Hey I got you a sticker lol.....i ordered 3 of both types, Keegans getting one of each, Tom's getting one of each, and I'm taking just the website one, and I'm giving you the Logo one, I would have ordered you both as well had I known you had them coils on your car. Just a little thanks for coming out that day, and for the photoshoot tomorrow.

Ok so yesterday I picked up a few more parts that I got for a heck of a deal.... HKB HUB so now I can choose a wheel later and bolt it to it. I also got a used, hopefully working, DOHC cluster, so I can put that in and have some gauges. I also have a front bumper support to install now, and I bought a drivers fender, just cause I got all that stuff for 60 bucks. So now I just need to get some motivation to hop out in the car in the cold and wind and remove the old cluster, and switch them out. I really hope they work. And wow Dante, I didnt think of doing a before and after comparison of the engine bay, although, its only going to get better.

Well, another disapointment, installed the new cluster, it no workie....Something is not right...either I got another non working cluster, or something is seriously wrong. And to add insult to the mental injury, I can't get the damn steering column bolts back in...so annoyed at them moment, it started snowing as i was laying upside down in the car using my chin to push up the column as im trying to put the bolts into place... I quit for the day.

Oh thanks for the heads up Josh, I'm really hoping its the fuse or something simple, I texted the guy i bought it from and he said it worked before, he had just yanked it. Soooo.... Keegan and I are going to talk tonight about this, and figure out a plan of attack. I know it cant be the wiring from the wiring harness, as Keegan redid that, and the dash doesn't appear to have been out, and wires dont just burn up....so its gotta be something dumb.

Yeah, those 2 12mm bolts right below the column, the gold ones, pain in the a** because of the little bit of an angle they are on.

Honestly Josh, I'm not ruling anything out at this point. It may be a possibility because it is an 89, so it would have had a sohc motor, and we all know who ever did this swap was a total tard. So I hope its not that, but out of curiousity, wouldnt a sohc cluster work then??? I hate fixing other ppl's screwups, but hey it'll all be worth it in the end.

Wouldn't that just make the tach not operate correctly? Maybe your interior plug is wired wrong.

Im sure its something stupid.

Everything coming directly off the ECU is correct, so its either under the dash, a fuse, or the SMJ (can you tell i've been talking to moses?) So we'll see. Dale I thought the same thing, just the tach would be wrong, the speedo and the rest should still operate, this is a power problem i believe, no way that 4 signals for gauges are all wrong....has to be something stupid and simple, like either a fuse, or a bad ground, or something killing power to all the gauges. I'm praying for a fuse. Oh and on a side note, I've been watching for the secret parts to come in, here i failed on ordering and messed up the email address, now they have the money and it should ship soon. Guess i was just excited and missed 2 letters.

Well, positive news.... Controversial parts are on their way!!!! Also my custom shift knob is on its way, I'm stoked for boxes to arrive. I dont know the ETA of either yet, but I'm not worried, as long as they have shipped out, they'll get here when they get here.
