i got it from local import tuner shop and no 4lug hyper blacks? are you looking for specific size? i checked rotawheel.com and they have about 30 of 17x9+12 hyperblacks in stock. my order was sent on monday and it'll be here by friday.

this is the number of shop i bought from

Speed Concept503-356-2222

talk to guy named dan and see what he can do for you shipped

Oh, I see... those must have just become available. I checked Rota's stock last week and they weren't in yet. Cool. Now I need 4 lug Hyper Black 18x9.5+15 P45R's or Grids...

Previously, the cheapest I have heard for a set was $710. I'll definently check with my local vendors before I hit up Discount Tire or any online spots... Thanks man!

yea you should definitely check local shops. rota offers free shipping to dealers if they buy at least 3 sets of wheels and my shop ordered 2 extra including mine which beats out online prices.

That is awesome. I'll have to talk to my local dealer soon about placing two half orders for a staggered setup...

Rotas are on. Love the finish and concavity of the wheel. Only wish they were +25offset so will have to roll and pull some fenders before getting coils.. With this 4x4 status, it won't be long until coils are put on.

Here's some specs

Rota P-45R 17x9 +12 4x114 Hyperblack Finish $600Sumitomo HTR+ 235/40/17 $340Rays Black extended 1.25 lugs (used) $60Eibach Pro SpringsTokico Blues

Oh, also added keyless entry last week for $195

As sexy as that is, I somehow still prefer the SE rims on your car. Maybe it needs to be lower? Nicely done though!

i like the se rims too but but some how it started to build some molds inside the clearcoat and didn't wanna refinish it.

it definitely needs to get lower with this wheel setting. unless i'll start hating this 240 with ugliest stance

Ah, understandable. I paid about $25 for supplies and a sinus infection to strip and recoat my SE rims. So, it's bittersweet. What's the next step for your car?

thinking about megan coils and godspeed suspension set that most hates in this forum. this is my daily to take me back and forth from work and some local chores so i'm thinking godspeed parts is a cheaper way to replace 17yr old oem suspension parts.

Really? Eh, I'd only settle for SPL or PBM because of their good name but it will probably be overkill for a DD. I'd rather run a good spring/shock combo than megan coils. I don't think you'd have a hard time just eliminating wheel gap with 17" rims on shocks/springs.

springs would be nice but i wonder how much eibach sportlines will get lower than eibach pros i currently have.

I have Eibach sportlines, it's a 2.2 inch drop compared to 1 inch on the Pros. I was actually thinking about picking up some P45R's, I wonder how it would look with my sportlines?

Yep. Stop right there.

Minkl81, continue as planned. Megan coils are fine for you. It'll be a little harsh, so be prepared for it.

An outdated strut/spring setup will still leave, like, three fingers width of wheel gap with 17's and 40 profile tires.

Ugh... still don't know about Megans. I think I'd go with Tein basics but I have an aversion to Megan and Tein still isn't that great.

rates on street version weren't that bad on megans i believe. anyways coils will come few months later. spent too much than expected on the 240 recently so it'll be really tight to squeeze another 8~1000...

well.. most coils end up having issues later on. i had tanabe coils and it ended up clunking. also bunch of same clunking issues with the teins too.

Megans are about the lowest quality coilover that I'd consider buying. But they have decent reviews from NICO users. Godspeed stuff is kinda iffy...

i found some tanabe coils on ebay for about $50 more than what i can get for megan coils. but i heard s13 tanabe coils are discontinued. maybe those can be some left overs?

i dropped off my 240sx last week for some works at the shop right before i left for a roadtrip and just picked it up today.

things done to the car

* 35% Carbon Tint all the way* Megan Racing Tension Bar* Megan Racing Lower Rear Brace* Fender Pull/Flare Rear

tint totally changed the look of my 240 and fender pull/flare on the rear turned out amazing. no paint chips at all and flare is very even without any bumps. also added rear lower brace made rearend rock solid along with rpsport's subframe support brace.

jonnie's s13 tension arm brace will be coming soon too and can't wait to feel the change

will post up the pics soon
