Nice build Solow. Im doing the same turbo setup but not the dual gates. I noticed that you are using the circuit sports oil line kit. This kit comes with oil feed, coolant feed and coolant return? What did you use for oil return line?

wow gorgous i have a question.. who build there engines and put new setups on like this with a standalone.. doesnt the engine have to broken in before you can throw on a dyno and start tuning it? but how can you do the breakin miles with an untuned motor? i always wondered this

easy you run a base map with a few alterations for injector size and cams and such. just keep the boost extremely low. 7 psi or so. and it will actually break the motor in as you tune it on the dyno. then once you geta solid base map down. drive it around still on low boost for 800-1000 miles varrying rpms and speed. then you can do your power tuning

Are you using the .78 T3 housing or the 1.06 T4?

Alot of guys do a few heat cycles to help seal all the gaskets then strap it right on the dyno for power pulls to break it in...

Lol, relax man i haven't gotten any more pics up because it doesn't look any different! I am still saving up the rest of the cash for my tune, and to get my car there, there will be a couple videos and tons of pics once i do get her there, It will idle but is very rich so i have decided to wait till it gets to the professionals for the engine break in, and some dyno pulls to see where she is on pump gas.. What have u been up too?? Is your car running yet?? I havent see any posts latly in your build!!!!

Man, i dont even wanna get started with that!!! heres what happened... i took my car upon having it pretty much done everything was on and ready to be tuned, they had the car for 3 weeks before i was to come from Iraq right, and were supposed to have it ready by the time i got there, so i came back, and left (2 weeks later) and it wasnt ready.

then its been 2 weeks closer to 3 and they STILL dont have it ready... they told my brother that they were finishing it up, that all they were needing to do was fine tune the idle and cold start and should be ready for the power tunning this tuesday; they told him they were going to call him and hasnt happened yet...

If you're in South FL dont go TPS they suck!

yeah i know... but y bro went to the shop and when he was about to start b****ing about the sutiation as to why the car wasnt finished, the owner told us that her worker has just passed away a few days back... , i was like wow well then just finish it as soon as you and we're very sorry... so now i dont really know when this is all going to be finished since that guy was the tuner as well... either way R.I.P. Did you run into any problems with the 1.06 turbine housing?

I'm noticing that I can't tighten the nuts to hold the housing down onto the manifold, because there just isn't enough room for the nuts to seat properly.

Also finding that it's a pain to route the water lines and the oil return line. Once I clock the turbo enough to clear the water lines, the oil drain gets right in the way of the wastegates. Just not enough room.

Yes i did have problems mounting the turbo to the manifold before i painted the exhaust housing i actually had to grind it alittle with a sand paper wheel to get the inside 2 nuts to fit, my oil drain comes out on the front side of the manifold away from the wastegates i just took the gt28r oil drain and cut it apart put a 45 degree bend in it to pull it out away from the manifold alittle so it wont get to hot, and ran -12a/n braided line to the side of the block..

Also for the water lines i actually had to go buy another 90 degree fitting, for the one line and too the housing off the cold side so i could tighten them, its very tight and sucks to work on with the 1.06 GT35r twinscroll set-up on my car!

Awesome build up thread! Good luck with it all, I'm running a HKS GT3037S (very similar to 3076R) and have just made 503rwhp on 25psi and E85.

In order to do so though I had to upgrade the exhaust housing from a 0.73 to 1.12 A/R, it runs a lot cooler now too. Full boost went from 4500rpm to 5000rpm, but it it's very brutal now and will spin 4th gear on the freeway when it comes on boost.

It's already gone 134mph through the traps with 391hp @ wheels so yeah looking forward to what it will do now.

I also run HLA, spin it to 8000rpm all day with HKS Step 2 264/272 cams. The GT35 is a kick arse turbo though and something I'll use in the future when I carry out my NEO VVL head conversion.

Check out the vid and my other vids.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v..._page

Good luck!

PJ, how much does you car weigh where it can trap 134mph with only 391whp? Ever put in on the scales?

Im sure hes on a Dyno Dynamics dyno too. There like 15-20% lower than a dynojet reading.

Well that would still only put him at 450-460whp.

I just want to know how he's trapping 12mph more than I am with the same horsepower.

i kno this thread is old, but i was really curious with the 35twinscrooll 1.04 af, how much horses were you able to get out of the sr on highboost..... With the 35r, im thinking maybe you got that sucker in the 600's
