Hahahaha, I think just because of you Joe, I'm making a sticker that says, "My car has a fan boi." and then another that says, "does yours?" right below it. So, here ya go Joe, this update is just for you.

So anyways, Keegan and I started off our night last night with some Fast and the Furious, so we could get our laughing and joking out of the way quick. So through many lines being recited it got me in the mood to bear the cold and get this done. So around noon today we ventured out into the garage. Keegan put the steering column bolts in so i could drive her into the garage. Got it in, and he imediately checked fuses. Meter fuse was good, and the other fuse was good as well. So we pulled the cluster out. He checked for power when the ignition was on, in one of the plugs. None. He checked for power on the fuseblock, there was, checked for continuity, none. So we knew there was an issue. So he decided instead of ripping the dash apart, he'd tap the wire for power into somewhere else. He wanted it to work with ignition on only. So he tapped into the steering column. He even put a fuse in, so that way i dont blow the cluster. Now, not only did he do that, he fixed my boost gauge lights, so they come on with the lights on only. Its alot better. Now the funny part. The guages and idiot lights all light up. Its great. I idle around 800rpm and my temp runs 1 tick below normal. Only problem, my fuel gauge still doesnt work. But thats the fuel sender unit. I'll replace that eventually. Now the only other problem, when i swapped light bulbs, i guess i didnt seat them all right, so i can only see up to 50mph in the dark....everything else is perfect. Oh and i gotta swap my odometer over. Other then that I'm pleased. Ok, heres the pic that they actually work. There you go guys (Joe). LOL... Just messing with ya Joe.

Oh and on a side note, Keegan, you left your advanced shirt here. LOL, and you forgot that damn dvd again. So I got a pile for the 16th, of stuff that belongs to you.

Oh and Guys, just to let you know, Keegan also proved to me that my atmospheric BOV is causing my stalling and backfiring...he threw his hand over the BOV and revved it up, no stall, took it off, revved it, almost stalls. We tightened it up a little bit.

lol i could have told you that. with no electronic correction and not being recirculated its gonna do that in most cases.

Well, I knew this too, already, I've known it since we started the car and it stalled, but I'm enlightening for anyone else considering a vented to atmosphere.

Great update...Glad to see you guys are figuring out whats wrong with it. your 40 has come such a long way lol.......I'm going to have to figure out exactly how long it would take me to drive up there, because one i want to see your car and two no one in my part of Maryland that is younger ( under like 40 ) has a 240 except for like two people . This one dude in a 89 piggy that's the same color as mine almost crashed into my dad. He looks like hes about 60 and i don't think he modifies his car....

Well Joe, Just get directions from your place to Harrisburg PA, and see how long it would take...I'm guessing minimum of 3 hours.

Baby update, one of my parts came in, this wasnt an important one, and I have mixed feelings... I ordered this shift knob through a company called Billet Technology on my other car forum. Well, they always have come through for me on custom orders before, I have the same type shift knob on my Magnum. Well, because I custom ordered my shift knob with the 10mm x 1.25 thread, what i got was a note that says they wont do an actual thread, and instead a slip fit and just give me a set screw. Well, i was ok....it fits on the ebay shifter fine, but the set screw doesnt do so well and going into 5th it will spin the knob. So I decided to check the stock shifter. The set screw is too high and the knob doesnt fit the whole way on. So I guess when i go back to stock shifter, i'll have to get an apec or do the same fix i just did for this one. To remedy the spinning, I put a thin, tight 1 pass around of electrical tape over the threads of the ebay shifter, and slammed the knob down and put in the set screw. Magically, it fits and doesnt spin. I'm happy with how it looks, exactly what I wanted, just not happy with the fitment. But I guess thats how things go when you try to be different. I'll keep playing with it. Lemme know what you think.

Dude it looks great and I'm glad everything worked out ok. Hope you're satisfied w/ the electrical tape fix that should do the job. Is it anodized black?

Eh, not an update, just a little pizazz for my thread. Took her out for a heated drive today. Now that I have gauges I can tell how warm it runs. Runs one tick below where a normal 240 should run. This thing is quick, and now that the BOV is tightened a little, it doesnt stall out as much. It's still annoying, but its a little better then it was. I took it out to my favorite place to take pics, Little Buffalo State Park. I take pics up here all the time, they have some fun roads near and all around it, so It always a great drive, about 45 min from my house. So did a few small touge runs, and god was it fun/scary, i'm not used to a car with no abs or traction control, omg, but its so much better without all that stuff. So here a the pics I took.

I especially loved this photo ^^^^ for the rays of light, these were all taken with my cell phone btw.

Ehhhh, you could, but honestly, you I dont think you should, it would kinda be like a copy cat of kouki's, but I'm sure its already been done. It's your car, do what you want. Open up microsoft paint, and get the black marker out and black all that center peice out, and see what it looks like....Make sure you leave your clear for reverse.
