First off I'm sorry you would think that way of our staff. It is unfortunate we have seem shops come and go though and with a name that, yes is a play on words, it is also a reference or nod to a another kind of low life, the type that do fix cars up for cheap, with other peoples parts and money. I'm not saying that is you or what you're all about, only for someone who didn't know the meaning of your name, it might appear somewhat dark.

At any rate, most of this should be dealt with privately and this thread has a lot of finger pointing and the like, it's not doing too much for the community at large, either for you or your customers, Erik. I will close it for now until we can better decide a course of action. I hope that you can appreciate the staff here though, as we see a lot of stuff day in, and day out we do often become skeptics and yes that is unfortunate, but we don't jump on bandwagons to make ourselves look good. I hope everyone can appreciate this bandwagon carreening to a halt right now. Guys best of luck resolving the situation, and thanks for trying to alert the community, but best to take it to e-mails as Erik does seem to want everything resolved peaceably and quickly.

Im unlocking this thread because its not fair to the members who may have something to say back to you.

and on a personal note about your comments towards the staff, get over it. you only get one chance at a first impression and your name made it here long before you did. my job is to protect my members from scammers. and to be perfectly honest a shop that sounds like it should be doing bagged mini trucks, in my head, probably shouldnt be selling their own custom RB swap parts. if you can change my mind, great.

Ben It seems you have been doing even more fabrication than I have these past few days. I fabricate parts and you fabricate LIES! Wow, does that mean we are in the fabrication business together??? Should I copy and paste what I have really told you in our emails, or would you rather admit to being a liar, and I wont embarass you?

Would you like to tell all the people that you lied about me saying I have the products and will ship them out when you send money? or would you rather me show everyone the emails that perfectly clearly state to you that the drive shafts are made to order, and some parts were on backorder, and I would check for you on status, and that the mounts are being PRODUCED, and it would be over a week before I would ship them???? Its up to you Ben. I can do it either way, I can let you handle your lies like a man, or I can just show everyone what you did with your own emails.

This B.S. on this forum needs to stop.
by all means if you have proof, share it. the burden of proof is unfortunately on your shoulders.

Thanks Joe, I look forward to seeing the facts rise to the surface and this issue dealt with fully.

maybe some of the problem with this thread and this forum is because of the moderators. You pick on the name of a company like you are in 3rd grade. maybe you will call me a poopyhead next. I also notice that in the thread there are threats and comments that I have seen shut down many times when the mod does not like it, but this you let go rampant with no direction or attempt to be objective. I feel bad for all the good people on this forum that have to be subjected to this sort of thing. Arent there guidelines Moderators are to follow?? I would be amazed if this thread is within the guidelines of what is supposed to be done with a thread of this nature. I could be wrong on this also, but are mods supposed to be impartial, or jump on whatever bandwagon gets them a few laughs or gets people fired up?Maybe I am wrong on that, if someone could fill me in I would be greatfull.

also in this same thread it is talked about that someone has paid thousands to a company and cannot get a tracking number or even a REASON why they have not received anything!! I keep people step by step updated on parts that they bought for a discount while they were UNDER DEVELOPMENT!!!!!!! and we are talking about a fraction of that money, and yet you pick on me for my name???? This forum is unbelievable.I would also assume that this post will be taken down just like any other time you say anything that isnt kissing the but of the moderator, but it should be said, and since this thread is all about making me a scapegoat I might as well say it here.

DJ this isnt so much directed at you, even though you would be in the group that I thought was better than judging a shop that you can see their work in front of you and can only fixate on the name printed on a business card. I sincerly hope you are not that closeminded in other areas of your life.

The name is a FUNNY PLAY ON WORDS PEOPLE!!!!!!!! we do alot of lowered cars and started as a car club about 12 years ago. I am very very sad that I misjudged so many people, and gave so many more credit than they obviously deserved. I never thought so many people would be this childish and closeminded, and humorless. Every day, we say a car is "sick" or "killer" or " bada**" or "crazy" any of a hundred phrases like that, and you people make a stink, and more importantly you have the balls to pass JUDGEMENT on this company for the same type of sarcasm that spews out of your mouths on a daily basis. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. This company was started to give everybody a fair shake, and not to be like all the other places out there that just bolt stuff on and try to get the most amount of money out of you as possible. We even spend countless hours of R&D OFF THE CLOCK to help people get things that work just as well or better than other brands but cost them less.

This is what I get for trying to help out the nissan community. and help people that arent rich still get a cool car built. A simple "thanks" would have been fine, but I got stuck with a group of people that would rather do things like this instead. I am really starting to see why Jon Powell got out of the RB community.

I am on no bandwagon son. I am on my own program. I stand by making a point about your name, read back some where I explain why. Your name implies a lack of professionalism and underhandedness and you are living up to that it would seem. Maybe if you spent less time worrying about me commenting on your "companies" name and more time, oh I don't know GETTING PEOPE THEIR **** THAT THEY HAVE PAID YOU FOR! this thread would not exist. Handle your business Mr. "lowlife" and quit screwing my members over.

You got proof that these people are lying show it, otherwise the only thing I want to hear from you is when our people's parts or refunds ship.

Alright, I will help you. Let me help you run your own business because you seem to have trouble. Here is what you should do, seriously, no sarcasm.

step onecompile a list of outstanding orders

step twowhat's on the shop's shelves that can fill the orders?

step threecontact suppliers, what can be at my doorstep tomorrow morning?

step fourany orders that cannot be shipped by COB tomorrow immediately refund

step fivenotify all outstanding orders that the item will ship today, tommorow, or be refunded today.

step sixcome in here and give a status report

If you did that I think you would regain a lot of confidence you have lost. People don't want excuses they want action. Your suplier ****ed you, too bad, customers did'nt give money to your supplier, they gave money to you and they want product not excuses. I know it sucks but it's how it works in business. You are responsible for the actions of your supplier. Customers don't want to hear about what you can't do, they want to know what you can do. Take immediate action, ship what you got, refund what you can't, immediately. That will be the best thing to do. Don't come in here whining, that is wasting time and adding fuel to the fire.

Ben, you are really interested in twisting the facts arent you?Why didnt you copy the rest of the paragraph? The whole thing is explained clear as day, and yet you again chose to lie and be deceiving.

The whole paragraph reads as follows.

driveshafts are made to order, and mounts are being produced as fast as possible right now. I will have a few extra sets on the shelf soon, but due to machining and money restrictions I only have so many parts of them on hand. I have the rear crossmembers, hardware, and isolators and some of the pieces for the front pieces of the mounts. So for both the driveshafts and the mounts there is a few day downtime period after the order is placed so I can apply those funds to customers parts and get them sent out as soon as they are made.I believe I have the pictures though if you would like to see what you would be purchasing. If thats what you are interested in please let me know and I will get those pics sent to you asap. Thanks,

You cant explain it much clearer than that, and I in no way implied that they were ready to ship, or anything else untrue. I have had most of the components to these mount kits in stock for some time now. They are being completed as per order. Which there is nothing wrong with and is standard procedure for many custom parts. I even go into much more detail in an effort to be clear than most places would ever bother to do. I dont see why these LIES continue?!?!?!?!

Lets be clear on one thing, what I was trying to express and explain when this thread was initially locked.

The 2 people complaining committed ILLEGAL activities against me!!!And that is WHEN AND WHY my communication with them stopped, not before.

So what I am seeing from the mods and some members I guess I am to understand that this forum condones, or considers those types of activities, or action ok, or justified?Should I be understanding of people that are committing harassment, and terroristic threats? Is that what people are expected to do?

I could have filed a police report and filed charges against both of them at any time. And also some of the people on this thread that have committed slander which is also a serious crime, which I still may persue if it is not corrected soon.

Just because someone got mad and lost their patience does not mean its ok to break the law.

And to the moderators that say this should be allowed because the forum members should be made aware, lets be honest, this isnt about being made aware, that would be a very simple straightforward post, and in that case it would have been said to keep to the facts in order to help the forum members out and give them the information they need to make an informed decision. Not the torch and pitchfork crock of you know what that this turned into. Making members aware, by talking about a delay or that they were not pleased with shipping times or service is one thing. This is more of an unfounded , one-sided lynching that is sanctioned by the staff of the forum.

Seems very interesting that no one has brought up the fact that these members feel it ok to BREAK THE LAW when they get upset? Shouldnt that be something the forum members are made aware of?

Maybe I should do that now,

To any forum member that is contacted by either of the 2 main parties that have been making claims about me, beware that they seem inclined to harass and threaten you if they get upset over business matters. They may threaten your home, your business, and even your person with damage, fire, and bodily harm among other things. They may also be tempted to twist facts, lie, and alter the truth to suit there own wants. They may slander you in an attempt to bring more validity to their claims. So be warned, and be safe.

And this is not ranting or twisted facts, these are just things that have been allowed to be stated and or eluded to on this forum.

You want to help the forum members, how about helping the businesses that have been around helping the entire nissan scene for almost a decade?I am not asking for people to be silenced, but keeping it within reason would have been more appropriate. I tried to defend myself and got shut down as soon as I expressed my opinions about the moderators, after these people had free reign to do whatever they pleased, and then the thread was reopened only to allow more target practice.

No person has ever not received their products or a refund if they did not want any particular part, for any reason.

Does every one see that? NO PERSON HAS EVER NOT GOTTEN WHAT THEY PAID FOR OR THEIR MONEY BACK IF THEY HAVE ASKED FOR IT.

Carlos even has his money back now, because he actually acted like a grown up and stopped harassing me for long enough to refund his money.

I now want to apologize to every single member of this forum. This whole thread could have been avoided if slightly different actions were taken by myself and by the other contributing members. I feel dirty just being involved. To any of you that will see the rantings of these people and be scared away from my products and/or services I appologize, as it is not fair that they tainted your view with lies and in effect cost you money, or robbed you of a potentially good experience with my company.

To Kamin

"in your head" a company should not go outside the bounds of what its name might imply to some persons.

We do as many if not more RB swaps here as any other shop in the country that I know of. If there is one that does more than us, great and more power to them, but I am not aware of one. Any given day you can find NO LESS than half a dozen RB cars here, in various stages of their build. Yes the mini-truck influence was much more apparent a few years ago, and has now made way more for the performance side of things, that doesnt mean we shouldnt be allowed to sell our parts. Thats one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Would you tell wallmart to sell only things that had to do with walls? and stop selling 99% of their products because the name only implies walls? Should the huge corp of Mitsubishi stop selling everything but cars? what about, TVs, Tuna, Farm equipment, heavy machinery, electronics (if they did this non of your RBs or most other nissans would run since they all use mitsu sensors), would you tell your sponsor wiring specialties that they shouldnt be selling anything that does not have to do with wires? If they would like to start selling vinyl graphics, or gauges shouldnt they be allowed?

and not just allowed but what is wrong with people that they would even think that a company should not step outside any area that their name does not imply?

I would completely understand if I had begun selling a product that didnt work and then claimed no responsibilty because I had no idea of what it was to be used for. Other than that I can see no excuse for such a comment.

and opening up this thread so people could "say something back" The whole reason DJ locked this in the first place is right here. this is something that should be resolved privately and thats what was being done.

mad scientist, I guess you are a little upset, so much so that you even tried to tell me how to run a business. Its real easy for you to give simple black and white answers to problems you do not have to deal with. That does not mean you know what you are talking about just because you have the power of a delete button in front of you. Please I mean this following comment with no disrespect to any cool forum member or mod out there, but where does a forum jocky with limited view of a situation get off telling me, owner of a successful business, how to run a business? If you are the owner and operator of a large company, or a business professor then I apologize, but otherwise your attitudes and opinion is useless, and the condescending way in which you gave it is insulting and out of line, and I should be given an apology.Dont presume you know how to run my business because of one or 2 overemotional forum members that had nothing more than a customer service issue that was already being resolved before you ever even heard about it let alone added your $.02. When you prove that you are better at running a company than I am, I would be more than happy to listen to your opinions, but since from what I understand about this forum the burden is on your shoulders to prove me wrong. Thats what Kamin just showed us all in his post. BTW, I never screwed any of "your" members or any other members over. And I did get them their s**t or refunds, I never broke the law either, unlike some of the people you are defending, you might want to keep that in mind while you are up there on you soapbox.

mad scientist, I also never said I am not responsible, in fact if you look at these posts you will see that in almost every post of mine I have been giving the status and resolving things, what you seem to want me to do is condone the actions of people acting outside the law when they get upset. I have not, will not, and never will do that. There is a right and a wrong way to do things, and we all know 2 wrongs dont make a right. If I acted differently it would have been encouraging these and other people to break the law whenever they got upset. I am not claiming that I am not responsible for the actions of suppliers, or even employees, but mistakes made by any of those parties does not constitute fraud on my part. All you want me to do is either admit to screwing people when I did not. Trying to find a good solution to a bad situation is not screwing people. Not trying to find a solution would also be bad but that is not the case here, and it never was. You said people want results not excuses. What excuses did I give???? The answer would be NONE. I gave people my apologies and the rest of the facts of the situation and my plans to resolve this along with my reasons for doing it in such a way.And the thread has every right to exist my point is that if a few mods would have stopped to think for a second instead of picking up pitchforks with the rest of the villagers this could have played out on here in a clear informative fashion that would have been useful to the members, to myself, and to the people that originally created it, but instead we wound up with this Jerry Springer-esque embarrassment to everyone involved.

Kamin- the reply to ben is copied directly from our emails, is that enough proof for you or would you like me to copy more, or even to forward the emails directly to you and you can do with them as you see fit. I wasnt able to attach the whole list of emails, and I think that would be a little overkill anyway. If you look through them and give your judgement it should be trusted coming from you.I will do as you ask, if this is not already enough proof of what has been going on here.I also would like to add that since he knowingly lied and used my name and I believe my business name, that that is defined as slander and it is breaking the law. I would hope that something will be done about this.

I'm an completely unbiased thread viewer, BUT I wish to point out a couple things. First, verbal threats are at MOST a misdemeanor, if not just total B.S. (a he said/She said thing) Second, taking peoples money for goods and or services and not providing either is for sure a crime and is easily validated by reciept for payment. That is a Felony in my state depending on dollar value (and to my knowledge what you charge for mounts and a D/S is over the dollar threshold) Thirdly Libel (not slander it's spoken and libel is written) is a CIVIL matter, not a crime (get it straight). Defamation is more closely tied to what you're implying. I'm not going to get into the WHOLE civil tort mess as I'm not a lawyer, just a simple street cop. Just do some research. Those things being said, I am not taking sides but I do think communication is the key as has been outlined. As a "succesful" buisiness owner you ought to know that blowing people off because they said something you didn't like or got a little assie when you can't deliver in what they think is a fair time frame is NOT good business sense (of course being the success you are you know that). Carlos you get more bees with honey dude.

uber95, thank you for clearing that up, I was going on what I had been told by someone who has experience in these sorts of things. I had things a little mixed up but still the fact remains the actions were wrong. I would also like to clarify that paying for goods and never receiving them is of course illegal, changing an ESTIMATED delivery time is not. I agree that it is perfectly reasonable to be upset over something of the sort that doesnt make it ok. What I was told by an officer in my area is that the things said may very well be considered terroristic threats which is indeed serious, and that I should not continue verbal communication as it could be said that I was party to it and not a victim of it. Or I could at least be accused of such. Not answering threatening phone calls did not stop me from getting Dustin his driveshaft, and not responding to Carlos was simply waiting for him to calm down and be reasonable and stop threatening me. Havent you ever seen or heard of a customer service rep, or a cell phone call center employee that tells the customer they will be forced to hang up if the customer does not calm down, or stop making threatening or crude comments? I was doing nothing different, so for all the people that are trying to tell me about customer service, I believe what I was doing is roughly outlined in customer service 101.

Good God.

As the owner of a successful business, I can say this: I'm not buying half of the BS I'm reading here. I've been in the "scene" since this guy was riding a Schwinn, and I've never, not once, heard of them.

Here's the deal - If you read the Terms of Service, nothing there prohibits what's been posted here other than touting LLK's name and products.

Instead of spending so much time typing up meaningless comments about my Moderators and how they do their job, how about spending a little more time taking care of the people who needed something from you?

Just because you don't like the way a customer acts does NOT give you the right to delay them what they've rightfully paid for. If one guy acts like an adult and is patient with you, and the other emails you incessantly and posts his gripes on a message board, or is in your opinion "unreasonable", they BOTH have a right to their product OR their money in a timely fashion.

A "successful" business need not make excuses based on suppliers or other related parties, becausethey'll have the capital and resources to fill the customer's needs.

For what it's worth, my Moderators do an outstanding job, and I won't have them second-guessed. We didn't get to be the largest Nissan forums on the web (by a HUGE margin) by cowing to the whims and fancies of vendors or suppliers - We provide a service, consequences be damned.

If you're so concerned about "slander" and "libel", have your attorney contact me. I DO NOT entertain discussions of legality with uninformed people. Period.

Get these people their stuff in a timely manner, and there won't be any such discussions henceforth.

In the future, it'd be wise (for all parties reading) to do a little more research on your choice of vendor.

We don't have any "pull" with non-sponsors, and those that DO sign on have made a commitment to put their reputation on the line, and have proven themselves worthy and accountable time and time again.

Remember when we spoke...I guaranteed you it would be handled???? you were rude to me and made very serious threats. Speaking to you those few times, you were totally out of line. I tried to stay calm, but now thats its over, I hope you realize that you cannot call people that you don't know, at home, that used to be involved with someone, who owns a business and make threats. honestly when you threatened to burn the place down, you are lucky I did not hang up and call the cops. Like I said to you...this situation sucks, it was not a good time for anyone, but life sucks sometimes. and hopefully you will learn that you don't get far, making serious threats. I am glad that it is over, and I hope people will move on... LLK has a good reputation, but like with any business, sometimes things happen, and you can't please everyone.

Urnext wrote:Hey guys I'm not trying to thread jack here but I just got a s13 in to the shop with an RB20 in it and low life did the swap. It took me about 10 mins and I found at least 10 things I wouldn't let leave my shop and I became very disappointed because I know quite of few people who have gotten work done there. First off since the swap was done the car never ran right it has a TPS wiring issue I'm sorting out today. The engine harness has many open wires in it that should be loomed. When they cut the holes in the fenders for the intercooler piping the body ground on the passenger side was hit cutting about 4-5 wires. They never put a spacer on the dump so it rubs the steering shaft. The breather hoses are plugged on the valve cover(how the hell is it suppose to breathe). The maf wiring is unshielded and about 3 sizes bigger then it needs to be. Ah hell theres so much more but I figured I'd let you know what just rolled into my shop BTW this is the sec car I've seen from them that has multiple issues.
I had a rookie of mine weld the intercooler pipes together for welding practice because it was his friends car. The motor was customer bought, and the swap was done by the customer with an old version of my mounts from about 3 1/2 years ago, that he got second hand from another friend that had previously had a swap done here. The piping was run through the wholes that already been cut with what looked like a hammer or screwdriver, and I put a timing belt on the car for him because his was shot and I didnt want to see him blow his motor. A guy that used to work here part time messed with the wiring a bit so we could attempt to start the car and put it outside, he got frustrated with it and the car sat until it sold. Please dont presume to know how I do swaps, when the person that picked that car up knew full well the story behind the car. He got an RB20 swapped S13 for $2000, of course it had issues, thats why he bought it, because it was messed up and affordable. Also just because a car has been at my shop does not mean I am responsible for the way the swap was done. People bring me cars constantly that are botched, or unfinished swaps that need to be fixed or diagnosed, they want a sticker cause they liked the service so I give them one, that doesnt mean I hacked their car. I dont go on the internet bashing every shop that I get a car from that I have to fix, its unprofessional. I wouldnt do it to you, so please dont do it to me.as for the other car you said you have gotten, please give me a call anytime 610.434.7776 and I would be more than happy to discuss any car that came from here, because I am sure you will not be finding the problems you are claiming from a car that was actually swapped here.

Triple posting FTL. Since it seems you got LLK to finally come with answers, it appears like you became the new go-to / contact person.I agree, people should stop calling you since you are unrelated to this business. Threats and sexual comments only come from scared leg-humpers.

I also agree with Hitman in mentioning LLK's huge posts.

Greg, I really need to talk to you about one of your other vendors/sponsors I had referred to earlier. I'll email you with the big problem when I'm out of work. Thanks!!

I was doing my job, but the actions of people on this forum and the mods made that even more difficult and the situation needed attention. if you are a business owner you should know that you cant just sit back and watch your name get dragged through the mud without acting all the while with no support from the people that you are supposed to respect and trust on here. As a forum member you are thought to have your best interest and safety in mind by the moderators, I am a forum member, where was that consideration for me???? Seemed to go right out the window. I should not have had to waste my time typing on all this because the mods should have been more responsible, and before that I was not wasting my time on it because the situation was being handled. I was forced to step in when it was apparent that the mods were not going to do the job we are led to believe they will.

I have been told to be responsible and professional quite a few times through this, and yet no moderator has once stepped up and said they should have been more responsible with what went on in it. I am being accountable for my actions, why is it that NICO staff is so above this?

...because we don't know who the hell you are.

You could be a kid working out of his basement.

I've said my piece, and I rarely retract.

That email was sent on the 18

Erik, I purchased mounts from you in June/July time frame knowing that there would be a delay in receiving my mounts. It is now October, and i have yet to receive anything from you. Last time we talked you told me the mounts would be shipped that week, which was a month ago. This is my final attempt to reconcile this matter with you, If i do not receive a call or an email from you by this coming monday, i will be visiting your shop with the police, as well as a paper trail of all communications we have had. I also will be notifying my Chain of Command in the US Army, to acquire my money at ANY and ALL costs. I am very sorry it had to come ot this, but my patience expired when you lied to me, and then refused to answer my calls and emails. Hopefully you send me my money and we can forget about this whole matter. Thank you! SPC. Carlos Johnson US Army

and i sent this on the 2nd of oct

just confirming you sent my set of mounts last week, please shoot me a tracking number asap Carlos

2 weeks after he told me they were sent

I AM A MEMBER HERE. So how can you not know who I am, it doesnt matter what room of a house I am in, basement or otherwise, if you are looking out for them, why wouldnt you look out for me? LLK is in my sig, and I have posted on here as well as other people as to who I am.

I do want to thank all of the people that I have dealt with in the past few years that saw this going on and stepped up to say something. I did read all of it and I am greatfull for your support on and off of this forum. Its at least some comfort to know there are a lot of people out there that appreciate what we do here.

I am just relieved that this is over. I wish Carlos well with his car. I am also saddened that things had to come to this. I wish I had been able to produce parts for him faster, as I am sure he wishes he had acted different. I spoke to him many many times and he always seemed like a really nice guy. Best of luck.

Well I have to say that this thread sucks.Threats are bad period......it's definatley not the best way to handle any situation. As for the vendor and his company name......company name is ok as long as the service doesn't mirror the name and it is indeed a play on words.

Now as far as the situation goes here from an unbiased point of view and just an opinion.I feel in a way the customers were not getting ripped off but were slighted a bit, whether it being a miscommunication or whatever nevertheless they felt they were not going to receive their products nor their refund...for whatever reason this impression was given to them. I as well understand that suppliers can be a pain in the *** sometimes and really they can be a route to alot of headaches from customers ie: I work for Volvo,Jaguar, Land Rover and Porsche very large successful companies, and if I have a part on backorder literally day to day the ETA's can change,or I can have no ETA at all in some cases. Now myself I have developed a system to inform all parties that need to know on a daily basis the status of their orders, simple excel spread sheets are emailed to the service dept.,copy on accessory orders is printed and given to the sales manager, and the customer counter or phone orders are printed and given to my shipper/reciever who REGARDLESS of an ETA change or not calls the customers everyday with an update on the status of their order...he's instructed to stop calling only when the customer requests so. Also if the customer is no longer wanting the product they are refunded right away or the order for them is canceled.

The comment about the mans ex has to be apologized for and honestly no bad blood but that wasn't right and was a little immature.......funny in a way but immature none the less.

This site has been the largest and least filled with crap site I have been on and seriously all this bashing back and forth sickens me.

Like was said before resolve the issue...send the parts send the money and call it a day.

As for the repeated posts by the Vendor...everyone makes mistakes and that was one by you sir, noone seems more guilty or unprofessional then someone who will continuosly banter with ppl on a webforum about silly threats and such. Also there was some not so good stuff said by both sides in this situation and I think everyone can own up and make peace.

I think you have a good chance to learn from this EVERYONE and next time hopefuly you won't make the same mistakes.

My .02 for what it's worthKendal
