Ok guys since there are so many other build treads going on i thought i might as well post mine, I bought the car on July 4th 2008, this is not my first 240 but it is my first SR build. I bought the car off another forum member with a blown SR in it, It was running a s15 t28 and an safc. I am pretty sure that the motor blew from tuning error, it must have leaned out pretty bad because it blew the ring lands out of the side of the pistons on cyl number 1 & 2..I am still learning as im going but It has been a pretty good build so far, im looking for around 500rwhp and shooting for 10 sec 1/4mile passes..

Anyways as for pics here she is after just making the long trip home from Long Island, New York..

I had the motor out of it within The first 24 hours of owning it, lol..

And finished disassembling the internals and found why there was fuel in the oil....

Ready to go to the Machine Shop.

At first i had ordered Brian Crower cams along with my valve springs & retainers but after waiting for about 2 months of waiting and Hearing some Bad info on the cam timing on the bc cams i decided to go with Tomie 270 procams.. And my back ordered valve springs & retainers finally showed up. As far as the head it will have brian crower valve springs & retainers, Jim wolf bronze valve guides, tomie 270 cams, freshly decked, pressure checked, pnp'ed, full valve job, and An Apexi 1.5mm headgasket...More parts cam in so heres some pics!!

Got a call from the machine shop about 2 weeks later sayin the bottom end was done, i also got the rotating assemble balanced, the crank polished, freshly decked, Crank was wetmagged, block then bored and hone. Dropped the head off when i picked up the block..

priming the oil pump...

installed timing chain, guides and cover, along with the new style pickup tube gasket...

Within a week the head was done so, i picked that up...

Very nice build coming along! I'm glad to see you had the head and block built by a machine shop. I'll be doing the same thing.

Painted block, head don't worry about the overspray on the valve cover i got some stuff going to get powder coated soon...

Ok guys im tryin to get my fuel system figured out and im just wandering if anyone could tell me how much power can be made with the stock fuel rail?? Will it flow enough fuel to feed my motor?? Also i already have a walbro, nismo fpr, and will probably be running 850cc injectors..

Well it seems like you already had a plan before you bought the car Both the turbos sound very nice

Is that a real greddy intake manifold because, the spot where it normally says greddy, its blank? just curious.

Yes its a real greddy manifold, like CSUPUEBLOTIM said you place the sticker on it yourself.

If you're wanting to consistently hit 500hp you'll probably want bigger then 850cc. You might be able to do 500hp on 850side feed if you just want to hit 500 once on a dyno just to say you've done it.But for reliabilty and to actually have that power you'll probably need bigger top feed injectors.

If you call Deatschwerks (http://www.dwinjectors.com), they can help you set up a safe fuel system.

Not sure. I have a JGY top feed fuel rail and 72lbs. injestors. You could use the 96lbs inj and the top feed rail. As you already knnow JGY has reasonable prices. I have the same pulley set and I like it.

As for your turbo setup here is my opinion. You will be pushing the hell out of a Gt3076 to get 500whp. If you are going to drag race then go with the GT35R for 3 reasons... 1.) You will be easier on your engine and your turbo at 500whp. 2.) 500whp will only satisfy you for so long, you always want more!!! 3.) If you are going to spend the money on a stand alone EMS you might as well go big.

I would consider the Borg Warner S-258 as a happy medium between the 30R and the 35R?

Nice build bro, so what are your plans for the car?

And as far as fuel rail goes people make plenty of power on the stock fuel rail, but its when you go in-line fuel pump with a after market FPR is when its generally a good idea to get a fuel rail because at that point everything is AN fittings. I'm running the Greddy rail because its made for our manifolds...

Thanks for the advice kentuckyslider, i emailed you a couple times when i first got the car with some questions and you have been very helpfull..

I emailed full-race to see what they recommend also, and if they had any clue on when each turbo will be hitting full boost on my set-up, i don't want the car to be super super laggy so im hoping i can go twinscroll with a 35r and still have an ok spool time...also wandering if ur running resistors on your msd injectors, im pretty sure that over 750cc there isn't anyone that makes a high independence top feed injector. Do you think the stock fuel rail would be ok for 500hp??

As far as injectors from Deatchwerks the fuel calculator said for 520hp would be maxing out 850cc injectors and i think i will be happy with that, also it said 96lbs msd injectors would good for about 615hp, I dont no if i am ever gonna push this build that far!

Nice build so far bro! Going bigger than me, that's for sure! ha ha. I have the stock fuel rail with tomei 740cc injectors myself. If I max out that setup with my GT3071R, then I'll upgrade, lol. If you are looking for over 500whp, then I'd probably go ahead and get a top feed setup.

What made you go with the CP pistons? Just curious, because I'm still debating on what pistons to go with myself, lol
