Loving the build, the old 240z's are one of my favorite "muscle" car era cars. Yours looks very nice!

That car is bad a**! It looks amazing! Not so much a fan of all the blue.. i think the valve covers and timing cover would have been enough but i like it anyway! Props!

Good condition Datsun 240z's are becoming harder and harder to find in decent condition. Where did you find / locate yours?

I found it on the other side of my block, there's a Z shop there and one of the workers was selling it. Its a west coast car so I got lucky there. Has minimal rust in front of the rear wheels which is very common. I bought it because the floorboards and frame rails were in really nice condition and it was a running condition car. The guy had a L28 with dual SU carbs, electronic ignition, cam, headers and exhaust on it so it was good fun till I sold the motor to make room for the RB. I actually tracked it with the L series and it was a load of fun being able to bury the pedal without losing traction

thanks guys I appreciate it, got a little update but no pics till tomorrow.

New seats went in today and I tied up random loose ends. Put my new interior panels in and vacuumed. The interior looks so nice, feels like a new car again. Put the new dshaft in and engaged the clutch with the motor running for like 3 seconds(no rad still). Gotta say it felt like sex and money as one entity if that makes any sense lol. Tomorrow is the big day unless UPS screws me, got my fingers crossed.

I love your car, very clean. Bayside blue would look amazing on it.

On the intercooler, it seems to me like you would get better response by fliping it upside down and shortening the charge pipes.

Crappy MS Paint drawing of what I'm talking about:

Can't wait to see it finished!

You are right, that was my original plan but intercooler is a hair long and the bends end up being half an inch to long on each side and dont match up with the holes in the support. You can see how the pipes come in at the top and this gave me just enough room to go through the front support.

Gorgeous setup, looks great! What are you doing for a rear end?
