That explains why. I never knew that.

its only a matter of time before the automatic transmission pukes its guts and stops moving the car... import automatics are notoriously weak and prone to slipping...

and they aren't fun

You're an idiot.

I've driven automatics that would make you piss yourself. Then who'd be the p****?

You've been driving for what, a year? You're hardly the one to be calling anyone a p****, kiddo. Your Dad shoulda taught you some manners.

And it's "you're", not "your".

My opinion is that if you modify a automatic car that came with the option of being a manual then you are wasting your time. And I give respect where respect is given. And it's " should of", not "shoulda"

Well some people aren't lucky enough to find a manual car... Especially if you live in the backwoods of Iowa... But the OP also said that they were planning a 5-speed swap if I'm not mistaken. d

It just seems that a lot of things done to the car are half-assed and not thought through. There are a lot of quality parts, but the installation and workmanship isn't up to my standards, which I realize is a totally arbitrary value. I think it would be a much nicer car if proper research were conducted and parts were installed with care the first time around.

Maybe it's just me, but I remember a few of Lonismo's posts from the ka-t forum, I didn't get a very good impression.
To be honest there is only a few parts I like or would use from this build, the manifold, turbo, injectors, fuel rail, wideband. and the swirl tank for the coolant.

Now personally I would rip out the emanage, maf, ecu and go with a Megasquirt and Map, IAT sensor instead. Would need to rig up a trigger wheel if the car doesn't have one, but thats me.

Helping my friend though to get the car working again.

That's not what you said. Backpedaling is even more p**** than driving an automatic.

That's a cute t-shirt slogan, but it fails in the real world.

At 16, you don't have that option. You have to earn it, especially from folks who are older than you.

Let's not be calling people "p****" unless it's in person, ok?
troskinatior wrote: And it's " should of", not "shoulda".
Actually, it's "should have", not "should of".

EXAMPLE: You should have made sure you were correct before you took a crack at my grammar, kid.

Now be quiet, the men are talking about building cars. Pay attention, you might learn something.

sorry for m voice, lawls, this is 2nd start, first start was 15 minutes before this, now its fine, we also corrected alot of problems after this, went and overboosted the engine 10+ times, figured out what was wrong. Try to guess, it would go into boost, and around 4-5 K start stuttering.

Yup I was wondering why i was going so fast. After i left your house i hopped on the highway and man i almost JIZZED IN MY PANTS. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks man all of this hard work that me and Tech has done finally paid off.

And don't think that the engine is going to stay like that. Next week when i get off im going to clean the engine bay up.

So the next big mod is the 5 speed swap.

Haha seriously, so you think I would be calling people fagots for driving a suv or a van? NO. And didn't I already say that I was half way kidding?

True.

Since you're 16 and know it all, you don't have much need for this forum anyway.

Adios.

Back on topic.

Nobody is perfect. Even though the ALUMINUM FOIL block temp of 1500 degrees or better that is not a final solution. Heat shield is neccessary i like to focus at one thing at a time.

Draining air from the radiator is not the proper place.

The boost meter never saw vacuum, also since it was on the same line as the wastegate we were overboosting since that never saw vacuum.

The oil gauge wiring needs checked, the engine is getting oil fine, think the wiring is a little iffy.

Also what we thought of might of been a oil leak, turned out to be a power steering leak, so lonismos14 is losing his power steering.

Stupid Power steering and air bubbles. I highly recommend to anybody who uses the pbm swirl tank to get some different hoses and to weld the nipple shut.

But other than that i feel tha P O W A.

OK, insulting CA18 is where I cross the line. He only said one little thing and you flip out... If you actually follow his build, you'll see that he has gone the distance to make sure nothing is halfa**ed. Sure he didn't put new rings in, but i haven't seen a lot of swappers that actually have...

Like i said i try not to say stuff like that, but i dont come in my thread and point out what i did wrong that i fixed.

Because believe me i can go in his thread, and point out alot of things wrong in his thread at least 5 to 10 things. At least i gave him the respect and complimented his thread even if i didnt agree.

Its a respect thing. And i was watching his thread.

Ok Lonismo, Here are the pics you wanted of this IC piping, because I have no idea on the price of shipping, 125 for everything shipped. shoot me payment to [email protected] on paypal if you want it, and also shoot me an email to that same address to let me know you are buying it, as I dont always check your thread. There is still some oil that you can clean out if you want with water and simple green or purple magic, and let it sit on its side to drain, I've run stuff through it twice, I think its just residue inside it now, but all the pipes are clean inside. The hole on the hot pipe is for a manual boost controller. If I recall, you said the BOV you had was a greddy type s, so its the same flange.

Lemme know what you wanna do.
