I've been a Honda fan for many years and even my family owned and still owns Hondas.

So far for myself...1998 Honda Accord LX Coupe2003 Honda Accord LX Coupe2005 Acura TSX2007 Acura TL TypeS

Links to progress threads of my two Acuras. Spent little more than $30k fixing them up. Addiction to modding cars are too costly http://tl.acurazine.com/forums...57934h ... ms...13739

Family...1998 Honda CR-V LX2002 Honda CR-V EX-L (canadian import)2008 Honda Pilot EX-L

Ironically now I own two Nissans. One is '93 240sx SE and another is '06 Infiniti FX35.

Anyways.... here goes 240s

My first ever 240sx

1989 hatch with almost 200k milesWas missing many things and lotta small stuffs not working. It ran and shifted great though. Paid $900 cash and had it for a month and sold it to some kid for around $2500. But I spent about $1000 prior to selling it.

Here are the pictures...

My second acquire...

1993 SE Coupe AutomaticFully loaded except ABS/LSD package. Everything still works great including power sunroof, mirror, and windows.

Spotted it on the used car dealer ads and bought it right away after confirming that they still had it on the lot. Body and chasis was in great condition with clean interior other than old seats. Engine bay was pristine too with bunch of newer looking oem parts. Dealer was stating that mileage on the car was 63k miles and I was pretty skeptic on that too since car had a hud dash with regular tech gauge cluster.

But I was just too excited to get a clean bodied 240sx and didn't even bother to look further and purchased it for $2800. Later I found out that car is not 63k miles and when I looked underneath, it was all gunked up and showed its true age. Good thing it has zero rust though. Also I found couple receipts proving car was well over 100k miles. One was a receipt from tire shop dating 2006 and it was recorded at 90k miles. Another was deq receipt again dating back to 2006 with 90k miles.

Well here are some pics of my second 240sx

Some of the stuffs that came with the '93 coupe

- CD Player- Rockford Fosgate subwoofer- JBL Speakers- Optima RedTop Battery- Eibach Pro Springs- KYB AGX Shocks- Hella Headlights

Stuffs that I've done last year thinking to sell again after little fun

- Front and Rear brake pads (Cheapest NAPA)- Radiator and Radiator fluids (Old radiator blew after 100 degree summer weather)- Front and Rear sway bar bushings- Front and Rear strut tower bar (Ebay yay!)- Single tip tuner style exhaust (Old one was Hooker (?) hollow resonator can)- Alignment- Fixed timing chain rattle - Refinished trunk carpeting and rear seat into black- DEQ Passed. New tags till June 2011

But I was too lazy to meet up with wanting buyers and was caught up with loads of work so ended up not being able to sell. Between those times new car itch started and I ended up trading my beloved '07 TL typeS for '06 Infiniti FX35

Right after the purchase I added in few stuffs right away-Stillen strut bar-Stillen Intake with Z-Tube-Motordyne 5/16" copper iso thermal plenum spacer-35% Front windows tinted

And with FX's bad gas mileage ($60 of premium to go 260miles) I decided to keep the 240sx as a DD. And here's the list of things done after deciding to keep rather than selling it off

- Brembo Sport Rotors (Slotted) Front- Brem OEM Replacement Rotors Rear- Hawk HPS Pads Front & Rear- NGK Platinum Spark Plugs- Engine oil changed- Transmission oil changed- Transfer case oil changed- RPSport Subframe support brace- Tokico Blues all the way

thanx man. sad that they are gone...

since i won't be modding the FX, mods will be focused on the 240. bad thing is that local shop that used to do auto-5spd swap went bankrupt and i'll have to collect parts on my own.

Wow... from the build level of your Acura's, I'm gonna expect alot for your Nissans... or at least your 240. But the FX35 has tons of potential too! Welcome to NICO!

i'm trying to be conservative with the 240 but will see since new game just started again.

also i got the fx since its a suv but this damn thing have more aftermarket support than the acura tl-s since most parts are interchangeable with the G35's. also found this great fx forum too (infinitiscene) and because of that i already have a intake, strut bar, and plenum spacer.

planning to get unorthodox underdrive pulley set and a set of wheels that are lighter than oem 20s (they are about 42lbs each) and other than that i'll be done with the fx so i can focus on the 240sx.

I know you said 'conservative' for the 240, but what are your plans for it? Suspension, wheels, aero, power, etc...

nothing much planned for right now since i just spent almost a grand getting new brake rotors/pads and shocks/struts and some other minor stuffs.

but new wheels and tires will be next. always wanted a enkei rpf1 but since 240 will be a budget build, i'm thinking of rotas with lipless design. after that i have to find a 5spd transmission or spend a little more and get sr20 engine and transmission combo.

hondas always lack torque down low so i'm in love with the ka24 but if i can't find a right transmission at right price, i'll be going with full sr swap. during those times, i'll be swapping out old suspension pieces.

I'd recommend doing your suspension before getting new wheels. Wheelgap is the coolness killer. Kill wheelgap before it kills your cool.

Holler at us if you need suspension/wheel fitment guidance. I am a veritable treasure trove on Rota fitment info... lol

currently its riding on eibach pros. i think its perfect for dd as of now. also i had enough of angling speed bumps and curves with two acuras.

i'm planning to get some lower offset 16s with some meaty tires and they should fill in the wheel gaps it still have even with the eibachs.

i threw them away few weeks ago. odor was coming from this homemade ghetto sub box and trunk was useless with this huge hunk of wood sitting inside..

thanx. 5spd is my top priority but will have to save some more money. spent too much money recently and i'm out of funds for a while

I have 16's right now. I'm not a fan of the tire selection available, but it can be done.

any pictures of yours?

local shop currently have rota slipstreams in 16s with polished finish and they look darn good for the $500 price tag. only thing is they are 4x100 and probably i'll need spacers with 4x100 conversion.

also will need to get some hids. can't see s*** in night when its raining with stock headlights

Nice 240! You will get no hate from my direction on the Honda/Acuras. I have had quite a few over the years. I wanted to start modding my 240 so I picked up a fairly clean eg hatch to daily while it is down. Only problem is I keep finding myself looking for parts for it also.

Anyway nice cars and welcome to NICO

The 240's lug pattern is 4x114.3... Don't get Slipstreams, plz. I'll tell you why in a sec... And plz don't buy wheels knowing that you're gonna need spacers for them. Just get wheels that fit right in the first place.

Here's my cars: zer...age=1

They're nothing special at the moment, but my s13 has 16x8.5+27 Kosei K1's with 225/50/16's right now...

Ok, here's why I think you should not get those Slipstreams or these Gram Lights. The S13's fenders are wide enoungh to fit 10 inch wide wheels up front and 11 inch wide wheels in the back. That's super agressive, so 9 inch wide in the front and 9.5 or 10 inch wide in the rear is more common. With that much room, fitting 7.5 inch pizza cutter wheels is laughable.

I think that even my 8.5 inch wide all around is pretty inadequate and I'm planning to upgrade to staggered 17x9 and 18x9.5 Rotas soon. This might be helpful to you: zer...tment

fx is pretty fast for a suv even without a supercharger. other than lighter wheels and pulleys, i won't be spending anymore money. hopefully...

good to know. i knew 240s have huge fenders by looking how much wheel gap it remains even with eibach pros (my acura tl was lowered on eibach pros too) but never thought it can handle as much as that for a compact coupe.

man.. 240sx will stick to the road with such wide tires. anxious to feel the result after the the new wheels and tire combo

Yeah man... some cars are ok with just lowering springs but the 240 will absolutely need coilovers if you want to get rid of your wheelgap.

As much as 240's are known for their drifiting and stretched tires, there's alot of us who set up for grip driving. Tires like 245's all around are really nice and will fit well with low offset wheels. Myself, I'm planning for a 235/255 stagger. Should be pretty good.

i'll be setting it for grip since this will be my daily driver.

just ordered a set of energy suspension steering wheel bushings and might be picking up a set of s13 seats later tonight. i've been looking for newer seats in craigslist but couldn't locate one locally until today. if its in okay condition, i'll be happy to settle for listed price ($80)

also will be ordering a s13 tension brace once i get confirmation from the fabricator.
