect better.
