I just spoke with Erik from LowLife yesterday. I told him about all this mess going on about his mounts on the forums. He explained to me about how this guy from Trinity Manufacturing (machine shop that used to fab the mounts for him) was giving him the run around. After a while he never got the product from him and decided to use another machine shop. The other machine shop is also very busy but has been good with getting him back his mounts in a reasonable amount of time. Now he's down to only two sets of mounts that he has to get out to people and he says he should have those in his hands by the end of next week. He told me he's annoyed by all these people trying to harrass him and harrassing him will not get things done any faster. In fact, pissing him off makes things move slower.

Now I'm not friends with the guy, I'm in no way trying to protect him or anything. Nor am I condoning for you guys to go burn down his shop(especially since my car is there). I happen to have my car in his shop because he was the only place around me that I knew does RB work and he seemed trustworthy. I'm just trying to get info for all the blood-hungry NICO club members out there.

Anyway, from my impartial observation of the whole situation:

The mistake on Erik's part was selling the mounts before he even had the finished product in his hands. Yes, that was a mistake and I'm sure he's learned or is learning from it and sure as hell knows what to do next time he tries selling something.

I think people here go alittle overboard and want to see bloodshed over small things. By all means, demand the mounts or get your money back. But, threatening to beat people up and stuff like that is just retarded.

grown adults get harrassed for $20 of debt from collectors.

People get shot and killed over $0 on the street.

When someone gives the run around or not-so-honest repsonse or crappy service after they take someone's money regardless of the amount, I figure getting upset and wanting to find a way to find the guy is resonable.

Do I think there should be bloodshed, no. Do I think illegal action should be taken, no. But do I think NICO does a good job of helping fellow members out in times like these, yes.

By no means was this a bash agaisnt your post s14_sport, actually your post is one of the most benificial post in this thread and proof that you are a helpful member of this forum that helps others.

From a business standpoint I personally always stay in touch with the cus this would be a backorder situation once I knew they were on backorder I would have called every cus and said heres the deal if you want the mounts there will be a wait but I don't have a time frame or I can give you your money back. Wow that was easy and kept a thread like this from getting started.

no one said they were gunna get physical, i wont lie, if i went to his shop and he didnt have my mounts or my money we woulda of had a problem but no sensible adult goes around smashing things first and asking questions later, and no one wants bloodshed over little things, hell i risked my life for my car, most of my project was funded by money i earned while i was in iraq, so i consider it very personel when someone tries to take advantage of me because i know all the blood, sweat, and tears i put into my belongings, and finally that line about them being in his hands in the comin weeks is straight up **** he has been saying that for a while, but its all good, i am gunna go by his shop tommorrow when i get off work, and i will be returning with gas money and mounts or mount money
