Sorry guys, went snowboarding yesterday... had to take a break from life. But here are some updates from today!I dunno.. i'm thinking straight black again. Updates:HIGHFIV5 wrote:WE NEED UPDATES :PBut hey remember i said im gonna be starting a build thread soon and using yours as a expectation of quality.Well its started, check it out, subscibe!zerothread?id=478508
As a fellow PNW person, just wanted to say Mor Furniture has some of the most gawd awful and gaudy furniture I have ever seen. Granted, some of the stuff is pretty cool, my ex and I snagged a 8' long 150 lb solid oak table for $100, definitely is the kind of thing that will last forever.CA18Magic wrote:Okay, so I didnt get to do much today. I thought i was going to have the day to take the motor out. But instead my wife and I had to go furniture shopping lol. A little Ikea, Mor Furniture for less.. Bed Bath and Beyond.
Lol, Good questions! I havent summed everything up yet. A lot of the stuff ive purchased has been with parts that I have replace and dont need anymore. But i'll have a ball park figure towards the end hahabrandnew91 wrote:spectacular build im thuroghly impressed with ur attention to detail and definately gonna use this as a reference for my build. how much has it cost u so far???
Yea not until i crank lol. But so far i'm loving this build a lot better (process wise atleast). But i think that has to do with the knowledge base. I def. know a lot more than i did 2 swaps ago!lilrussian wrote:Man This is getting sicker and sicker every time I come here!

He sold and traded me his J30 diff because just like any vlsd, it doesnt give instant lock... so he needed an open diff to weld. But obviously he also needed to get home so we had to install itNoxy wrote:Huh. Never seen anyone put a open diff INTO a 240. This thread is full of surprises!
Hahaha, yea. But I dont think i'll be making it to the Golden Gardens meet. But the one on March 28th I think ill be done by then! And Bremerton drift school is around that time also!Sushibandito wrote:

Oh and freaking sweet car, if you are making it to Golden Gardens or the Issaquah meet at the end of the month (Feb 28th), I hope to see it in person. Lotta poorly done rides around here ie Extreme Dimensions Vader kits.
Dude, if its out... clean it now. I used engine clean, simple green then brake cleaner to dry it up for paint!!HIGHFIV5 wrote:Lil late in the thread...but im kinda at this point in my build atm...But im just curious how the hell you got your block so cleanand ready for paint?I want to paint my block but its pretty damn dirtty and gunked up.Was thinking bout just leavin it till a later time and pressure washing the livin s*** out of it while its in the car.
might look goos on a vertinitial_jc wrote:The fit looks good on the wheels, but the bling factor is not quite right for a 240.
Haha thx bro. Much appreciated.ZootedS13 wrote:you are pretty much an inspiration to all of us man, your build is so clean and even your brakes are ballin as f***. thank you for being legit as s***
Buncha degreaser and brake cleaner to dry it all up. Make sure there isnt any residue on anything because the paint will form around it. Leaving you with unpainted areas.phobs wrote:Subscribed. How'd you clean your calipers before painting them? I wanna restore my Q45 calipers.
