This car is going to get me in trouble with the bank for withdrawling large amounts of money quickly. LOL.
I'm still SOHC. Plan on staying that way for a while. When I blow this motor I'll probably go RB25 or something cool.

Keep up the good work dude, lemme know if you need anything.

I had an adjustable one on my t25 at 13psi this one is stock with a boost controller at 16psi, and I don't know how to setup the bov. That could be my problem. I might have f***ed a gt2871r. :/

sorry for the thread jack. ha

So todays update. I hired Tom for the day to help me out get some stuff freshened up and cleaned out. We started with the short throw. I know some advised against the rear, but I'm pleased to say there is little play in the vertical direction and even less when it's in gear. It's an amazing feel. My stock boots are kinda bad, so a junkyard trip should do me good. After completing that, we jumped straight into refreshing some fuel and my BOV vacuum line. The fuel filter hoses were too short, and the Z32 fuel filter didn't sit in the stock holder. Tom and I lengthened the hoses to drop it in its holder. He also noticed that the high pressure line next to the fuel rails was all bent up and all the fuel hoses were actually 1/4 inch versus 5/16. After finishing that, I decided I wanted to gut the rear. This was fun, we just pulled and yanked. Most of my panels are in pretty decent shape, any of you Lancaster guys are more then welcome to them, 5 bucks a panel seem fair??? Anyways, I just temporarily ducttaped the rust hole in the hatch. Tom removed the radio antenna. We keep finding weird things that people did to this poor car. The newest find was the power antenna motor was removed, so the whole stock had been out, and I think thats where the rust came from. The stalk for the antenna was missing, so it was a open hole, just letting water leak in, directly where the rust is. I am going to hand clean the rear hatch. We removed probably at least 40 to 50 lbs of panels, bolts, and mounts. So once we finished that, we started with the drivers side fender. Tom wanted to check out the wire harness for the headlights. We took off the fender, I cleaned it off, while Tom cut the loom and tape off the harness. He ziptied out of the way of the tire. We finished this in the dark. Just waiting to hear from Keegan on the harness and whenever he is ready to put that back in. I also got the gas cap on, easy mod I know. And here you go as usual, pics. LOL. I have plans to maybe pull the white strip under the tails are repaint it tomorrow. So here's da pics.

Oh and this pic...just made me LOL, reminds of me the newest Family Guy episode, with the clones, looks like clone stewie's face...lol.

Well there ya go...Updates to come tomorrow I hope.

They are S14 Rims....I'm going to keep em on until I get my 18" Stock Magnum R/T rims, with low pro tires on it. I just wish I had the stock center caps for the 2 fronts.

hey man, did you get that starting problem figured out yet? if youre not sure its the fuse, you can strip the covering off some wire and shove it down in the spot the fuse goes in and then try to start it, if it starts the fuse is the problem if it doesnt the fuse is not whats causing the car to not start. also i know for a fact you can get those fuses at advanced auto parts for a few bucks.

Crap man I knew I forgot that one.... I was actually thinking I forgot something, but yeah, I feel more confident about this project as each workday concludes. This car is gunna be sick. My fear with the wheels is that the 12mm studs are 2 mm too small, cause the magnum's stud sizes are 14mm wide. Hopefully as long as I get those open faced lugs, it will tighten down deep enough in the wheel to keep it tight, if not, Maybe a little bit of rubber hose around each stud could tighten them up a bit.

Starting issue is more then the fusible link, and my advanced auto, autozone, pepboys and walmart, dont have a 25 amp, only 30, and only stock the green one. All the other ones without the sliders on the sides are 30, 40, 20, and 50. No 25's. I'll pick one up out of a junkyard fusebox. I'm in no hurry to screw this thing up.

Josh If you do that would be great, saves me some time. I'm in no rush though, I still need to get the upper harness in, lower harness replaced, and then I'll be ready, so no rush, if you have it though let me know.

Let's just review why not to replace fuses with jumper wire:
jokedoom wrote:you can strip the covering off some wire and shove it down in the spot the fuse goes in and then try to start it, if it starts the fuse is the problem
If it starts, car works fine and wiring is generally unharmed.
jokedoom wrote:if it doesnt the fuse is not whats causing the car to not start.
If the problem wasn't fixed (like before when we found the POWER wire grounding out...) he'd have blown his whole harness because the jumper wire would have provided enough amperage to blow everything. I mean like starting a fire type bad and yeah. nightmares.

Very bad advice. Not trying to be a dique, just learning experience k?Wiring harness will be cleaned up completely before trying to start the car again lol.

word yeah i guess i didnt totally think that one through. hmm, who would have thought doing things the ghetto way could ever turn out bad? im sorry for suggesting you blow up your car lol. if youre looking for a good junk yard theres one down in spring grove called eichelbergers you pull it, i would suggest you check that one out, i got a good working fuel injector there for $5. may be kind of a long drive for you though.

Man two solid days of work on the 240. Today I was busy on the outside of the vehicle. I started the morning with removing that white trim peice under the tails, and wetsanding and respraying it black. Turned out 100x better then my hood, because the paint was that much better, which means sometime in the future, that hood is getting redone with this paint I bought. I also spent about 4 hours clay barring the drivers side door, rear quarter panel and trunklid and rear bumper. It had all kinds of, what almost looks like spray paint over spray on it, I really tried to get pictures of what I was talking about, but I doubt you will be able to tell due to photobucket auto shrinking of the pics. Either way, I got a tonnnn of it off. There is still some that is pretty much going to be there, but the car is half shiney now, so I was grinning ear to ear. The car's nick name really doesnt fit that well anymore, It's no longer an Oreo, but oh well. I tried rubbing compound to get all the oxidation off the trunk lid, I think it worked a bit, as it was my first time doing it so I was a little nervous. I claybarred after i did that, so I should lay down some of the polishing compound now, but my arm is tired from rubbing and sparying and I got clay all over my hands, so I decided to call it a day a little early today. So here are the pics, let me know if you can tell the difference from how it looked before from previous pics to today's picks.

There you go. Enjoy.

Looks 1000x better since you clay bared it!But that 1/4 panel dimple and dent bugs me..... Other than that great job man! Expecially painting the trim piece under the tails.
