Yeah, So I just got a few of the pics that got taken by the guy who came to pick up the drag radials Sunday morning. So here they are, and yes, one of them is gunna get monster truck jokes all day long....but I thought it looks similar to top gears style of filming, so I have to post it. Oh and I just recieved my stop sign and no entering drive way street signs, so I will have a skid pan soon.

There ya go, and MGE, eat your heart out.

I like those pics, but the first one looks like he got his finger in the lens area more than a photo shop lol. Maggie looks really good even tho she rides high for proper winter daily status

Here's yo street signs. Idk which one i'd suggest haha. As long as we make sure it doesn't protrude below or directly under the front subframe too far so you can still have a nice mid jack point we're golden.

Magnum: Please do not call that a track car. I don't daily drive my 240sx either, but I call it a toy car. There's a lot that needs to happen before I say it's a track car. Lastly it sees the track more than 3 times a year.

MGE: I knew you were waiting for me to say "it's more aerodynamic". Well I won't give you the pleasure. I doubt there is any noticeable disadvantage to having the lights up vs down. My beef is with having to sacrifice something that could have been saved with a little effort. I mean you're engineering the piece from scratch, you can't engineer it to keep OEM functionality? What is this amateur night?

in track testings of the fc they found a difference of 1 mph less for top speed with the lights up. not something you'll notice at all.

lol @ aerodynamic. this isnt "paper racer" night... i agree on no dis/advantages to up/down positions.

if you could have the kit in your own hands, as i did, youd understand 100% why the motors couldnt stay. theres NO way to tuck the IC inlet/outlets ANY closer to the rad sides, nor push them out further. if they kept the same position (they have to) the end tanks would have to have sections notched out of them, giving a s***ty airflow for sure. id rather have a smooth-boosting car than one that keeps gimmicky popup light motors.

just buy the kit and put it on your car and report in ANY way you could make a successful midmount kit any better than PSM.

go in their thread. see if ONE person didnt like the kit...

oh wait... no negs. cus its awesome.

I'm guessing the core being used is a core that is easily acquired and the most cost effective. Selling products is the name of the game. Selling a slightly imperfect product to minimize production costs is what I would put my money on if I were to critique their design.

I believe full race offered (perhaps they still do) a "high mount" intercooler setup too. Thei'rs was bigger and didn't mount the same. It too required the removal of the headlights. I believe that was because of the piping being used was of larger diameter.

Bumsies? Really? Is this the line to get the beer or the line to get the tickets to get the beer?

From what I hear MAX uses a Greddy core with their own end tanks. Not necessarily cheap. XD

sweetheart, seriously, why such hate? over non moving headlights that had to stay up permanently anyways due to faulty wiring in his car anyway.

fullrace has/had(?) a "backdoor" kit. how does that relate to your end of the conversation other than that it is yet another kit that means no flippy floppy lights?

and i want beer. now.

but i dont understand your reference/quote?

"Hate" wouldn't be how I'd describe my review of the product. I'm just pointing out legitimate short comings of the setup. I mean this is a permanent modification to the car. To some people (such as myself) that may be an issue. You won't believe the personal debate I had with myself on gutting the rear of my Nissan.

Full race was referenced to give an example of other people making a similar product, and to show even theirs had issues as well. It was more to say "This is a bit of an intrusive way to install an intercooler."

As for the reference, to "is this the beer line" look up David Cross.

Ok Bummmmnah, I'm gunna admit, I see that yes, it is very inconvenient that I cannot put the headlights down, and that zipties have to keep them from rocking around, and now my headlights are a little out of allignment, but I honestly dont mind it, because of the gains the product gives. This is one of the cheaper intercooler setups available, and perhaps thats why? I dont know, but I found it the best way for a drift car to have total boost response, and if you ran YOUR car on my previous setup, you would be giving this product 100 thumbs up if you had an extra 98 thumbs. Besides, how can you review a product if you havent test driven it or even seen it in person????

to everyone out there, since i have done the research, the are no backdoor ic setups made for 240sx with pop-ups without moving the radiator back...

if you want your pop-ups to continue to work and a hmic or a dual back door kit then custom fab your own sheit and stop complaining about the unnecessary

now lets drop the subject about the stupid pop-up lets and leave Joel's thread for his build

Saturday Update, I got tired of tints. I cant stand fearing I'm gunna get pulled over, and with 5% tint, its inevitable. So I asked MGE about a fast way to remove them. He said to spray ammonia on the tints, and push trashbags onto the wet tint and leave it there to dry and then pull it. Well, I failed, and pulled the trashbags too early, the pure ammonia smelled like cat piss, so I was irritated I wasted near 20 mins for nothing. So i grabbed in the corner on the rear window, and pulled. Amazingly, it came right off. Like a giant sticker.

So here is that giant sticker, looks like a rolled up trashbag.

So here is the rear window in all its fishbowling glory.

I still need to remove the sticky residue on the rear window, I started but stopped, just got tired of rubbing, cant use the razor blade on this window with the defroster lines.

So I went to the front windows and pulled at the top corner, again came off like a giant precut sticker. Perfectttt. Put paint thinner on a rag and wiped it all over the sticky goo and then took a razor blade and scrapped it all off...Makes perfect fake boogers for those who are into that sorta thing.

Now I did leave on the middle windows tint, I like them how they are, but I know how to remove them, but for now they stay, I think it looks sweet.

So here is the before....

and the after...

I'll get better pics soon. And I'll continue on laying my Poweredbymax.net sticker on it.

I'm not worried about it, I'm using whatever will get it done, my neighbor gave me a ton of stuff, so its all good. I got mega bored, still waiting for Tom and Cait to come over, they said they would be leaving lanc like 3 hours ago, still havent called or texted....Touring Harrisburg I guess.....Anyways, so I broke out the mag/aluminum polish and went to town on the engine bay. I dunno if you guys can tell or not, but I think it did wonders on the Valve cover and pipes and rad.
