WHAT?! I thought these things costed around 1K?! Im def. going to look into getting a set of these...

btw...i dont see them advertised on TougeFactory's site.
You used to be able to get the full VIS carbon fiber doors for less then 1K shipped on EBay but I'm not sure if that's still the case.....

I love this car by the way, any updates?

I dont think Ive ever posted in this thread. I just skimmed thru the entire thing and I gotta say this car will be badass.

Thanks for doing it all the way. It would be a shame to half-*** such a project. I'm not a fan of the Jacq kit, but you pulled it off so well I cant help but dig.

Rock on! And buy your body guy a trip to Fiji!

Wow man....

For someone to eat ramen for 4 years "or steal food from Sonic" to build something they dreamed of is fantastic....

99.9% of the people out there either don't have the balls or will power to do what your doing.

You could put 37 wings on the car, vinyl graphics and forge Paul Walkers sig on the hood to tell people your 2f2f and I'd still give you props for having the heart to go through with something like this.

Project is looking real good man. I love these update posts, cant wait to see it finished. Idk if you plan on doing any racing events though, or else you might have to upgrade the roll cage to a custom one.

I just want to know, I've been thinking of getting that kit and I wondering how you got that jacquemond kit. did you do it by pay pal or what? I wanna know how reliable that place is.

as far as money goes, you can trust them but i can't vouge for their quality, lucky for me, I have a really really good body man. I ordered the kit from http://www.jacquemond.com/designbyjacquemond.htm, they are in France, I was taking a big chance when I ordered mine(being so far away), I did check out their work but no one I knew on the forums had it so.......but i did confirm they were a legit buisness. When my kit and rims came in, I picked them up from customs, it helps if you live by a International Airport, i had to drive 2 hours to get mine.

Well I e-mailed olivier and he wanted me to do a wire transfer. Now a red flag came up but then I saw your project so any way should I go through pay pal or should I trust them and save a couple bucks and do a wire transfer?

That car is looking really sick. I hope to get my car done by mid Jan. The only problem I keep running into is money, or lack of. Alot of it is going into the motor. I keep trying to find ways to save money so if you have any tips man then let me know. Other wise, good job on yours and keep up the good work.

even though you aren't doing the work yourself, it takes serious dedication to stick to project of this size.

hats off, cause i wouldn't have the patience for something this long.

hell i would've blown my top and just brought it home and started going at it, no patience.

the only thing I can tell you is, you have to make alot of sacrifices, untill you get the money saved, and having pics of your goal and looking at them ever other day helped me stay focused, this has been a 4 year project for me, I'm no rich guy, just kept saving.(still saving!..lol)

I used to be a waiter at Steak N Shake on the midnight shift, most of the cops came in for their lunch break, so I got to know most of them, they think it's cool, I even bought my 240 from a cop. getting to know them saved my butt back in my acura integra racing days! when they got calls about me racing they wouldn't even look for me, they just tell me later that night when they came in.

I have megan coilovers, I'm ordering the Powertrix rear settup(seems like the best deal out there) I'm also going to get their subframe spacers, I'm also getting sway bars, I don't know a whole lot about suspensions, what else can I do?(i know there's more, just not thinking at the moment)

Do you live at home? I move out at 17(25 now), no offence, I love both of your cars and you seem like a pretty cool person, it's just some of us don't have the funds other do, and if you're like some 30yrd and that house in all your pics is yours..then I'm sorry!.....lol......like i said, I'm not a rich guy, my parents don't have money, I've been saving every penny(after bills) for the last 4 years, I save, then I buy something, then the process starts all over again.so everything i buy, you can bet I spent two weeks trying to find a better deal, and since I've heard nothing but good things(then and now)about their coilovers, I thought $800 was a good deal. this isn't going to be a track car, so I think I'm fine.do I wish I had better JDM coilovers........................yes

Offending you was the last thing i meant to do...if i did, im sorry! I was just wondering thats all...Earlier in the topic you said your budget was around 50K, so i was surprised when i saw Megan Racing. Since it won't be tracked im sure that the Megans will get the job done fine...
