I thought that the larger tires in the rear looked kinda cool. Oh, and awesome score on the brakes!CA18Magic wrote:

Trying to figure out if the bracket weighs less than the GTR's. You selling them?CA18Magic wrote:And as for the stock motor mounts? Brackets and puck? total.. no more than 5 lbs.
You know what, i completely overlooked that. Im gonna get some heat shrink today. Redo my connections. Thx for the heads.Dattebayo wrote:SELL THE WHEELS
Electrical tape? Seriously? Have fun with a short after the first really hot day.
ive NEVER and i mean NEVER had ANY issues with QUALITY (scotch/3m super series or plymouth) e-tape on ANY wiring ive done, due to it being tape over heatshrink.Dattebayo wrote:SELL THE WHEELS

Yea, i never had issues with using electrical tape either. I thought thats why that called it "electrical" tape. But i guess it wouldnt hurt. But yeah, its funny how people tend to offer advice. Doucher stylemrgreeneyes wrote:

have YOU had issues?
good tape has high heat/cold resistance and will NOT cause issues.
sorry, its a pet peeve when people talk out of their asses
true, if anything, my experience has been that when the 3M stuff gets hot its adhesion increases. The hole piece seems to meld together into on sticky impossible to remove messmrgreeneyes wrote:

I don't use tape directly on a connection like he did. And yes, good 3M tape is preferred when you are making harnesses, but only when holding wires together, not for splicing.mrgreeneyes wrote:ive NEVER and i mean NEVER had ANY issues with QUALITY (scotch/3m super series or plymouth) e-tape on ANY wiring ive done, due to it being tape over heatshrink.

I do not speak from my as$, good sir, I speak from working in the Local 26th chapter for years and years. You may think that adhesion increases as it gets hotter, but it's actually slowly melting away from the point of contact. Give it a few times and it will short. But maybe you guys are just going for the mickey mouse haul anyway.mrgreeneyes wrote:sorry, its a pet peeve when people talk out of their asses
i never claimed adhesion increased under any condition. what harness is so close to such extreme heat that this will occur?Dattebayo wrote:
