Keep in mind that a divided housing is much smaller than an undivided housing with the same A/R.

yeah but why would i get the same A/R? I would go bigger if twin scroll helps spool the larger turbo faster right?

Yea, basically.

As for the stock manifold being extrude honed, it SHOULD improve top end with no loss in bottom end. But, AFAIK, nobody has ever done it to a CA and done before and after comparisons.

Welp My Project is officially on hold. I lost my primary job yesterday so money is going to be tight until I find another one (hopefully soon) still waiting for the motor to get back from the shop but even so i still need a turbo. and with funds being low that's not going to happen for a minute

I have a stock CA T25 bolted to an SSAC manifold. It works, it's just setting on a shelf, and I'd let go of it for cheap.

well I have my eye on this t25g that a guy is selling on club s12 I asked how much he wanted for it but he hasn't responded. What do you consider cheap? and is this the whole set-up or just the turbo your talking about ? Got any pics?

Make me an offer! It's a paperweight to me right now. It's the turbo and the manifold (although if you have the stock manifold, I wouldn't bother with the SSAC manifold). No pics right now, but I can take some if you're actually interested.

This is subject has been heavily debated, kinda like the CA18-vs-SR20-vs-KA24. It's like beating the dead horse after it has been killed 3x over. Just search around for more recent threads/posts like this one: suggestion-for-butterfly-actuation-t573338.html

That's actually not a bad price for a valve job.

Poncams then? They already have the cam timing built into them, IIRC. That should be a nice little wake up for the top end and no loss in the bottom end.

Yeah the poncams and thats what im hoping for is a bit more topend. My buddy had a ca18det withe exhaust cam mod and the bottomend was beautiful but the topend was s*** I raced him in my single cam ca and he raped me off the line but I would reel him in up top

You should be happy with those. If I hadn't gotten the smoking deal I got on my HKS 264's, I would have gotten the PonCams as well.

cool I'm looking forward to seeing how this build feels compared to stock. I loved the feel of the ca in stock form and so did a lot of my friends, so I can only imagine what it will feel like with the cams and the bigger turbo...
