Buy the S30 and fix the rust first.

Get the RB.

THEN come back and discuss.

We don't spoon-feed anyone here. I think I speak for virus and everyone else who's built something awesome, there's no shortcuts. Read the threads, do your research, but don't expect someone to take time out of their day to tell you how to do it.

i am very interested in doing a RB25det swap with my 1972 240z but i have no engine experience at all how did you get the knowledge to tear down your engine and put it back together did you go to school or was your father a mechanic I am genuinely asking this so please no jabs at me.

Read the full service manual page by page. Do what it says. Done. Now no more spoon-feeding. Geez you guys aren't even trying to learn anything on your own! :wtf2:

Be fair, if everything you knew about cars you learned from Paul Walker, IE you have no mechanical base whatsoever, no amount of reading a manual will help. the only thing you can do it pull it apart and try and put it back together.

cleargrip: the only real knowledge comes from experience, and cars are nothing but big models. Try just taking things off you car, and put them back on, you'll gain experience
