it appears you are well past the need but a lot of the v8 domestic swap guys space the crossmember down from the frame rail half an inch with a piece of plate steel

Hello from Ohio. I just acquired a 1996 Infinity I30. It's an automatic with a little over 165,000 miles on her. I am looking for any info in the area on any shops that could do a 5-speed swap for, as time is something i do not have a lot of. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also love the site, found a lot of info that will be beneficial in the near future.

Well, I purchased a "97 I30 in Jan of "06. it had 127k when I bought it, and i still have it, and it currently has 307k on it, and is still ticking like a clock. With this many miles on it, she's no show pony as you can imagine, but its sure been a workhorse for me. I am currently in the market for a newer model, more than likely a 5th gen maxima, and can only hope I get close to the same reliability as the previous..

Just wanted to update, after shopping around for a decent used max or Infiniti, ended up with this 2002 I35..

I'm a new I30 owner. A 96 I30t with about 172k. Just picked up the car for $2,500 with pretty good service and maintanence records. Just a couple of small issues but I wanted to check in here. This is my first post here (I think anyway lol). Posting from Clearwater Florida!

Well, the I35 was taken by a winter storm, here is its replacement with the summer spools and pins stripped off. I would like to drop it a little, but dont want to lose ride quality (getting old) or ride height (snow)..
