..lol..it' cool, I figured you weren't trying to offend me on perpose, in the last 4 years I've spent around $43,000.....I gave my body man money down and then $1000 a month($8000 so far), he hasn't gave me a estimate but I think when it's all said and done, body and paint will prolly cost me around $15,000, don't know for sure. so you see, I don't have any money in the bank, I spend from pay check to pay check.(ok so I have alittle back up money!..lol)

you cant put a price on being able to say that this is YOUR car. bravo. not everyone has the balls to put that much into their passion. bravo indeed. and besides, you wont have the hassles of owning a skyline as you would this.

Everyone has there own thing and this is what he wants to do. And when he gets this thing fully pimped out watch him get a mag cover or in a mag, as some stock skyline wont. Then it will make his dream even more wothwhile knowing that a large mag company wanted to show off his ride. And that my friend is why know1 will ever remember anything about or car, because it is just like every1 elses

yes i know that its what you want. and im not trying to tell you differently. but i do work in a body shop, and my boss says that fiberglass widebody fenders tend to crack after a while. and for 50k, you can get alot more than a stock skyline.

You know, now that I think about it, If you're going through all of this trouble to build this car, and I'm making a similer project out of mine, then it may take me a little longer then I originally anticipated. Man I hope everything goes ok. I hope I don't run into any major speedbumps. I'm trying to study up on this car and everything that has to do with it (widebody kit, motor, etc.)as much as I can because like you it's been my dream to have a car that doesn't look like everyone else's, one of a kind, (or in this case two of a kind), but I might be getting over my head. I don't know how to start this thing.

Ive thought of the same thing why so much money into a 240 when you could have bought a skyline ... You see r32 all day long really cheap but the truth is NO SKYLINES OTHER THEN THE R33 ARE LEGAL. Go google the us's car importing laws ... Its a matter of time before you'll be caught up on a illegal r34 and r32 and when u are they impound them and crush them now that would be a waste of money .,....

Anywho HOW THE HELL ARE U GONNA BE ABLE TO JACK THE CAR UP?NOT FROM THE REAR WITH THE DIFFUSER MAYBE FROM THE FRONT WITH TAKIG OFF THE BUMPER BUT NOT THAT HIGH... LOL IT WOULD ROCK IF YOU USED A HYDROLIC SYSTEM LIKE F1 CARS... Anywho give me a call or come by we havent kicked it in a while.

I guess it all depends on who's doing your body work, we talked about it before we did the kit, there's things you can do to help prevent that, my body man is the shizznet!..lol...he's done cover cars before(Hotrod) he the best when it comes to fiberglass, like on my door flare, it came with a fiberglass one but he made me the same peice out of metal, so it wouldn't crack(metal to fiberglass<metal to meal)

here's the metal peiceso you see, we did talk about it and he came up with ideas, even for the rear quarter.

Dude, that is so sick. are you famillure with what your bodyman is doing or is he doing all the work, because when I go to work on mine, I'm gonna need some tips from ya. I didn't know that was even possible, to help prevent cracking on fiberglass, that's one of the reasons I was hesitant on getting the kit in the first place.

you know even if you had $100,000, you're bound to hit a few "speedbumps" along the way, if it's with the motor, body, interior.

what's funny is I've already came up with the hydrlic system, just don't know how much it's going to cost me if i do it, if not I'm going to get a low jack and those ramps(i think Takata makes them) and as far as towing, I'll prolly put a tow hook in the front.my phone has been broke for a month but I"m getting a new one from insurance. I'll call you sometime.(you know I like hanging out!) oh yeah, that one thing I told you about that thing, still no word....lol

well.......if I start a online company like I wanted to do, this will be my demo car, so I'll drive it a couple times a week(maybe more) but I won't drive it to run errends or to work or leave it out somewhere(not being watched) I bought a 95 Prizm for $500, runs good, I'm looking for another 240 though for a DD.

Making the company legit BEFORE building the car could land you massive tax returns though...will you be able to do that after?

I have a Tax ID number now and I do have a company doing all my taxes, I think I have 3 years, I can use the money I spend on the car as a write off.

Nice man. You know, this is going to be the first time that I buy a car that doesn't run, it's also the first time that I have to build that car from scratch. My last car was 03 GTI 1.8t. Now I did some work to it but I never had to build the motor or drop it in. I guess there's a first time for everything I'm a little nervice. You got any advice for me Sky? I wana make my own project and post it on here too.

for the most part, know what you are getting into, do a estimate on how much you think it's gonna cost, now ad $3000-$4000 to that, then figure in a budget on how much you have and are going to make, then make a timeline for when you think you'll have certain things done and most of all, stay true to what you want, not what other people want and go from there
