Ok, soooo, here we go. I gotta start off again by thanking Keegan and Tom for answering questions via text/calls. I decided at 3:30 to install the temp sensor in the lower rad hose. So I started by draining the coolant. Pulled the drain pull.
After the coolant was completely removed, I pulled the lower portion of the rad hose, to let it drain the rest.
After letting it drain, I pulled the top of the hose off the block and got ready to cut it.
Now, I decided to use the Middle of the nissan logo on the hose so that I could put the pipe in and be able to make the hose go back together without needing to tweak it once it was inside the bay. So I started by first taking electrical tape and making a straight line all the way around so I know where to cut.
After getting the line, I cut making sure I cut the nissan logo in half.
Here is the pipe installed, not lined up correctly, just put together.
Here I show a close up of what I am talking about when realigning the hose so that it fits stock.
Here is the hose reinstalled..
I tucked those wires into the rubber sleeves that are on the hose, I think they are supposed to go over the ends where it clamps to the block and rad, but its too tight a fit and I left them on.
So, I then started to fill the rad, only to get a whole gallon of antifreeze in and that was it. Keegan told me to start it up and idle till i could see the fluid rolling through and it would begin flushing the system, well needless to say, with the turbo having seals about to die soon, my garage filled with smoke as soon as the tstat kicked in. The fluid moved but didnt really burble, so I put the cap on, shut her off, dropped her down and filled the resivoir and took her for a drive, the resivoir was empty, and im waiting for it to cool right now so i can check how full the rad is. Here is the pic of the cloud of smoke, I think its time to rebuild this turbo soon lol.
Ok lemme know what you think.
