Umm... I did a price quote last night, doing Nitto 555's in the front, 225/40/17 and Falken ziex ze912's in the rear, 235/40/18, 498 total shipped to my door. I am holding off until I get confirmation the wheels have arrived and are ready to ship and pay the remaining balance on the wheels. I ordered my turbo rebuild kit last night, so I'm one more step closer to being ready for drifting. Also picked up the open diff from Doug, so I'm prolly sending that off to blu808 or whoever on zilvia. I just gotta get a few more weeks outta the way before I buy stuff.

Well, some of the lancaster crew knows, but yesterday on the way to school, my dying up rad hose finally decided to end its life, and while I totally support it's decision, I wasn't too happy. Luckily I got to school and after driving through a puddle i noticed steam still coming out, so i popped the hood, and find a pinhole leak spraying the rad with coolant. So I drove it back home and let it sit. I come home from school later on to see this.

Not a problem, fixed that today, Keegan gave me a part number, went to my advance and for the first time, they had something i needed. Only one in stock. I measured wrong or something, but it was a little too big, but, I just got good hose clamps from my neighbor and cranked them bishes down, now I have no problems. No leaks, no spraying, but it still bulges out, not as bad as the old one. I also noticed on the inside of the old one, there was a cut or crack the whole length of the hose, and the pin hole leak was along that crack, so had it not had a small hole, it woulda exploded....thank god for the little hole.

So i also said i removed the rear tints, I didnt like em, I left em on just incase i would, it looked like a giant checkerboard when the light hit it right, so they are gone.

And here for your viewing pleasure, and Bumnah, I got the turbo rebuild kit in. Lots of metal and seals, looks pretty legit. So Keegan has a spare snail sitting around he also ordered a kit, we will be rebuilding them side by side so I can actually do something for once.

Dont know when we will get around to rebuilding the turbo but it should be relatively soon, and the car should be smokefree.

Oh man, new bearings thrust washers seals etccc aaaaah! I is happy for you. Your spool time will shorten even more after that kit.

How much of a bulge are you talking about because some bulging is fine, specially since your running higher psi cap.

Maybe you got hoses for a hyundai! hahah... I assume your system works fine so maybe the thermostat being closed before being warm makes the hose bulge.

Can't possibly be that, the hose wasnt big until it warmed up. Only bulged up after i ran it around the block to warm it up more...Possibly just because I shut it off and it couldnt pass through the block and recirculate. I think its because its a slightly bigger hose, and its not staying its normal size because it can push fluid around the extruded edges on the pipes that the hose clamps too.

Do you not have a parking brake or something? Why are there wheel chocks behind your car parked at home?

Correct, previous owner did not do the Z32 ebrake swap.

Nope, no ebrake, and I find it funny how you love to point out all the flaws of this car, lol. And I got it off a website called ecrater.com i think, Keegan sent me a link and said here, looks legit, and I said ok, cause I honestly didnt know what all too look for.

Why not fix them then? It's not like you don't have the resources available to you.

Sorry I'll post positive comments from now on. NICE WHEEL CHOCKS!

Bumnah it's 10* with windchill out. This is a project car. People with jobs and full time school don't have a lot of time to fix their project car asap. Trust me we/joel will get the ebrake done in due time. It's on the list, you saw the hydro that's going in back on page x I'm sure.

We all can't have garages and VA weather like you... yet

Just to clarify I'm not trying to be a jerk, just pointing thangs out.

It's against my rules to get upset at the internet. I forget things the second I log off.

Having a parking brake is kinda important. When I did my brakes, I had to drive around for a day or 2 without an ebrake. It's a necessity for a car that sees the street. I know the inconvenience first hand, hence my comment.

Plus, no whining. I installed a rear sway bar on my last car on Christmas eve starting at 11 at night. In my friends car port. This garage is only a recent luxury. Trust me, I've paid my dues to the car gods like everyone else. 10 years of street wrenching and taking over a someone elses garage right here.

Ok, to set the record straight, Bumnah, look back around oh page 3-4 of this thread, there is a hydro brake laying in my room awaiting to go on. Its too cold and I dont have enough time atm to install it. It is a locking brake so it will pass as an ebrake in PA. Sorry My car doesn't live up to your standards as street worthy, if you wanna help, come on up and bring a set of cables, z32 drum ebrake setup stuff....cause quite frankly, I dont wanna do through the hassle. Oh and the car has enough compression to park on a slight incline, in gear. The chock is there for a fail safe, Just like you'd c*** you wheels toward the curb when parking downhill, our cul de sac has about 2* grade, so I dont want it rolling into my sisters civic, I dont have the money to fix her car.

Ok, so I took the 240 to work tonight not knowing it was gunna snow. Only reason i took it was to have tom help me adjust the clutch after work, because, it was damn near impossible to get the car in first or reverse, and i know its not the short throw, because when the car was off, the car went into reverse and first with ease. So, took me about 20 mins to get to Tom's place in HBG, normally a 5 min trip, the tires immediately were spinning everywhere. So got it to Tom's, he comes out and adjusts it, pedal was almost on the floor before he adjusted it, he brought it out about an inch. I can slowly let the clutch out now, and it is smooth as silk going into 1st or reverse. So when I was thinking about leaving, and to show tom how crappy it was out, we were debating drifting or not, he shot a vid of me goofing off with the door open.

And before you all flip, that was no where near the redline, that was me blurping it so it sounded cool. Thanks Tom for the quick upload man, Love that sound. I know Keegan's gunna be mad with me for playing a little bit, but who can resist??? Anyways, Thanks again Tom for all the help, and getting home was much easier being able to crawl away from a redlight, versus it just dropping into gear immediately.

Grrr dude I really want to go and have fun though. Maybe if they plow these hill streets I'll let you know. I mean this weather is why I put the z wheels on hah!

Just to clarify to people you adjust the clutch pedal so you feel it start to hit the hydraulic actuation in about an inch of pedal travel, so the throwout bearing has room to come off the pressure plate (and so your hydraulic system isn't always under pressure, helping it live longer). I hate cars with clutches that actuate at the floor. ew. It feels like your stock damper box is in. Maybe I've just been working out too much.

All depends Chris, when you start the car, with the clutch pushed in and in gear, does it grind, or try to move forward, mine did. And how far does your clutch feel like it takes to get into hydraulic feeling, like there is resistance pushing against your foot, if it never loses that hydraulic feeling, chances are its too tight, or in too far, never allowing the clutch to fully separate and lose grip from the engine.
