I've been around, just haven't put up pics of my A33 I30, just got it a few weeks ago to replace a '95 G20 and I love it:

These are pics from the dealer's website, I will have to take some of my own soon.

Hello,

I a new member to this group. I have been a maxima owner since 1996. I am the proud owner a 1995 Nissan Maxima GXE with 220,000 miles on it. I replaced the original engine and transmission with used ones about 50,000 miles ago. The engine was leaking oil ( we performed almost no regular maintenance on this vehicle) and it was the same price to get a used motor with 67,000 miles on it verus have the old engine repaired. I opted for the used engine. No problems. Runs like a top. I should have taken care of this vehicle better, but I didn't. It still runs great, and I love it.

However, I found a 1998 I30 with 245,000 miles on it. Ran a carfax. It is a two owner vehicle with no history of problems. Called the prior owner, but he has not returned my call yet. I am a little leery of buying a car with so many miles on it. The vehicle runs smooth and quiet in idle, but it sounds and feels a little rough on the highway or above 35 mph. I hear a lot of cabin noise and almost feel like there is a drag. Not even close to being a smooth ride like my Maxima. Taking the vehicle to the dealership tomorrow to get it inspected thoroughly. The vehicle is clean inside and outside. Black exterior, leather, heated seats, power roof, and the car lot is asking $4200. I think I can get them down to $3700. NADA and Kelly are at least $1,000-$1500 higher in value, but those values don't properly take into full account all of these miles. Not sure if I should even be considering this vehicle. Please advise!

I love the car.

Sleepless in Springfield.

Welcome to NICO guys.

inhebriatedturtle: I've always been a bit jealous of the I30's getting all the Cefiro goodies. Be sure to post up some pics of your ride.

jmaxima: We've had some coversations through email, but I'm counting on you to offer some great advise for any audio questions that arise.

maximalover23: Usually I would say if it doesn't feel right, pass it up. Just because it doesn't show up on a carfax report doesn't mean that it hasn't been wrecked. Carfax only tells you of accidents that have been reported to the proper authorities. I find it particularly odd that you hear a lot of cabin noise, since the fit and finish of the Maxima/I30s is impecable. Also, most car lots in my area are looking for upwards of $5k for 4th gens in good condition. Please let us know what the dealership tells you about the I30 after you take it in for inspection.

I've been lurking for about a week while I read-up on these cars. I took-over my wife's 2001 I-30T last Saturday (when my truck was traded-in to buy her new car).

It's AWESOME... Huge improvement over my '02. The transmission lets you hold the VQ in a sweet spot right around 5900 RPM and this thing freakin' MOVES. It's a touch sluggish off the line with the TCS on, so just turn it off when needed. Best thing is no torque steer.

Hello ALL,I am a newbie here and this is my first post, very glad to stumble over this site. Proud owner of a 2k3 I35, w/ built in Navi, fully loaded. Diamond graphite, blk leather interior w/ wood trim.

So far the only upgrades are my chrome 20's (255/35/20R) and K&N air filter. Still thinking if I should throw my stocks on for the summer, since I'm in NJ. I've had this car for about a couple of months now, and it was a great investment. Wish I could say the same about my ex-girl. Next on list will be headrest TVs. Comments/feedback welcome.

I'm sure I will pick up a few pointers here and there. Thanks
