I'll have to post up the link later on once its all edited and ready to be released.
How about reading off the teleprompter without adding excitement and emotion... Oh wait, that's the POTUS. :rotfl

I haven't heard a word from Adam or his lady. FB has been pretty silent, too.

How much snow do you have, Ben? Anything at all?

Kerosene heater ftw. I have a large unit from Lowes, was like $145 iirc. Kerosene is about $4/gal. It burns for 8hrs on high and eats 2 gallons of fuel. If you're using electricity for fuel, you're burning through money. I could see maybe a nice 220 amp heater, but anything else is a negative as far as efficiency goes.

BTW, it's indoor safe when used with K1 fuel. I have carbon monoxide alarms anyway, but they've never gone off and I use it for supplemental heat all the time.

The kerosene heater is also portable and awesome for emergencies. Mine will literally heat the entire house if I put it in the basement, we have a split level.

Mornin' fellas

Brian, I may have to look into one of those. I have yet to find an electric that seems a whole lot stronger than my heater I have now unless it's above $150 or so. I'm not spending $150 on an electric heater to use a few days during the winter.

You know I was wondering about Adam the other day too. I haven't seen or heard from him in a very long time.
Dattebayo wrote:Well maybe they sell a roll-out electric mat you could set up. Just keep some wood planks around so you don't puncture it with a jack-stand or something, lol
I was actually looking at a large mat/floor covering they had at Costco the other night. It wasn't heated, but it was really think and chemical resistant, so everything would just puddle up on top of it. It's supposed to also insulate the floor and be puncture proof. It was $150 and seemed like it would be enough to cover my whole garage or pretty close.

I have this one.

If you want some extra fire protection, place it on a piece of sheet rock. I have a piece that mine sits on...just for piece of mind.

Yeah seems like him and Chad have dropped off the face of the earth.

We got some snow flurries but it was mostly freezing rain and sleet.
It is absolutely beautiful today though and about 20 degrees warmer.

I just got my car washed today for the first time in like two months. I think it's going to need another run through the wash though, because there was still road salt residue dripping out of the cracks.

It's 34 here right now, but it's supposed to snow again tomorrow and this weekend.

We got about 6-7 inches. Of course, most people were losing their minds over the 1/4" that was on the road last night on my way home.

Thats a good bit there. More than we have- mostly icy rain. Commute should be a treat...

The mountains are getting pummeled (finally!) but won't be able to get to them until Sunday. Damn you corporate love holidays made up for those losers who can't show their women a decent night out more than once a year.

Is there a difference in performance in rev-up and non rev-up engines? Other than the amount of oil they burn?

take it you were reffering to my G? the Rev up if i remember correctly has more peak HP but i think the non revup has more toque. over all power the revup makes more. but not a crazy amount. i switched to non revup due to lots of issues and ultimately the engine blowing up. car has been flawless since

My fleet is flithy...just f*** filthy. I have a pretty decent power sprayer, a Husky iirc. Anyway, the damn gun started leaking like a siv and got me friggin drenched, so I accidentally smashed it on the driveway over and over again until it was in several smaller pieces.

I hate letting all that salt sit on the cars and usually give them a good fresh water rinse a couple times a week.

My damn 540, Express and the wifes Dart all need oil changes.

Yeah I usually don't let any of the cars go this long without a bath, but the weather just hasn't allowed me to get a break to clean them.

We had 12-15" on the ground (just north of DC) and another 2-6 is on the way tonight, lol

I didn't get off work until 1AM this morning and we already had 6 inches on the ground. I had to come up from Friendship Heights and it looked like the plows hadn't even tried to touch Wisconsin Ave or Connecticut Ave. Funny, because the last time we had about 1/3 this amount, they salted the sh*t out of all the roads in advance and we didn't really need all that. Can this government get ANYTHING right?

After noon it started to rain/sleet on top of all the snow making shoveling out real fun. I swear the snow weighs 3x as much when it's wet like that. Ugh, my poor back, butt and legs are gonna be sore tomorrow AND I'm working a construction contract tomorrow, too. Good times!

LMAO.

Everytime I've been considering washing my car, it gets ready to snow again. I'd use the pressure washing bays, but their soap mix and hot water combo strips the wax off my car. I'd rather it sit dirty until I can bucket wash on a warmer day.

Thats A LOT of snow, Dave.

If it weren't for V-day, I'd be at the mountain already with a 12 pack waiting for tomorrow and the weekend.

It just started back up within the past 20 minutes and we're expecting it to last through the night. It's already starting to accumulate on the spots I shoveled earlier, but it's not much yet. Deidra's hoping for DC To stay closed tomorrow and get a 5 day weekend and if you guys are getting hit that hard, I imagine it will stay shut down.

Well, you gotta remember that in the city it's always up to 10 degrees warmer, and I'm willing to bet they won't stay closed. AT least I hope they don't, because I need the money. Some of us don't have those cushy salary jobs, ya know. ;)

You know there's something wrong with Windows when it's easier to fix your NTFS filesystem problems by booting into Linux and bringing up the terminal. :squint:

Deidra's not salary either. But if the gubment closes down, it's authorized leave with pay that isn't marked against her leave time.

We just finished round two of snow. 1st 2 rounds gave us a total of about 10 inches of really wet heavy stuff. Round 3 is supposed to hit tomorrow afternoon. I miss my indentured servan...I mean son, as I had to do all the shoveling myself. But on the plus side, my wife made a boston crème pie while I was outside cursin....I mean shovelling....mmmmmmm burrrp.

Rain, rain, rain. With a tad bit of snow here. Pretty lame.
The lady made me some soup while I shoveled the ice/slush from the driveway. Not quite pie, but suitable enough.

Took time to put brake grease on the shock and alignment bolts of the Subaru while I had it up in the air to change the oil. Should make things easier a few years down the road when its gets awful rusty. Also saw the brake block distributor. Its getting nasty and rusty. TSB fix in the near future.

No snow to be seen here yet, but we're supposed to get more tonight. We cleared the parking lot here at work yesterday with the redneck snow plow - a small electric forklift with a ghetto-fab in house made snow plow(which is still 100x more advance than the one Nala made years ago).

Glad it's Friday though. Me and the wife are getting a night without the kid for once, so we're going to grab some dinner and see a movie. I'm excited. Still gotta go get some Valentine's Day stuff though.
