I've been trying for years, but it never happens.

Seriously though, I can't say that i've ever had to deal with that. I've heard of people having to deal with it before, but it's rare. I've dealt with it plenty from past employers with the situation reversed. Seems like it's a lot more common for the male to be harassing the female.

If you mean a coworker, no. However, I did have a drunk female guest at a hotel I used to work at try and kiss me. Told her she was barking up the wrong tree.

I'm not going to say where, but it happened to me at my night manager job about 6 years ago. Funny thing is that everyone thought it was reversed when the meeting came up about it and she owned up when it came to it... and no consequences for her 'cause I didn't care and neither did anyone else, really. Double standard has it that when the guy is responsible, everyone treats it like controversy. If it's a woman, nobody seems to talk about it unless there's some huge age difference.

But I would think it would have to be pretty serious for a guy to complain about, am I right? I can't see why any male would really complain unless she was super psycho, smelly, wouldn't take the hint or something like that. Sh*t, women really do have the power there huh... :p

I'm willing to bet on yes... you don't ask a question loaded up like that without experience behind it!

Can't harass the willing...so no, never been harassed. I've had lots of situations where I've been hit on at work, are we calling that harassment? I always enjoyed being hit on...not that it happened constantly, but it definitely happened. I attribute some of it to the flight suit. Chicks dig the flight suit. I might just go dust it off and wear it around the local mall just to see what the reactions are.

Hit on is one thing, and it definitely wasn't that. Hitting on is marginally flattering, but could be creepy if it kept happening.

Dudes dig the flight suit, too. Haven't you ever seen Top Gun? EVERYONE wanted to be Maverick and Goose.

True, it also works better when the extra sock is stuffed in the front of the suit instead of the rear.... :)

Somehow, I posted this in another thread... That's what I get for multitasking I guess. Anyway, here it is in the right thread.

Just got back from a business trip to Vegas where I got to drive a 2013 QX56 rental all week. I'll post up a review some time later, but it's definitely a truck I could enjoy owning. Great visibility, good driving position, plenty of power, pleasant exhaust note (no AJ or LA V8, but still nice) and very comfortable. I couldn't figure out how to get the damn bluetooth to sync with my phone's media audio though.

"The QX might be about the largest production vehicle on the road, it might have been designed by a drunken anime cartoonist, and it might be completely unnecessary for any sort of rational commute. But you don't buy a vehicle like this out of rationality, you buy it because of its presence, unreal power, and living-room-like comfort. And in those three areas, the Infiniti is unique.” -- Motor Trend (2011)

Yea, everytime I see one out and about, they're hard not to look at. "Presence" is a good word for it. And they do sound good too!

That MT article expresses my exact thought process when it comes to vehicles of any sort. Look at it, establish what the vehicle is to be used for and either love it or leave it based on those conditions.

People that buy these are the same people that choose the V8 Option. Because we're looking for excess. We're the type of people that enjoy having just a little bit more than you need...at all times...in all things.

I just couldn't bring myself to drive something that huge and that expensive. That's why I even have a hard time with getting a truck or a larger SUV. I can justify it, but in the end I really don't need it for anything other than the pleasure of owning one and the very rare occasion I might actually use it for what it's intended for.

IMO an truck should be around the proportions of the old dodge 2500 I used to ride around in for work. Higher than usual, but not so wide or long as to make it unusable in regular traffic. The turbo diesel 6 was more than enough to haul and to still be useful when I wasn't.

The market for the large SUV is definitely diminishing in size. But it's there.

You and I would probably rather have something wicked fast.

Which is why it's hard for me to make myself want an SUV the more I think about it. My wife thinks I need one for some side projects i've been getting in to, but i'd rather just have a wicked fast sedan or wagon and call it good.

I have my Express because I needed to pull a camper. But if I didn't have to pull something heavy I'd love a Buick Roadmaster Wagon! With those super comfy cloth pillow top seats!

I'd love to have a Roadmaster or a Ford Country Squire wagon. My dream is still to build a Volvo 240, 740, or 960 Wagon and drop a V8 backed up by a manual into it. That would be pure bliss for me.

Oh yeah, those Nimitz class wagons were awesome in their day. Road like baby carriages and carried lots of people and beer. As far as modern wagons go, I'd probably look at a Dodge Magnum SRT8, or pre 1996 Audi S6 Avant.

Weak. I would have to have a manual, unless it was laying down a ton of power and even then i'd want the manual. I want to be able to DESTROY tires on command.

I'd absolutely love to have either of those. The Magnum is a really good choice considering it's pricing point, but i'd love to have the Audi if I could find one in decent shape.

The CTS-V wagon would be ideal too, but they're still a little steep price wise on the used market.

One of my closest friends has the Audi. this particular one is a S6"plus" Avant. Only one in the US. (think european model with a 4.2 V8 instead of the turbo 5 in the US version). Very torquey, roomy, comfortable and it's got a man pedal. I'm guessing he'll be selling it in a couple of years (he tends to fix,do a few minor mods, then sell).
