Have a big problem, car can run ok but sometimes when i'm stopping car loses power and turns off. No check engine on.
Have code P0325 knock sensor failure, can this cause the car to turn off while stopping?

I've done a few mods done over the years ... looking good one piece at a time. I bought it 4 years ago when it was released as a car rental with roughly 80k miles. It needed many things from brakes, suspension to new timing chain and paint. Had it painted back in 2007 in a Lexus blue pearl white but it has started to peel with the New England's brutal winter weather. I added black housing headlights, i35 grill, i 35 taillights, 20" chrome FX35 wheels and this coming weekend I will be installing K-Sport Kontrol Pro Damper System. Removing the Tein Springs and Tokico Shocks which is a horrible ride right now especially with the 20s. Here's a picture of what it looks like today. Any ideas to add to it, let me know!

Thanks to all for the information regarding the timing chain for 1997 I30. I have 109,000 miles, replaced struts, tires and a recent tuneup with upper and lower gasket replacement. Purchased two years ago to drive around in the neighborhood but have taken a couple of 400-500 mile trips this year (26 mpg) and it is really a smooth vehicle to drive. I can't get the garage door opener (located in the sun visor) to work with my new Genie opener. I worked with the old Blue Max opener (built by Genie) but the new system changes the code after every use so I have to use the clipon attached to the visor. I was spoiled by visor opener. Anybody have any ideas, Genie can't solve it.

I also have a Slight dilemma if anyone on here can help. I recently replaced the Forward O2 sensor and the knock sensor in my I30. After the job I started the car and noticed the check engine light was still on. I figured the computer needed to be reset, so after I drove it around the block I disconnected the negative battery terminal and let it sit for 20-30 minutes (attempting to reset the computer/ECM). After reconnecting the negative terminal I attempted to start it with no luck. Everything comes on like normal when the battery is turned on. I checked the battery voltage with my meter and it reads a little over 12V dc. But everytime I try to start it, it won't crank. I can't even here the ignition click, let alone the starter crank... What did I do to my car? PLEASE HELP...

HI! i own a 1999 I30 touring its all stock except the #3 button on the radio is missing and there are odd wires sticking out from the D/S airvent and there are some odd connectors and wires sticking out in the trunk. i just bought this car to replace my 94 saturn sl1. another car i own is a 78 el camino thats a work in progress, like me rebuilding a 200-4r trans. FUN!

Hello ALL, I just purchased a 1997 I30 not sure it's a base model or a t? 107,626, Hunter Green paint, Leather int, sun roof, stock rims w/BOSE sound. Ok, so i turn on the radio and find that the antenna is not extending, seems the shaft was broken off and it has no way to come out straight. (ordered another on amazon) Here is my BIG question as i was lurking around the antenna i end up with 2 water hoses connected to a Y pipe, 1 side clear and about 3/8 dia the other 1/2 dia. I moved it an water poured out, what is it?

Newbie here; just bought my first Maxima (2011 S) and I am in love with it.

Two questions though: I want to get those LED daylight running lights and place them next to the open spaces near the foglights. But not sure which ones I should go with. Any suggestions? Also, I want to get headlight bulbs that will match: any more suggestions?

Finally, I am not really found of all of the interior orange color and was wanting to change the color scheme to blue: can this be done? If so, what's the best way to go about it?

Bought my car about a year ago and I have a catyltic converter issue. Code reads "catylyst efficiency below threshold"...I dont want to spend close to a thousand for new OEM part from dealership but I also dont want a universal that wont fit properly. Can anyone point me towards some cheep cat converers? Also does anyone know how to change the fog bulbs on the I-35?

1991 Nissan Maxima GXE 3.0L V6 SOHC 12V FI, I bought it in last January. I'm starting to pampering and I want to have it totally repaired and as at year end. I installed new shocks, Monroematic in the front and sensatrac in the rear. Have problems with the shiftlock and the electronics in the board. The clock on the dash works intermittently, same case of the light of the control of the air conditioning, also have problems with cruise control and it is disconnected. There is much to do ahead.
